One of the most intense scenes of the film, and a scene that you can't help but be on the edge of your seat hoping that he would make it out alive, with everything that happened, and the duo they've been along with how much of a build-up they had on each other, as well as how much they meant for each other. A film with so much build-up, filled with raw emotions and feelings with a film that is truly memorable, unforgettable, legendary, and filled with emotions that you honestly can't help but feel alongside the characters & the emotional story behind it, especially what happens at the end which just makes this film turn to a sudden turn of just pure sadness especially with the build-up & how emotionally intense it was. A film & song where its just pure black and white, a film & song that has such strong emotions & feelings from/to your heart. Its a film where you just feel pure raw emotion as if you're the character or if you're seeing it first hand in person. A film with such a perfect selection of a cast with such underrated actors such as Jean Reno, Natalie Portman debuting in her first ever film which launched her acting career, Gary Oldman, and so many others. A film with such an emotional bond that you honestly can't explain it fully, its something that you honestly have to feel it to experience it. Its a film that's meant to be experienced through emotion, not through explanation just like Leon whenever you would see his character's facial expressions of what he would feel, like the amount of strong emotion behind it, is incredible, especially towards the end of the movie where you'd expect it to end off in a happy ending but it ends sadly. It can't be described fully in words, just through your own heart & emotion, especially with how perfect the film was, like there's no flaws with it. It's a film filled with strong emotional, action-packed storyline and soundtracks that honestly make you feel sad for Leon and Mathilda as if you're a part of them. Jean Reno truly nailed the performance like hes so underrated, and it really shows the amount of talent Natalie had which started her career in one of the greatest films of all time like all the roles were nailed perfectly. Its just a masterpiece. Not only that but this movie didn't have much of a budget either, and it turned out to be so successful and one of the greatest films of all time, which you can't deny, its something that everyone agrees on, like it or not, it is. Luc Besson the director literally nailed it & also proved how even at the time you didn't need that need such a huge budget to accomplish these things, and what an era it was, and what a big name for European Films if not the greatest European film, in comparison with American films that need such a big budget to accomplish the effects, it really shows the difference between the two as all thats needed is raw emotion. Such a masterpiece, a film like I said filled with such an emotional bond that you honestly can't explain it fully, its something that you honestly have to feel it to experience it. Truly unforgettable, memorable and much more. I honestly wish it got more credit that it was unfortuantely given, it honestly deserved so much credit, especially an award for Jean Leno and his performance. Such a perfect selection, such a perfect story, film, and of course music selection. One of the few films where you experience raw emotion, and feelings. Like even the trailer itself is just amazing. A film that you honestly feel through your heart, its just heartfelt like the emotions of the film just go through your heart and makes you feel it as if you're one of the characters especailly as Leon and Maltithda, and not only that but heartbroken as well, especially at the end of the film where you see a flash of light slowly entering and then fading away knowing that hes passed & finally achieved the peace he wanted, while also having something to loose for, and love with actual roots being placed - a meaning for him which was Maltithda. Like even now, when I watched this movie, I still feel the emotions thats how strong it is, its attached, especially every time when you look back to it and it always hits you over and over again. Like it's just unexplainable, you can try your best to explain it, but its something you just gotta feel for yourself like I said and its so emotionally intense. 5 stars. A film that literally hit me hard so many times in my feelings, and made me realize the true meanings of love & life, purpose. regret, change and gave me a perspective, a will, a reason, change - everything. It literally has so many messages, and feelings, of dreams, hopes, and roots. Like man this film just changes you, pure chills, pure tears, pure emotion, pure sadness and much more as well. So much to say, its honestly endless, with so many emotions & feelings.
Except he’s shooting regular cops in the finale. I doubt all those officers are corrupt. It doesn’t detract from the film imo but funny when u think about it
I know its a movie but incredibly bad movement by the ‘swat’ team barrels up in the air , single person movement , no corner checking , just all around bad
The moment the guard made that secret knock from Mathilda, his men were gunned down. That's because the knock was actually a cry for help, which is why Leon came prepared.

See how the swat sounded professional? Now in every movie like this is some black guy swat team member talking slang and making dumb pop culture jokes. This was way more realistic
My joke from three months ago about remake with Boutella turned out to be true.😂 They released it, calling "The Killer's Game", which was written as the book in 1997. Of course, "without the influence" of "Leon", released in 1994.😂 The trash came out - a wrestler is a wrestler. Apart from sweet fawn Sofia there is nothing in this new "masterpiece". And this movie, apparently, is for those who considered the "love line" in "Leon" to be unsaid... Only the rescued girl is 5-10 years older than Matilda. And even marries the "adopted" killer-"dad" in the end.🤮🤮🤮
“Eeeeeevveeerrrrryyyyyoooneeeeee!!”. This line that Gary Oldman did always gave me goosebumps. Legendary actor indeed👍🏾
Fun fact: Gary Oldman admitted that the line was improvised.
At that time, he was still Gary Youngman.
I love how he said everyone and in black ops cold war the achievement was everyone hmm similar 🤔

What a thrilling duel. A contract killer with humane principles (no women, no kids) against a corrupt police officer.

What a unforgettable scene, Leon is legendary man, should of been a sequel, even if it wasn't as good.
