I'm a 31 year old rock-musician who just realized after watching this the true beauty of classical music. So many people all working together and doing awesome - it's like a super-band. It IS a super band!!! Just all acoustic. Amazing how I never appreciated this before!
@@daniel3231995 I feel sorry for you if you think rock music is just noise. Come to think of it, all music is just noise. Vibration through sound. Nothing more, nothing less ;)
I am a big fan of metal and rock too but also classical music, there are just so many unbelievable pieces out there! Elias by Mendelssohn is such an amazing piece of music but also sgt pepper is
1:23 and 3:35 are just... wow.. I have heard many fabulous oboe players and this is by far the best I have ever heard. Such a fantastic piece. So glad I got to play this piece in TMEA
Isaac W I know, right? It’s fun to play sometimes but some of it is not particularly exciting. But when you play it all together it does sound brilliant and it’s an amazing experience
When I listen to classical music I feel at peace in my soul, no matter my disappointments in life. I guess it does for me what religion does for others.
Simply a great performance. The performance of Brahms's 1st Symphony was equally impressive. Sadly one of the last concerts to have Jan Diesselhorst on stage, who passed away only a month after this concert. He truly was a great musician and person.
Bellissime e squillanti le Danze Slave dirette magistralmente da Simon Rattle.... oggi sono tra i brani più famosi del compositore Antonin Dvořák....Grazie sempre cara Carla!
In fact, you can attend in the Digital Concert Hall the Berliner Philharmoikers concerts "live" via the internet - and therefore also be late. However, the recordings are also available (including "rewind" function ) from a video archive after a few days.

I like the maestro's brisk tempo. The accents add just the right amount of "fire" which keeps everything moving. A great orchestra performing in its tradition of excellence. (No offense.. but I see Bilbo Baggins when I look at Simon Rattle)
Had to learn this for my music exam. But, now I'm here for fun. I like this particular one the best! Antonim Dvorak: Czech dance op. 46 no. 8, in g-minor, Furiant

Crazy. I adore Berliner Philhamorniker version. But, but... You should see the most vivid, joyful and skilful performance made by Gimnazija Kranj Symphony Orchestra.. Just watch and compare.
Antonin Dvorak wrote this piece as part of a set of 16 other orchestral works in 1878. His inspiration was Johannes Brahms Hungarian dances. Brahms used actual Hungarian folk music. Dvorak only used his Slavic folk music he wrote from his own melodies.

Ryan Minton he’s Albrecht Mayer, just for future reference :)
As a clarinetist some parts are insanely fun and some are kinda boring. Overall it's fun and I'm glad my orchestra played it.

Just by looking at the conductor, you can tell that this gentleman is a great one! Bravo as always Sir Simon!!
Je skvělý a jsem moc rád, že je k nám do České republiky propojen se svou ženou, skvělou zpěvačkou Magdalenou Koženou

Hard to imagine these days :-(
Sad but true...
And if you were in the audience you'd just be worrying about germs - has COVID given us all mild PTSD?

Here, Dvorak threw in some short passages for oboe and piccolo. Quite an exquisite tone colour! Love the way he explores different WW combinations!

The enthusiasm of the conductor..
playing this in my orchestra this year! it’s so very fun
If Dvorak could have heard that, he'd be delighted...
Amoooo Dvorak. Amo as danças slavas!
The dirigent looks as he has more fun than the whole orchestra :D
DieBacille It should be like that😀
It was some kind of overture for his concert on 6 January 2008, followed by Brahms's 1st Symphony.

they are the most professional orchestra of germany
Yes, they are the most professional/the best orchestra in the world.
Kristyna Stefanova Really it depends who you ask. Its a matter of opinion.
Definitely one of the best; historically London and Philadelphia have both had excellent orchestras too.
Ehm.... I would se the Egyptians orchestra.
Fun fact: in the early Middle Ages, West Slavic tribes lived on the territory of modern Berlin!
