@ 10' X 15' tarp as a beavy. An orange Survival Blanket would help, if it gets cold, even from the rain. It's all about planning beforehand and try to keep yourself out of the Elements.

Awesome. But perfect weather conditions (zero wind!), perfect ground conditions (those stakes were planted!) in a perfect spot (river, birch, evergreen right there). And why does every bush film turn into a cooking show? We get it, you packed in great food. How far away is your vehicle, half a mile?

Any cool draft from the rear? That log looked like it could of used some pine boughs to insulate a bit more. And did that poncho liner keep you warm enough throughout the night? Either way your videos are great and entertaining and we appreciate you sharing your experiences.
No draft. I had a log back there. For this temps the setup was fine for me. Everyone has different comfort levels.

Easy camp setup, great spot by the river, and that was some nice editing of cleaning up camp at the end. Glad you were able to get out for a nice overnighter. I've been off for a few weeks... wife and I bought a new truck/travel trailer. Wife wants to go more often with me, so I'll gladly become a glamper to have her along. Bad idea to camp beside a creek example raid a lot the creek over flow and your tent is going down the creek or your tent get flooded your in trouble always kee a big distance for the creek

I know it's a choice, but I never wear work gloves anymore. Too many pinched fingers laying slabs, put me off. My hands are now a mess, so be careful.
I didn't wear them once and drove a stick into my hand. It was deep and tore up bad enough I had to get out and messed up the day. Got stitches and couldn't use my hand for apx a week. So I wear them every time I deal with cutting or moving wood now. 😉
What is wrong with U? U had a normal Light af a candle in the morning? Why did U used a flint?
The candle went all night long. Only lit it once ,🔥👍
No sleeping bag, no tent, but you sure'n hell stuff your face with some gourmet food and drink, Mr. Bushcraft!
Camping with minimal gear is always nice after a winter of full load out. Doesn't mean you have to stave though.

Your remark, "Everyone needs 'a foods' (sic) and drink"., is a result of contemporary thinking. Sure, everyone needs food and drink, but as far as food goes, we'd all be better off if we ate less. Humans don't NEED to stuff their faces with food three or four times a day.
