This is super helpful!! Thank you!! I’m getting married in 7 days (ahhhhh!!!) and my fiancé and I will be saying our vows at the ceremony. All great tips and ideas to consider.
Thank you for your video advice, we get married next year. I am excited, scared, emotional when I think this is actually going to happen as never thought this day would come. We will use your advice. Thank you for making this video. Much respect from the UK
I have a question about one of the tips: “Get comfortable with your vows by reading them out loud a few times”. As you are reading your vows, is it okay to become emotional if it comes naturally? As someone who isn’t married nor has been to a wedding, I wasn’t sure if it would take away or add to the specialness of a ceremony. Commenters, feel free to go all out with your personal experience and thoughts :)
@@jordangilliard7186 Not everyone expresses emotions the same way. Some people really feel what they are saying, but may not show it on the outside the same as someone else would.
Both. Regardless of these tips it's always up to you. If you don't care that the vows are not matched in style then dont bother to have that conversation. If you don't care that your vows go on for 10 minutes then don't cut them. If you don't care that your vows contain hyperbolic promises and flowery language (maybe that is how you speak?!) Then do that.
A werid funny fact about me… every two years I’ll write vows to my future husband… I have a boyfriend now (3 years with him) I’m almost 20 so I’m going to rewrite my vows that I would want now.
I would argue that vows are distinct from a love letter or a private promise because they are read aloud in front of a gathering of witnesses. I think it’s important to see them as a public declaration
I’ve been stressing so much about how to write my vows for my wedding in two weeks.. thank you so much for this video!

To be honest...ur video made me more confused. Am I writing vows to promise my husband publicly or am I aiming to please the audience?

Hey, it's really not cool that you turned off auto-captions. It means that those of us who are Deaf are unable to watch your video. :/
My wedding is tomorrow and I'm writing my vows today ;/
I definitely won't read it from an iPhone. I only use Android. 🤣

I love beauty and brains. Lets pray for my wedding vows in Jesus Christ Amen👰💍🇺🇸💋
Thank you, lol
Respectfully disagree with a lot of these points. A lot of these revolve around your guests. But you aren't marrying your guests

My pastor hates the stupid traditional way and instead he made a proper biblical way it’s pretty awesome
