Amazing hospitality and experience during the Covid-19 Pandemic. When your not in a tourist spot youll most likely see the true hospitality in these provincial areas. I always try to avoid tourist areas. Away from all the craziness, stupidity, racism, riots, destruction, political drama, hate, crimes and greed during this 1st and 2nd wave Covid-19 pandemic, both of you are the luckiest travelers to be surrounded by beautiful places and kind people. You have inspired me to do my travels on bike instead of going in a camper van. As I´m already 66, I will go with an ebike and am currently training to get back in shape doing 30 yo 50 kms a day on my ebike. Thank you so much for this beautiful episode, full of kindness and humanity. 16 years ago I stayed in Mũi Né, at the very opposite end of the Phan Thiết Bay, some 60 km North of Kê Gà. I stayed in a small resort for USD5 per night including mosquito net and fan, right on the beach. Back then there was no engine on the coracles. The fishermen moved about with a single paddle fixed on to the front of their basket boats.

Another kick butt and inspiring video you two. The bánh mỳ is pretty tasty and was a staple of ours in Vietnam. There is something about stopping on the side of the road, sitting in kiddie chairs and eating bánh mỳ with an egg or two for breakfast. Hope you made it over to Cambodia before the borders closed, but if not, Vietnam is not a bad place to be stuck. The food is way WAY better there. We got sick as dogs in Cambodia and had a hell of a time getting it out of our system. Try doing traveler's sign language at the local pharmacy in a small village describing your food poisoning systems! Yeah pretty comical! Cheers from Florida! Ron & Petra

Great video, we are enjoying following along. There is an interesting fish market just north of you at the docks in Phu Thui which is not touristy, and an amazing fishing beach in Mui Ne but that is on the tour rout, though may be OK now. Enjoy the coast and stay safe.

I have either caught SARS or I am having severe side effects from my medication which led me to think I may have COVID. I retested for a second time and the results was negative, what I have been going through with SARS I couldn't imagine what COVID virus would do to a human soul. Hi Margareth! We use a Sony a6000 with a 18-105mm lens. Also a Sony FDR3000X action camera with a magic arm to get interesting angles on the bike and a DJI Spark drone for aerial footage. Hope this helps!

Coracles are central to ancient Britons who used the waters and coast to get around as roads were very bad and there was the chance of getting attacked by bands of robbers; There are still societies of locals around the rivers and coasts who build and use coracles. Are you vegetarians? I hope next year the virus will be gone and I can visit your homeland, Holland and see the home of some the best velomobiles in Europe. I'm trying to get practice in now and do 50km minimum a week and hope to do that a day soon, I want to go from Scotland to Greece.

I've been quite lucky to have visited Se Asia for 7 months last year. Because now, Ouf. I think it's a good idea to for you to avoid some places. You are at the mercy of the authorities. I don't film as much as you do.i never feel comfortable pointing my phone towards people.

Hi. How do you film your journey? What cameras do you use? Gopro? DSLR? Do you use some bike gadget to tie it on the bike or do you handle it with hands only?
Hi Margareth! We use a Sony a6000 with a 18-105mm lens. Also a Sony FDR3000X action camera with a magic arm to get interesting angles on the bike and a DJI Spark drone for aerial footage. Hope this helps!

Are you vegetarians? I hope next year the virus will be gone and I can visit your homeland, Holland and see the home of some the best velomobiles in Europe. I'm trying to get practice in now and do 50km minimum a week and hope to do that a day soon, I want to go from Scotland to Greece.
The coracle is used all over the world and a simple but fascinating vessel! Would be great to make one sometime 😊 Are you planning to go to Greece on a velomobile? Thanks

Another great Video - well done. It's a real shame that your Bike trip is on hold right now :(......do you hope to return to cycle touring soon, perhaps when the Virus is under control or there is a vaccine? Do you mind if I ask what software you are using for video editing??
Thank you Stephen! It is and we are hoping to be out and about whenever things settle down... The upside is we can earn some money now to fund our next adventure 😊 We use Premiere Pro and also hear great stories bout Final Cut X. We hope you will catch the "video bug" too 😉 All the best, E&M
@@WheelstoWander Thanks for the reply :) Yes, I'd like to move from shooting stills to Movie, but it's a challenging change and gear / software required can be $$$ - I'm getting on my bike in a few weeks and will be riding South Island of NZ for a month or so.....a good practise ground!
