  • I've been loving combining form and function lately by making this elegant pour paint serving trays. You can use any technique you use for any other type of pour art and then just finish them in a coat of resin. I used a 3:1 ratio of floetral to paint and water to thin.
Featured colors tray one: Indigo, light metallic blue, bright aqua green, gold, white.
Featured colors tray two: Payne's grey, magenta, bordeaux red, gold, white.

I’ve been an artist my whole life. I work as a graphic designer professionally and have always done abstract art on the side. In mid 2020 I was working on a commissioned piece and was asked if I could make something in the style of pour painting. I had been pinning acrylic pouring/fluid art on Pinterest for a few years but had know idea how to create it. Thanks to the many wonderful artists on TH-cam who were willing to share their creation videos, tips, and tutorials on liquid acrylic painting I was able to start creating work in this style and I wanted to share that experience with you. Make sure to like and subscribe to my channel to follow along my journey of failures and triumphs and see all the fun techniques I try for the first time. There will also be tips and tricks I learn along the way along with easier beginner projects you might want to try at home! Comment below if there’s something you’ve seen that you want me to try I’d love to hear from you!

I just got a tray kit from etsy, and seeing yours is truly an inspiration. I'm wondering how you cover the holes for the handles from the paint and resin. What do you use?? Thanks

@@scooper3752 I don't actually ever cover the holes, I just let resin or paint go through them.

What is the drying time for something like this?

For the paint portion 1-3 days. Just depends on the thickness of paint. Then I add 2 coats of resin that I usually do over 2 separate days. Then I let it cure for 3 days before I add handles and call them done. Hope this helps!
