I swapped out the 255/75 R17 KM2s that came on my ‘23 Willys with Rubi spec 285/70 R17 KO2s. Speedo was off about 1.5 to 2 mph at 60. Using the devices shown here when I set the tire size to the measured figure it was off even more. The factory setting for the stock BFGs was 32.09”, the manufacturer’s spec for the tire. BFG’s spec for the 285/70 r17 KO2s is 32.8”, so I made the initial setting with JScan at 32.75” and it was still off by about 1mph at 60. I reset it to 33” and the Speedo I’d dead on the money. BTW, I used a GPS unit to benchmark actual MPH.
Great stuff
Ty for the video
Great info, worked out good for me.
Great to hear!
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Asking for a friend ;)
What’s the smallest tire diameter they will let you input?
splendid ~ see u around- 🖐
Just subbed your channel!
Maybe you can an answer my question. I have falken wildpeak r/t01 38x13.5x17 tires, the specs say they are 37.8” but when I measured them I got 36” and the aev says go to the nearest .25 so I put 36.25 in my aev. So idk what size to actually put in the aev??? I’m currently running it on the 36.25” tire size
It means go to the nearest .25” INCREMENT. So, in your case, use 36”, NOT 36.25”.
Ha ha ha … when you put those falcons on I asked about this. Glad you did a follow up. That’s a great setup. I put 37’s on a Silverado and I had a programmer as well. Several issues when I went with 37’s. I had to have my front bumper cut, raised, re-rolled and re-chromed so it would clear. I also used sand bags inside the tires to balance them which was nice not having any weights on my one off wheels.
Awesome video. Would this work for 2017 jeep jk? Or do I need a different scanner and adapter?
It should work the same!🍻
I did not get how you selected the cables to plug your ome cables.
Me either and I’m trying to figure it out as I text !!! Help !!!
From other videos I’ve watched there is maybe more to this procedure than shown here.
So the two black harnesses under the dash? Where did those come from?
Just wonder if I need to order the Ysplit adapter or just the veepeak unit
Can’t I just plug the unit directly into the OBD2 port? Or do I need the adapter to plug it in somewhere else?
You need 12+8 cable in order to bypass the built in security that prevents you from just plugging the Bluetooth OBD adapter. You won't be able to do it without the cable.
@@deerpathacres4426 where can I find that
What did you end up setting yours to? I keep trying to find the sweet spot for shifts. The tire height measurement didn’t seem to work for me
What size tires do you have? I ended up setting to 33.25”. My fuel miles went down 1-2km per 100km. Shifting gears is good.
@@RenaissanceMan I’m trying to remember what the stock ECU size was? I have 285/70/17s. They measure 31.5
@@22blkgladdy50 ya damm, I can’t remember either, I unfortunately deleted a video I had of it. But the stock Duellers A/T245/75/17 supposedly measures 31.5. I never realized that some tires measure inch less than actual specs. My new tires are 2” bigger than stock only giving 1” extra clearance. Probably be jumping straight to 37” next time. 🍻
Quick question maybe you can help. Do you hear a sound from the shifter when pressing the brake in park? Thanks bro it’s been bugging me
Say I need to figure which cables are to be plugged into , help ?????
Sorry just seen now, did u figure out?
You did not show the whole process
What did I miss?
Hey I have to say..liked your video but I was feeling kinda sad hearing your baby in the background..I hope his mom was there with him or her. The baby seemed wanting to talk to you, and you never answered him or her. Baby's need a 100% attention from us. I felt the need to talk to your precious baby. You are blessed and please talk back to them when they talk. All the best!
Her mother was holding her while filming. She was like still a baby when when filmed this. Babies cry, it natural. Don’t worry our daughter is far from neglected!
@@RenaissanceMan thanks for your response. Your a good man. And thanks for taking the time to make video's. All the best to you and your family
