30 years ago today September 24th, 1991 the following albums were released: Nevermind, Bood/Sugar/Sex/Magik, The Low End Theory, Trompe le Monde, Ceremony, Screamadelica were all released. This same year, Metallica released the Black Album.
The best thing about seeing Metallica play live is that the every single person in attendance is singing every single word of every single song that they play during the show and it's one of the most incredible things that I've ever been a part of and I have been lucky enough to have seen Metallica play live over 15 times and every time I see them it's a completely different experience and some of the best memories in my life there isn't many bands that you can say that about and the fact that the way that the bands that play today are nowhere near as talented as the band's from the 70's throughout the 90's and the spectacular concerts that they put on will never be matched I was privileged to have been able to witness the best time in the history of music and the level of talent that the bands have today is not anywhere close to the talent of the bands from the beginning of the rock and roll movement that began in the 60's when everything was cutting edge and new when there was no such thing as heavy metal when bands wrote songs with meaning and people were able to relate to the song's music that is being released today is all basically ripped off from the band's that invented rock and roll

Love it!! Such an underrated awesome song with an underrated amazing solo from and underrated great album. The album Death Magnetic is their best work in the last two and a half decades easily. Great reaction.
It was this song and the album "Death Magnetic" that signaled Metallica's return to form and made up for the St. Anger album. Metallica started getting back to their roots with Death Magnetic as shown by "All Nightmare Long." Death Magnetic was such a great album.
I liked this album when it came out. It took a few full listens to see everything they did with it. During this time I was in a band and we were writing and recording ourselves. The hype for the album included that the producer had given them a stack of their old stuff and said here's your homework. It's looser than old stuff but they manage to be heavy while also pulling off the new wave of british heavy metal style which actually wasn't heavy metal as we typically think of it now. Regardless, it was the style they set out to emulate when they founded the group. The songs are well written and well integrated. I definitely enjoy the load and reload eras but was glad they did this after st anger. (Shudder)
I really liked this album despite some of it's production issues. For me, the album felt like they were getting back to the roots of what made them next level in the 80's/early 90's while including a lot of elements that made them mainstream. Also, them adding Robert Trujillo for bass was amazing. By far the best bass player since Cliff Burton for the band.

The day that never comes literally- brad stopped swaying for a little. Lol. The official video is definitely worth a watch. Lex. You should be a fitness instructor. Lol. Your energy is soooooo infectious.
The best part of this tune is the guitar harmonies between Rob, James, and Kirk. It reminds me of the old days when Cliff were writing riffs.
I remember my mate saying he hated this album when it dropped. I told him to go back and listen to this song. He thanked me. Lol!
I was a teenager when justice was out and loved their first 4 albums, but this one is right up there with those 4. This song, broken, beat and scarred, Cyanide are all up there with the best Metallica songs
my favorite Metallica album since 1991
Alot of people put hate on their last 2 albums but I loved death magnet and hardwired to self destruct
Now that you've seen the live version, it's time to see the music video for this song. It puts the song in the context of the war in Afghanistan. It is incredibly intense and is worth the time to watch it. Try this: th-cam.com/video/dkNfNR1WYMY/w-d-xo.html
One of their very best songs
There's an old 80's movie called Crossroads with Ralph Macchio. They have a guitar rock contest with the devil at the end and it reminds me of this for some reason.
They're sounding great right now. If you haven't seen them live go when you get the chance. They won't be around forever \m/
Think it should be the lex show... She comes alive with drums and fast guitar!!! True word's.🇬🇧
Ohh yeah Brad suck's!!! 🇬🇧
Awesome reaction yall!
My fav Metallica hands down
Lex feelin that solo! Definitely my favorite part of the song 😂🤘🎸
I love this song. So good. One of many from the Magnetic album.
I was seeing them live the night you published this. They did a Friday and Sunday set it was amazing, you guys have to go to Welcome to Rockville in Daytona, it's the same festival promoter and same Friday/Sunday set, you will not regret it. The live experience will change Brad's perspective.
If you ever get a chance to see Metallica live....do it.. probably the best love band ever. Always sound amazing.
Brad, Metallica played live yesterday for the first time in 738 days. Get Lex to a show before they stop touring!
I was there...
Drove to niems from Manchester England for that..
They were absolutely on it that night..
Seen Rammstein there too.
They nearly blew the place up..
Fire was so big it was creating mushroom clouds..😆🤘
That concert was banging. Check out All Nightmare Long Live from Nimes (same gig). Cool version of Fuel too.
I love it. He's up there stale as hell and she's just rockin tf out. 🤣
The official video makes this song far better IMO
Metallica is just on another level with their music.
Awesome live song!! The video is great to
