This clarifies a few things for me - I have to drop less and extend quicker to buy me time. Thanks for sharing your amazing content for free. Regards from Stockholm /Erik ⛳️
I can’t wait to try the drop & pop at the range. It’s going to rain here and it’s going to cool back down for a few days but I think that I have seen the light bulb come on. Thank you sir, I enjoy all your lessons.
Brilliant expanation of using the hip flexor to pop versus pushing up through the quads. Pushing through the quads has always resulting in me taking the ball of the toe of the club. Also, I have a OneClub which when used with this drill you can really feel the power in popping this way versus using the quads. Its actually harder to get the OneClub weight to hit the bottom of the carriage when using the quads versus using the method you demonstrated in this video. Thanks!!!
Great tip, I have come across this feeling by accident before a few times and was not sure why, but this makes total sense to me :) Im going to book in for a lesson and explore some more.
Looks great. Im a bit confused about the timing. The drill shows the "Pop up" from both feet. But at and just before impact most of the weight is over the front foot. So in the real swing, with rotation, should we pop before the weight shift, during the weight shift, or just from the front foot at impact?
Marcus , On this case of Shoes for golf . I am with you on a minimalist shoes style . Question why if it's best for golf, so many pros wear all this cushion and steel spikes ? How about a pros and con's of why the pros need steel spikes and all others have soft spikes , a lot of cushion and arch support ? I'm guessing you have a list for cons column ? :)
Do you drop and pop to create the backswing then in transition drop again and then pop to release the club. Trying to understand the sequencing of this technique relative to where the club/arms are in the swing.
Hey Marcus sometimes I worry so much about getting on my front leg that I don’t drive with both legs. I have both knees replaced and need to drive with both legs. Can you talk about this in the future. Thanks man keep it up. ⛳️🏌️♂️
Do you notice a difference between this setup and on course? Because every time you are jumping, the whole construction underneath you is moved and absorbs a part of your energy.
I've been measuring golf swing kinetics and kinematics in a lab environment with solid floor and fixed forceplates for 16 years. Have never compared simulating on course GRF's with softer surface but just IMO there will always be a slight difference due to environmental constraints but a pretty close correlation. We adapt to our environment, for example walking on wet sand to walking on grass. We have to propel ourselves with enough force, as we do naturally so work done on a soft surface will be greater. Possibly a training benefit as when returning to firm ground it will provide potentially better opportunity for creating the forces.
As always good stuff I like these videos when you just explain the how to over the ones where you give lessons Does this work for driver as well thanks
I'm guessing there is no set time you do the pop and drop given everyone's swing speed is different But is the pop needing to be timed at impact with the ball?
I would have to see this from either the ground or the concrete because it looks like he has built a trampoline effect which is not going to be out on the golf course.
Hi, we unfortunately had an issue with only one channel of the microphone recording audio, so if you're using earphones or headphones, the sound might appear to only come out of one of them. Check both and then just wear the side that works. Sorry about this!
I understand your emphasis on tapping into vertical force and "drop and pop", but rotation taking care of itself seems vague and not intuitive. Nonetheless, I am a big fan Marcus. Thanks!
@@michaelsliwinski8044 really? Do you think of rotation when throwing? Probably not, yet you will rotate loads. It just shows how far removed from intuitive motion golf tuition has become. I tried this drill whilst playing today, and WOW. 8 iron 160 yard carry into the wind. You may be unconvinced, but I am sold.

GRF is the way PERIOD

Great presentation
Thanks Coach, like your method.

Yes, I am confused about the timing also.
tanks you very much is dommage for me because my english isn t perfect but your vidéo is very very intesseting.
Very good drill, I’ll be using it to see if it actually helps me swing faster. Cheers.
Qual-i-tee.
Keep 'er lit Bro!
Anyone teach your methods in the US? I love your videos!
Great one.. can make a video for ‘ not so vertical driver ?’..

Yes there's drop and pop both ways 👍

Is the force in both feet or mainly the lead foot and how does relate to using the timing of the GRF board - Cheers
Do you start the drop and pop while your back is still to the target?
Magic.☘☘☘

My 10 yo does this hop and people give him shit but it gives him more power.
I have tried your pop and drop and then pop again. I can’t believe what that has done for my swing.
Sound going from left to right you may want to look into that Marcus

nice shoes ...your own design ?
They have springs in them 🤔

Check out my latest tutorial to help with timing your 'pop' 👍

i cant transfer that force into the club.
Had no sound in my video, tried twice to load it ??

did this today on the range , I top the ball every time ÅRRRGGGG what am I doing wrong ?
Maybe jumping back? Remember to keep that low point focus in front of the ball.
you tried it
Get rid of the Michelin Tire Man vest get another 5 mph on your rotational speed. 😀
😂 That's hiding my turbo booster 😂
u never say exactly when this happens
