@@HowtoAutomotive what if you fill up the reservoir then loosen the blender skew and nothing come out?
A little bit of air come out and the reservoir does go down a bit but nothing comes out and coolant stops coming down from the reservoir.
Just finished doing this in my 300 and I can say that it was a flawless replacement very great video to follow !!!

Great video. I have a 2013 5.8L is it pretty much the same?
Thank you Brian
Have any suggestions on change in the heater core so I don’t have to remove out the whole dash
By any chance do you know what's the normal running temperature on a 2014 Chrysler 300 3.6l .. or at least what does your run at when it's fully warmed up
Thank you for your video
Great video 👍🏿
Wess Grant thank you!
Hi
I just found out my car has the same problem
Does it have to be switch right away or can it wait a few days?
Hey to change a thermostat on 2011 Chevy Malibu how do you bleed it after changing the thermostat
Wow..! Very Helpful thank you.
Thank you for watching!
I have a quick question is it necessary to take the hose off if you can just take the whole housing off with the hose still on if you are only changing out the thermostat? Great video btw
Thanks, great video but been 20 min and top hose hasn't gotten hot. Any suggestions?
Awesome thanks!!
Good video thank you very much
Whats the normal temperature to look for in the temperature level after its changed ?
Was your check engine light on before you changed the thermostat?
What brand is this thermostat housing unit? Could you please post a link to it?
Very helpful. Thanks.
itstimetoclimb Thank you!
Man.... after watching this it took 15 minutes 👍🏼💯
Glad the video help. Thank you for watching!
Can you point out where the 2 thermostat temperature sensors ore on the 2014 Chrysler 300s please?
Great video!
Thank you!
Replaced a thermostat, filled reservoir but nothing comes out of the bleeder valve. I assume you don’t want to start the engine or do you? OK, I spent 10 or 15 minutes looking around at more videos to see if I could find an answer. When I came back I decided to open the valve again and Wala it was bleeding. Must’ve taken a while for gravity to work the coolant through the system. The tank was dry when I started this project which may have had something to do with it. Great video. Took maybe 20 to 30 minutes to get the actual replacement done.
Hey quick question is there 2 gaskets that goes on, when I took the old thermostat housing off it was a O ring on the Block where the thermostat housing bolts in at and the gasket that actually goes onto the thermostat or is it just that 1 gasket that goes onto the thermostat bc I basically did everything you did in the video and my car started back overheating. Also I didn’t bleed it either maybe that’s why it ran hot possibly
It's the old gasket, just remove it.
Great video 👍
Help! What if the fan never turns on?
Is their any special pressure release
Thanks a lot for the video you saved me $
Jesus Lucas glad to help you save. Thank you for watching!
Hey Brian. Thanks for the info. I have a 2013 Town and Country. Is it pretty much the same thing?
Should be pretty much the same. The 3.6L VVT is a common engine for Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, and Ram. Yours is the same engine, but there might be just a few little differences here and there.
Thanks so much
Thanks a lot!!!
Awesome ❤️
Do yo u have a vid of where the temp sensor is located or maybe a diagram
Those matco plyers though 💯💯💯
How do I know if the thermostats going bad smart car is not overheating but it does go up when idling .
Do you add fresh oil to the oil filter before you spin it on for oil changes?.. Some arent even horizontal anyways. ... Just wondering. . thx
RAM TRUCKS only on diesels.
Great video can you please help me we’re is the coolant sensor for this car
Did you end up getting it figured out?
What about changing the freeze plugs
So you don’t need to drain the coolant from radiator?
Imma finna try to do this
Does anyone know how long it takes for the check engine light to go off, after thermostat replacement?
You don't need to put silicone around the housing?
Did you drain anything before starting ?
Awesome
I like your video. Going to attempt to change mine out tomorrow. These places want $400
How do you remove the engine light one once you have already put the new thermostat
It should go away by itself… my CEL went away by itself after a few drives! I gotta change out my thermo again… the computer recognizes that the problem is fixed.. most of the time
Will the check engine light come off
I did everything except I forgot to bleed it...its still running ok should I still bleed it?
Great video I have one question. My check engine light came on I went to auto zone that's how I found out I needed the thermostat so I changed it out like your video showed step by step but light is still on
Joka Robinson you have to go back and have them turn the light out with the scan tool. It will not go out by itself.
Oh ok thanks After I asked you I called them they said a 40 to 50 mile drive cycle or disconnect the battery
@@mrtalldarkandgangsta Had mine changed and the mechanic removed it with the scanner...no problems since
Does anyone’s thermometer gauge move around a lot ? Like especially the last third ?
So i changed out the housing and the thermostat. The only thing i didn’t do was add more was add more coolant. But my check engine light is still on for the thermostat and the hosed didnt warm up after about 10 minutes. Any advice?
Temperature sensor!
