    I would love to grow more Lavender. Last year I went nuts with cuttings and got some good plants out of it. Excited to do it again this year.

      Isn't it great propagating your own plants and thinking 'I did that!'? Best of luck for this year 😀

    Don't put them in the sun. Put them on the shade until they root.

    This video is so exciting!! Unfortunately, every dang lavender plant I've ever bought died:( I'm going to get another mother plant and try this method. Not going to give up, but don't understand why I can grow anything 'but' lavender! THANK YOU, subscriber from Florida USA

    I've taken cuttings for White Buddleia and Hydrangea's and made a video on these about 3 years ago. Also took cuttings for Spirea, Lavender and Hebe's.

    Hi, thanks for sharing these tips. Is there any difference in growth between from seeding and cutting? Or any drawbacks from cutting for growing lavender?

    • @AgricultureAcademy
      @AgricultureAcademy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, yes there are lots of differences. Cuttings are a good option if you want mature plants faster!

    When is the best time to cut?

    • @AgricultureAcademy
      @AgricultureAcademy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lavender cuttings root best when they are taken from softer (but not completely soft), semi-hardwood stems. So try and use new growth from your current growing season that has had a chance to mature slightly. Hope this helps!

    It will not grow wothout rooting hormons?

    • @AgricultureAcademy
      @AgricultureAcademy  ปีที่แล้ว

      It may, but the hormone speeds up the process and helps all cuttings root evenly

  • @karaleong8282
    @karaleong8282 ปีที่แล้ว

    This tutorial is problematic. Cuttings will dry out while attempting to root if you follow these directions. Placing in a warm, breezy area in sun while rooting will dry out before any roots develop. And you mention hormone uptake but don't discuss rooting hormone. Plus, no discussion on rooting media. Lavender is easy to propagate but this video doesn't quite help.

      I put mine by a north facing window. They have light but no direct sunlight. They are also under a transparant plastic cup to get high humidity
