I haven't got mine yet (I ordered one from e-bay), but according to what I read, it doesn't do video. Video would have been fun, but I have other cameras I can do video with.
Hey man, i was in a bit of rush while viewing your video. I wanted to ask if the camera took video footage and if it did what sort of quality was the footage when captured since ive been looking for a started film making camera that was cheap and ive been coming up on these quite often. thanks.
This one doesn't. When I got it almost seven years ago I think that wasn't even around. I don't own a camera that does both so I'm afraid I can't help you with that one. These cameras are popular because if you own lenses and accessories for the brand you can still use them so you don't start over buying everything for it. Before I buy anything I check consumer reports and comments from shoppers with reputable retailers. That's probably the best way to go. Have a great day.

Although this camera is pretty ancient now, I have been lent this to use for my UNI course. Although I would have preferred to hear you talk about this camera, this may not be possible and thats ok, thanks from starting from the very basics of how to use the dslr camera :-)

I started around 2000 and have been happy with them. Both the film and digital were great investments for me.

The K10 D was a great digital camera - for Pentax. The IST * digitals were basically left in the dust compared to the makes from Nikon and Canon.

I have camcorders and I rather use those for video. I haven't used an SLR for video yet so I don't know how that would work.
