fun fact: Andrew Orochi's entry was a cover of a japanese song, Dress by Buck-Tick (a song I only know because I'd heard Abingdon Boys School cover it -- Orochi's version sounds much closer to the cover Abingdon Boys School did btw) and Buck-Ticks singer was named Atsushi Sakurai, who unfortunately passed away October 19, 2023. So, good on him for dedicating that to him, he ripped it

The guy's name is Alon Tamir, he's actually one of my teachers in college and he's one of the best guitar players and biggest inspirations of mine in my home country.
Check out his album The Oak And The Secret, it's full of sick shred! And yeah in a way he is indeed the Aaron Marshall of my country :D

But, I don’t want to comment that on the main thread because I legitimately think that every single one of you mfs should be in the final video. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I liked every entry in this video more than every single entry in the video that Jared released yesterday.

Internet created times where unrecognised bedroom guitarists play better than everyone in the 70s combined. So much talent bro

I have an idea about this. You could have a championship with rounds, which would make a series. In each episode you have a guest like Nik, or Rudy, or any other TH-camr, and you watch let's say 250 together and pick 10 players (JUST AN EXAMPLE, Jared will know the right numbers) to get to the next round, or to the finals. That's already 6 qualification rounds (6x250=1500). After that you can have the finals with all the TH-camrs together and pick the winners in a livestream maybe. I think it would be very fun, and beneficial for everyone participating, including the players and the viewers as well.

Orochi is the most versatile and fast player but his solo wasn’t creative, it was just arpeggios and tapping repeating, definitely impressive and better than anything I could dream of doing, but there are way more creative solos in this video
@@apachexprime4768 yes, that's why I'm saying a new take is coming. Whether Jared sees it or not - remains a question. However I'd disagree quite a bit on the creativity side still. Let's just say there's way more that meets the eye or the ear. You need to be more attentive than that... But you'll see what I mean in due time.

The players that really scare, err...I mean "inspire" me are b_a_x_t_y (Bastian Martinez), Pierre Danel, and Stephen Taranto, ok, and Tramaine is up there too. Honorable mention on this one, for me, is the one from "stipp", that one was really interesting, good technique but also great note choice.
I'm a drummer, this sums up how I feel whenever I watch El Estepario play.
He's so good.
I'll never be as good as him.
But I'll keep trying.
Other drummer here: best way to enjoy it is to do a different thing yourself :)
