Granger, I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your podcast. I really look forward to it every week and have been a long time listener. I know you are busy, wear many hats (Yee Yee of course lol) and have a lot on your plate. I’m just so glad you have decided to keep your podcast in the lineup of what you do!! I just wanted to tell you that it’s appreciated so very much💕. Blessings to you and yours. ❤
I personally think the end times prophecy and escatology pushes me into the word more to be prepared and to spread to others before its too late. I think it should be a wake up call and give us a sense of urgency to get right with the Lord if we are prodigal or wayward and spread the word to others. 1Thessaolians 4:13-18 speaks of the rapture and to be comforted by those words. So i dont think we should disregard that at all. The apostle Paul thought it would happen in his life way back then so we should expect it as well as did the generations before us. 2 Peter 3 warns about people not expecting it to happen in their lifetime and think we should heed said warning. But we are called to occupy until He comes and to be about our Fathers business. So live as though He can come today but do the work God has called you to do until He does.
How do I stop doubting whether I am a true Christian or "cultural Christian"? I have prayed, walked the aisle and been baptized (young around 9--which is part of my concern), study the Word of God, listen to sermons and podcast like your's and Amber's, rededicated (but not rebaptized) my life to HIM multiple times, etc. , trying to hear/find something that will make me certain. This doubt affects everything by mixing in fear of death into every event/decision in my life. I can see in your eyes and in Amber's eyes that there is a light in you that is not in me. I don't have a knowing about hearing HIS voice or sensing HIS guidance (other than Scripture). Scripture is trickly though because sometimes I am reading something HE is saying to a particular people group or individual that is not a promise to me but to them. Confusing to me. GOD doesn't "choose" everybody according to some Scriptures about being chosen, predestined, all the ones that the Father gave Jesus (John 6:39). How do I stop this doubt and become HIS for certain? I keep praying God will confirm it to me and maybe He has and I just missed it. I know HE does that because I see it in you and Amber. Thoughts? Prayers? Sheila
@worthybookjourney It's a fear a lot of us get, and it's a lie from Satan. The fact that you want to be saved, hear God's voice via scripture and others in your life is proof that you are saved. Culture Christians don't care about that stuff, they will continue to live in their sin and not want to do better. The fear of hell and the Lord are inside of you, so rest assured you are washed in the blood of Christ. When you were baptized at nine, did you know the penalties of your sins? That Jesus had to take your place on the cross so you could be washed in His blood? Also being baptized doesn't save you. Salvation is via Faith Alone, Grace Alone, Through Christ Alone, for the glory of God Alone, via scriptures Alone. That voice saying you aren't saved is not God. It's your own sin, and Satan is using it to keep you in darkness. See the light! You were bought by the precious blood of Christ. That you are one of the people who the Father gave to Christ! Nothing will pluck you from His hands. When you go astray and sin, Jesus leaves the 99 righteous to go after that one sheep who went astray. That's our reality now, we are no longer separated from the God we love and want to worship. I hope and pray that God gives you peace over this fact. I've battled this myself and it gets easier overtime. The fact that you care this much shows where your heart is, and you have a heart of a true Christian someone who is saved. Continue to study the word, and are you currently attending a church? Reach out to people at your church? Ask for prayers and tell them about your struggles. Fellowship at church is so important for our walk in Christ, we are meant to gather with other believers and hold each other accountable and to seek out guidance and prayers. May God grant you peace with these truths and to open your eyes to better understand who He is when reading Scripture and to see His movements in your life. God bless you.
Hi Sheila, I hear you. I get it. Doubt is so hard. Good news is, it's not about what we do. It's about what Jesus did. Once and for all. There's a lady here on TH-cam that really will help with the question of whether you're saved or not. Her name is Renee Roland and she teaches about the gospel and has done a lot of videos on difficult passages that can trip us up or be scary. She breaks them down. Gives context. I think her gift is definitely helping people with their blessed assurance.
When God speaks, He speaks to us all. What is said to one can easily be applied to another. I was feeling like a fraud, as I said I believed in God, but wasn’t sure I did. Knew if somone held a gun to my head and asked me if I believed in him I knew I’d be fraud if I had said yes. I wasn’t sure, and I NEEDED to be able to say yes, I believe in God, and mean it. I went on a 4 year search for myself. I needed to know that this world is not all there is. I needed to know that when I pass away, I won’t feel pain. I needed to do this for my own salvation. Spent a lot of time alone, in prayer. Talking to God and asking for Him to reveal my purpose. In this process, I found a connection to myself I didn’t know I had. I found my connection to the divine as well and now I have open dialogue with Him. Search inside yourself for this, you have it, as God gave it to you; a spark of Himself put into you, like a roadmap to Him. 🙏 I’ll pray for you that you find your way.
I just recently listened to a sermon on you tube by JP that talked about end times and he said exactly what you are saying. Just focus on being ready! So there are some sermons like that out there!
How do I get one of those hats? I’m from the mountains of the mile high city! Native Coloradan here and my kids say I wear more YeeYee gear than Granger! Want this hat to go in my “YeeYee meets Colorado” closet….so much so that hubby calls my closet the YeeYee store. 😂
Great podcast. To the man and wife that has gone through miscarriages, my wife did as well. Our story is very similar. We just finished adopting 3 kids and it is a great thing. God’s plans are higher and better than ours.
My wife and I would always tell our kids to first write down things that they would want in a boyfriend/girlfriend. Once they eventually decided to date a person we told them to date with the intention of marriage. If they didn't see themselves possibly marrying that person than they shouldn't date them and to always set boundaries and never compromise on them.
Much love for your perspectives.... thanks for sharing....it truly helps with questions already in my head and gives me a good starting point to discern my own thoughts on my own beliefs and keeps me guided towards the kingdom of heaven.... God Bless you!
Should I be scared of the end? Take the American fighter jet... To America and her allies, it is a welcome sight. Symbolizing power and might. The view of these aircraft can bring comfort and joy. However, to our enemies, our military aircraft strikes fear in their hearts, as it should. It symbolizes a justice and might that steikes great fear in their hearts and minds. To those of us who belong to Christ and flow him, his second coming will bring great joy. To everyone else, great fear and trembling. I am reminded of Matthew 7:21. This should be of grave warning to those who call themselves a Christian. Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship. I appreciate you Granger. Keep studying God's amazing word.
This is good word! Praise God Love it! I gracefully step away from conversations about the 2nd Coming and try my best to bring the conversation back into today and this precious gift we have recieved and but our eyes on Jesus. Amen Hallelujah I love you Jesus
The Revelation prophecies *LITERALLY* scare the *HELL* out of me. I hope that I am dead before all of those supernatural events start happening. When I do cosplay I usually dress as an apocalyptic fourth horseman, i.e. a grim reaper. I simultaneously am fascinated and horrified by the Book of Revelation.
I do agree that we need to be sure we are ready for his return - that is abiding in him. But I strongly disagree that we shouldn’t be mindful of things leading up to Christ’s return. I believe we do need to study it and ask God for Wisdom and Discernment. It says that even the Elect, if possible - would be deceived of the Anti-Christ. If the End Times are not studied and are completely disregarded, we could easily be one of those that are deceived. It also states that we should wait for His return as a servant waits for his Master. That verse does not seem to encourage us to dismiss the signs of his return. There have been a lot of things in the world that would make you think the time is near, but I encourage you to read Daniel and Revelation. See how similar the visions are. And you are absolutely correct, we should be preaching about Christs first return - the Gospel. And I don’t think we should WORRY about the 2nd coming of Christ, but I know he wants us to be aware of the signs that lead up to it.
Granger, curious your thoughts on the books removed from the original Ethiopian Bible to make the version we use today… have you ever studied these books? They explain the whole rest of the Bible! The great flood and the Nephilim are discussed in great detail. Reading these books helped me understand the actual Bible.
a really good pastor on the end times and how to be ready and peaches straight out of the bible is Mike Kessler from The River Christian Fellowship in Twin Falls Idaho.
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come Matthew 24:42. Don’t miss Jesus! If Jesus comes back today that would be awesome and if I die today that would be awesome too as I will be with my Lord.
You're not saved because you say you're saved. If your faith hasn't changed you. It hasn't saved you. The scariest verse in the Bible is Matt 7:21-23. Eternal Destination Status is the most important decision that any of us will ever make in this life. You can't be a Joel Osteen christian having a Disneyland salvation ...
Psalms 83:18, Read your Bible daily, pray to God, ponder on it and apply it in your life. God will send his Angles to you to find truth in his Word the Bible.
Be ready for the rapture. The rapture is the begining of the great tribulation. The second coming is after the Christians are taking out of this world ( rapture) with the Holy Spirit. It is when Jesus comes back to complete His work as the book of Revelations foretold. They are at different times.
😁We are studying escatology in Youth Group!!! In our book I heard that Christians will have souls unzipped from their physical bodies and that we will wait in a temporary world place until jesus returns then we will go to heaven. So does that mean nobody is in heaven??? It is the Everyday Theology for Teens book by Mary Wiley. It scared me a bit because i thought that we will not be with Jesus until he comes back!!
I get where you’re coming from but people should watch and Pray and see the signs and warnings in Bible bc thats when the enemy going to be fighting his hardest. So yes dont be distracted but best believe be aware (very)
Ohh this was soo good today!! Stop fretting about what could happen be at the war be at whatever notice everything on TVs about the war over there that’s what could be. We need to concentrate more on what is in our hearts with Christ. Thank you Granger. ♥️🙏🏻♥️
What if your a godly man and everyone around you just feed off you and lie to about everything and that God has something for me then why am i struggling some much and everyone just keep lieing and using me
God never said it would be easy. Go watch that 4th watch guys . Right or wrong . U may pick up what you looking for … I’m just like you . He helps me understand in way most cant
As much as I love God n Jesus I think every one I know who is at church I go to no one is there willing to reach out to help you I mean first if I don’t ever go to church I don’t have anyone ever ask me at all I would reach out to ppl who isn’t there personally Second I reach out tomchrich for help no one is everynthere to help out anyway it’s so sad For you are Christians you should be willing to help others I would help others But that’s all it’s sad upsetting So I can go to church sit together worship But I can not call any one is my friend which is sad because I suppose to feel close to the ppl are Christian but my friends from the world willing to help. Than real Christians which is so sad . You can’t make friends in church No one willing to help you out no one is really caring bout you I mean someone at our church I. A coma I never hear any one is talking about it

As a pastor, I appreciate you, Granger. Thank you for being an example of godly masculinity.
A fellow pastor concurs with this statement
A Jesus lover also concurs! ✝️
He died, He is risen, He is coming back. Those are good, good words .

While we are told to watch for the signs of the times, we do need to live in the present or the first coming WHILE watching for the signs.

Too good not to share the word in regards to being distracted by the 2nd coming.
Win souls, not arguments.

Yessss. The enemy wants us distracted. We are supposed to be doing God's work and help the harvest! ❤
Fortunately, we only need the faith of a mustard seed to be saved. It is not a work we do but one Christ does.
