Didn't the lead singer take SOD seriously? I remember reading somewhere that he didn't realize that the rest of the guys were being satirical until a couple years later
Devin Townsend has been known to make some whacky stuff Punky Brewster (an album about a death metal band that sells out and starts playing pop punk), Ziltoid the Omniscient (an alien overlord declares war on Earth because he thinks our coffee tastes "fetid"), Deconstruction (a dude meditates so hard to understand the meaning of life, he meets the devil who offers him final understanding in the form of a cheeseburger)... plus it looks like he might be doing something like it again with PowerNerd from the guy that brought us City, one of the angriest metal albums ever recorded

Dear Wyatt, as an Italian I must bring up Elio e le Storie Tese (literally "Elio and the Troubled Stories"), who were probably the most famous and influential comedic rock act in my country. Seriously, I cannot underestimate the impact they had on Italian pop culture: they were one of those generational bands in the 90s whose appreciation has continued through the years until now (even though the consensus is that their most memorable works are in the 90s). Consider that I got into them thanks to my dad, and that, even if I don't really pay attention to lyrics in general, still to these days I remember their songs by heart because they are simply so stupidly hilarious in a genious way. Well, the only problem is that they sung in Italian, which means their jokes cannot be understood by, well, the rest of the world, but I'll try to give you some context anyway. Curiously enough, there's been a certain tradition of "demented" rock (that's the name sometimes used) in Italy: if we exclude the case of Squallor (who basically wrote pop songs with obscene and idiotic lyrics), the presence of a group such as Skiantos (one of the first Italian punk bands) was quite substantial for Italian alternative culture. Elio e le Storie Tese were founded in Milan in 1980 by singer Elio, and through the years they gained quite the follow among the young people, which came to an apex in 1996 with their appearance at the Festival di Sanremo with a song, "La Terra dei Cachi", that was basically a parody of Italy itself and of all its hypocrisies. Their first album (Elio samaga hukapan kariyana turu, which is a title in Sinhalese language that means: "Let's cum and fart with Elio") came out in 1989, and through the years they released some albums that are quite classics, such as Eat the Phikis (1996) and Italyan, rum casusu çikti (in Turkish: ""Italian (man) found out to be a Greek spy") from 1991, which is probably their most lauded work. Elio & co are basically Frank Zappa alumni, if you want: their extremely (and geniously) stupid lyrics are matched by a certain musical prowess and by a will to mix quotes from popular music and styles such as pop rock and progressive rock. I think the already mentioned Italyan, rum casusu çikti could be a good suggestion, even if a lot is lost without knowing what they are talking about (the songs remain sonically good though), but trust me: whenever I listen to them, it's hilarious, and I cannot find myself but remembering all the words.
The only limit for a non-Italian person is that EeLST's poetry and comedy is full of italian pop culture references. Their lyrics are also quite complex in a certain way, even for the common italian man. Their contribution to italian culture behind the comedy imaginary -however - is huge : i surely would cite their live performance ("Sabbiature") during a concert in 1991 when they publicly mocked and denounced some politicians of that time, anticipating by few months "Tangentopoli", one of the most important stages of Italian history, a period during which a lot of corrupted politicians were uncovered by a very big investigation called by the press "mani pulite" ("clean hands"). It was completely live on television, in one of the most important italian tv-channel and they were openly censored during their performance. They are very talented musicians too: as an example i would surely suggest their live with Santana (late 90s) or their more recent exhibition with Adrian Belew (2016), or a 2010's live which Is on YT (in which they perform two of their best songs: Plafone and Essere Donna Oggi, literally "funny" progressive rock).
Popular monster by falling in reverse by far when it comes to comically bad albums. Almost every song makes me laugh due Ronnie's "tough guy" attitude.
I second the motion for including Super Ghostbusters by Vargskelethor in the Funniest Albums That You Know video. It's even more hilarious when you hear the reason this album came to be Vargskelethor as a whole is pretty underrated when it comes to comedy metal, most people only know Joel as a funny game streamer
If you do a followup video, I think these should be included Devin Townsend - Ziltoid the Omniscient Joel - Super Ghostbusters Icy P & the Funky Bunch - Thug Bungalow Vorak - Triumph of the Will (the "tougher than nails" of nsbm) William Shatner - Seeking Major Tom Viper - You'll Cowards Don't Even Smoke Crack T-Dub - In the Club Iced Earth - A Narrative Soundscape Intolitarian - Deathangle Absolution Any six feet under graveyard classics album Even though The Mollusk is a top 10 oat album for me, I think Godweensatan is a funnier album Also many people mentioned Falling in Reverse albums, but Ronnie Radke's solo hip hop EP is arguably even funnier
I think the funniest album that I know, at least personally, is Pink Season by Pink Guy. Yes the humor is kind of childish, but everytime I listen to it I can't help but laugh my ass off with some tracks.
I don't know if it counts, but any of the "Mouth"-mashup albums by Neil Cicierega, or the songs by his band Lemon Demon, oughta count as funny. With such classic songs as Bustin, Wow Wow, The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny, Crocodile Chop and WndrWll, which I could argue are "internet classics," Neil certainly deserves at least a shoutout.
The rucka rucka ali album transported me straight back to elementary school, still some of the funniest shit ive ever heard. I got in so much trouble for buying Go Cops on my moms itunes when i was like 10. Straight into picnic of love makes it so much better lolol
I"m so glad you started with Dare to be Stupid, which as metalhead like yourself, this is literally is the 1st album I've every owned. And it's awesome.
Family Force 5 - Business Up Front/Party in the Back This is a "crunkcore" album from a christian rock band from 2006. It is so comedically awful, I listened to it as a kid for some reason.
Nice one! Some solid choices, especially Ween and Butthole Surfers. Here's my picks (some of them obvious): Faith No More - Angel Dust Mr. Bungle - Mr. Bungle Devin Townsend - Terria Dead Kennedys - Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables Primus - Sailing the Seas of Cheese Wu-Tang Clan - Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) Cardiacs - A Little Man a House and The Whole World Window Big Black - Songs About Fucking Jim O'Rourke - Insignificance Oingo Boingo - On the Outside John Zorn - Naked City XTC - Skylarking The Smiths - The Queen is Dead Melvins - Houdini Nomeansno - Wrong Black Midi - Hellfire
Captain Beefheart's Trout Mask Replica is definitely the funniest album ever, first heard it when I was 12 and I was rolling on the floor laughing. Special mention to "Pena" and "The Blimp", where Jeff Cotton's hysterical falsetto gets me every time.
Nightmares Of The Decomposed is one of the most unintentionally funniest albums I can recommend. Chris Barnes is the biggest punching bag in metal his vocals on Nightmares just make me laugh
X-Cops - You Have the Right to Remain Silent is a brilliant comedy album. It's basically GWAR cosplaying different police officer characters, singing about police corruption and brutality. Songs like "Cavity Search", "Paddy Wagon 🅱️ape", "The Party's Over" about a gay cop who's also a Satanist Aryan Brotherhood member. There's even a cover of Deep Purple's Highway Star with the lyrics tweaked to match the album's concept. Features Casey Orr (Rigor Mortis, TX) on bass and vocals, highly recommended.
Yes. I discovered them from the days when I used to listen to Strapping Young Lad all the time which is no surprise, because there's a lot of overlap between the 2 bands.
There is percussion in impaled northern moonforest, dude is just slapping his knees while sitting down, there’s a picture of it somewhere and it’s fucking hilarious
Macabre - Dahmer. Super fun and catchy telling of Jeffery Dahmers life. Frank Zappa - Joe's Garage and You Are What You is. Frank Zappa at his funniest imo. Gwar has a ton of funny songs across albums, but it is kinda hard to pinpoint a specific album. But I'd say Beyond Hell because of the concept/story of the album.
First one I thought of was Sportlov - Offerblod I Vallabod. It probably only works if you understand Swedish, but it's a hilarious black metal parody album. I also love Gloryhammer - Space 1992: Rise Of The Chaos Wizards. So much fun!
2 albums that come to mind are Six feet under - True carnage and Hulk Hogan and The wrestling boot band - Hulk Rules. They're incredibly bad it's amazing. Edit: i'd throw in Gnarkill's S/T album here aswell. Other than the 2 mentioned above, this one was meant to be a comedy album
Edit: it was indeed a good video. Oh this is gonna be a good video. One of my favorite funny albums is Brontosaurus by DaVincis Notebook. Theyre an acapella group but do use some instrumentation on the album but in the live versions i've heard of songs they do not. Im also surprised you consider Inside better than WordsWordsWords, What or Make Happy. Particularly the album Make Happy I think is better than Inside in terms of musical comedy/quality of comedic content. every song is funny and well written while still having points of feeling personal. Inside felt more like a performance piece with funny stuff in it. I'm also happy to see Rucka Rucka Ali making it on the list. Last thing i thought about: I particularly like Weird Als song Bob because all the lines in the song are palindromes.
Free iPhone 4 giveaway by Big Chef. Its so over the top that it always brings a smile to my face. There's like an hour long into but the rest of the album is comedy gold. Graveyard classics by Six Foot under, that's pretty self explanatory Cuntree by Shat, I have no words for this lmao
“First Come, First Served” by Dr. Dooom (Kool Keith) makes me chuckle almost every time, whether it would be because of the lyrics or the album art. starting an album with “what the fuck was in your mind when you rapped on that track? who possessed you to do that?” is so funny to me.
Colin Langenus - The American Dream: Living with the Rock It feels like someone’s personal compilation of random songs they made that you found at a local salvation army for $2, and the album cover looks just about the same.
You could pick any of the Mouth albums made by Neil Cicieriga as one of the funniest albums since they are all similar to each other. Mouth Dreams although the newest edition to the mouth albums has become one of my favourites of the tetralogy. Songs like Ribs, Fredhammer, Aammoorree and Pee Wee Inc are a few examples of funny mashups on the album that make me smile or just feel good whenever I listen to those songs.
I think there's comedy in this video itself, you being well spoken and knowledgable about the topic while extreme metal is playing in the background, as if it's just some elevator music 😂 (not a hate comment)
I actually saw Spinal Tap live. Also on the bill were Bitch & the Fiends, who had songs like Hugh G Rection, prayer for Satan & die Bob die (about Bob Hope of course). A perfect evening of heavy metal hilarity!
I could put several Ween and The Residents or the Gerogerigegege albums here. Like the insanity of them is beyond hilarious to me but I genuinely like them musically
I Set My Friends On Fire - You Can't Spell Slaughter Without Laughter is such a strange album. It has all the "Scene" shenanigans from similar bands like Horse The Band or Attack Attack share similar aesthetics but I never found those as comedic as ISMFOF. It is essentially crunkcore kids making an almost experimental metalcore album and i just find it hilarious, especially their deathcore cover of "Crank That" by Soulja Boy.
I was actually looking forward to you mentioning INM and was quite happy when you did. 👌🏻 I think Seth was doing some »percussions« by simply slapping his thighs though, wasn’t he?
the album Mani und Seine fruende by Guru Guru is pretty funny to me honestly. chicken rock is about like comparing your soul to chickens when you take LSD but not in like a very serious poetic way, just a very funny and direct way, if that even is what the song is about I could be wrong. and then the like random piano concert bit near the end is just random but it still combines well with the album. and woody woodpeckers dream is well, I wouldn't say very humourous as a song, but it is in concept, like it's a normal average dream song with nature sounds and ambient noise and a speaking section, but it's just funny in concept cause it's woody the woodpecker, guru guru also has a song about Scrooge McDuck in another album. guru guru is a funny band who loves LSD and making good music and funny music as well, also this song isnt on the Mani album but the first song of Globetrotter is funny lyrically too
Infectious Jelqing and Arseny - Slam Shawtys Easily one of the best slam death albums of all time and a breath of fresh air for the otherwise repetitive genre. It's such a stupid and funny album, with the pride of being a stereotypical "wigger", meme samples, and the parts where they throw in whole ass samples of rap songs in between the slam riffs, it ends up being really freaking good and unique.
A Minute Of Silence by Therapists is one of the most crass, messed up and funny albums ive heard in a long time, and the fact that it came out in 2024 is crazy. In the spirit of Rucka Rucka Ali and The Mentors, definitely an album worth checking out.
The Presidents of the United States of America definitely deserves its place in a video like this. A masterpiece of irreverent comedy Also some of The Dead Milkmen is great punk comedy. Specifically Big Lizard In My Backyard And who can forget Three Little Pigs by Green Jelly for something metal-oriented
In terms of funny albums, I would say anything by Cardiacs. Take your pick with discography but I would say Songs for Ships and Irons or A Little Man and a House and Whole World Window.
My personal favorite "funny" albums: Tenacious D - self-titled debut, Schwarzenator - self-titled debut, Sir Millard Mulch - How to Sell the Whole F#@!king Universe to Everybody... Once and for All!, Cardiacs - On Land and in the Sea, Bo Burnham - Inside, Electrocution 250 - Electronic Cartoon Music from Hell, Devin Townsend - Ziltoid the Omniscient, Farmers Market - Musikk fra Hybridene, Frank Zappa - Sheik Yerbouti, Mr. Libido - Sensually Primitive, Organ Freeman - Respect My Art, The President of the United States of America - self-titled debut, Primus - Sailing the Seas of Cheese, Pär Edwardson - Bodybuilding-but with centimetre?, Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal - The Adventures of Bumblefoot, Starship Velociraptor - Galactikraken, Toehider - I LIKE IT.
The Dead Milkmen and The Cramps make me laugh consistently throughout their albums. The Milkmens' comedy is more direct, but when listening to The Cramps even if I get lost in my thoughts there comes some line that makes me realize the wierd and funny shit Lux was howling about. Other than that hungarian funny punk bands like Prosectura or Fürgerókalábak, but it only works if you speak the language. I almost forgot Guttermouth, I listened the shit out of that band when I was 14, which is probably the target demographic.
Off the top of my head I’d say either “Soul Discharge” or “WOW2” by Boredoms. “Scratch or Stitch” by Melt-Banana. “The Happy Electropop Music Machine” by Jean Jacques Perrey. “El Baile Aleman” by Senor Coconut (in which he does 10 Kraftwerk covers mango / calypso style). Last but not least I would consider something by Gerogerigegege. Some of his stuff is so incredibly OTT and bad (in a good way) that can definitely border into “funny” territories.
In Theater by Amateur Transplants is fucking hilarious! It's a live album, and the band were two doctors who both played piano and sang parodies of popular songs; usually relating to medical situations. It's worth checking out if you can find it!
Definitely Frank zappa's Sheik Yerbouti and Joe's garage! He's always been a comedic guy but these 2 take the cake 😂👌 the most obsord stuff and no one is safe!
If you're looking for funny albums, I have a list of albums from an artist and a label: the discography from Bunda and the With God compilation series from Interval Audio. Both are the dubstep genre, which might not be a genre that you or anyone else here would like, but it might be a good chance to broaden your horizons. But both of these are some of the most ridiculous and absurd songs I've ever listened to and I've bust my gut laughing multiple times while listening. They are available on SoundCloud if that might seem of interest to you.
Dare to be Stupid is a classic if not just because of the title track alone. So bad it's funny, Ripper ... And The Dead Shall Rise. The first time I heard Dayglo Abortion's Feed Us a Fetus I laughed so hard it hurt. Stupid Songs and Acting Like Black Sabbath still crack me up. Professor Elemental's The Indifference Engine deserves mention. So I did. Then there is the Beastie Boys mystery Country Mike's Greatest Hits. And I can't believe you didn't mention Jon Wayne's Texas Funeral. Butthole Surfers are in my top 3 favorite bands ever. Pencil Neck Geek. There, I said it. Now I'm going to check out Rucka Rucka Ali because somehow I never knew about this.
I’d argue for Murder Ballads by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. It has such a sardonic tone to it. The lyrics are all individual stories with characters coming to a gruesome end. Some songs are more serious but I think a lot of the singing has a lot of sarcasm to it.
Definitely recommend l'academie du massacre and musique barbare by mononc serge & anonymus, almost entirely in french but my god is it hilarious even if you don't know what they're saying just because of mononc serge's voice
there's this album "WHATCHA GONNA DO, DREAM CATALOGUE?" by HVLK HOGAN, which is just Hulk Hogan dissing the whole label with black metal playing in the background, it goes on for like 40 minutes
GOVNILIUM from Russia. The guy writes music that puts Viking Bathory on a strecher, but the lyrics are all about toilet themes. There are two tracks I translated to English on my channel, I implore you to check it out. When I discovered this project, I stayed up for an hour and a half past my bedtime relistening to the album and laughing my socks off.
that last weird morbid angel album with dave vincent is the only time when listening to an album of music has made me belly laugh out loud, does that count under this criteria lol
Don't be fooled by Picnic of Love's satirical appearance, it's literally one of the most offensive and disgusting albums AxCx has ever released (and that's saying a lot) and I love it. As I once read, "quite possibly the best executed joke in the history of music".
The part on Picnic of Love where Seth goes “I was telling you about pansies and roses… BUT YOU TRIED TO GRAB MY ASSSS” never fails to make me laugh.
It's "Hand" but agreed, it's fucking hilarious
Dee Dee Ranone's out of touch, and serious rap album "Standing in the spot light" is a fever dream and a half. The fact it came out the same year as straight outta Compton just makes it better

Broo gotta be the beers talking but the thumbnail made me think you cut your hair and I was genuinely upset.
I love beer
Family Force 5 - Business Up Front/Party in the Back
This is a "crunkcore" album from a christian rock band from 2006. It is so comedically awful, I listened to it as a kid for some reason.
Love Addict goes hard though not gonna lie
Yes! FF5 is awesome.....and stupid.
TISM from Melbourne were pretty funny. Great Truckin' Songs of the Renaissance (1988) was a local classic.
Gotta check Digbargayraps the Album by DigBar
Sinister Slaughter and Gloom by Macabre have brilliant dark humor.
Basically anything from Vargskelethor (Joel).
Super Ghostbusters and Sex In Minecraft are definitely the biggest highlights.
Semargl - Love is quite funny when you think of their first albums lol. Also music video for Discolove is hilarious
Nice one! Some solid choices, especially Ween and Butthole Surfers. Here's my picks (some of them obvious):
Faith No More - Angel Dust
Mr. Bungle - Mr. Bungle
Devin Townsend - Terria
Dead Kennedys - Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables
Primus - Sailing the Seas of Cheese
Wu-Tang Clan - Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
Cardiacs - A Little Man a House and The Whole World Window
Big Black - Songs About Fucking
Jim O'Rourke - Insignificance
Oingo Boingo - On the Outside
John Zorn - Naked City
XTC - Skylarking
The Smiths - The Queen is Dead
Melvins - Houdini
Nomeansno - Wrong
Black Midi - Hellfire
Hol' up, why Terria? Isn't that one of his more serious albums?
Captain Beefheart's Trout Mask Replica is definitely the funniest album ever, first heard it when I was 12 and I was rolling on the floor laughing. Special mention to "Pena" and "The Blimp", where Jeff Cotton's hysterical falsetto gets me every time.
Nightmares Of The Decomposed is one of the most unintentionally funniest albums I can recommend. Chris Barnes is the biggest punching bag in metal his vocals on Nightmares just make me laugh
7000 dying rats - everything
Sloth - everything
Schnauzer - everything
X-Cops - You Have the Right to Remain Silent is a brilliant comedy album. It's basically GWAR cosplaying different police officer characters, singing about police corruption and brutality. Songs like "Cavity Search", "Paddy Wagon 🅱️ape", "The Party's Over" about a gay cop who's also a Satanist Aryan Brotherhood member. There's even a cover of Deep Purple's Highway Star with the lyrics tweaked to match the album's concept.
Features Casey Orr (Rigor Mortis, TX) on bass and vocals, highly recommended.
Zimmers Hole "Bound by Fire" is pretty hilarious, helped by the intros, but musically it's funny too.
Yes. I discovered them from the days when I used to listen to Strapping Young Lad all the time which is no surprise, because there's a lot of overlap between the 2 bands.
@@BigChimpEnergy same. I was at an SYL/Ocean Machine gig and they played ZH on the PA
There is percussion in impaled northern moonforest, dude is just slapping his knees while sitting down, there’s a picture of it somewhere and it’s fucking hilarious
A couple of old favourites I've been listening to a lot lately:
Rancid Hell Spawn "Jumping Jack Flesh" and Rektüm "Sakred Anus".
Tenacious d self titled ablum
The absence of Happy Flowers is unfortunate, but the absence of "It's Only Right and Natural" by the Frogs is borderline criminal.
Happy Flowers ruled. Rip of their reunion show DVD on my channel.
Great picks!
I suggest Destroyed by Sloppy Seconds
Pink guy’s “Pink Season”. Needs no explanation on why lol
True, was going to comment that but I changed my answer.
I honestly think it would be cool if you talked about your favorite and/or least favorite album covers
What about Turtleneck And Chain by The Lonely Island?
Great list!Actually the percussive noises on Impaled northern moonforrest are in fact Seth blasting with his hands on his thighs, hillarious!
First one I thought of was Sportlov - Offerblod I Vallabod. It probably only works if you understand Swedish, but it's a hilarious black metal parody album.
I also love Gloryhammer - Space 1992: Rise Of The Chaos Wizards. So much fun!
Beelzebubba by The Dead Milkmen
Not a happy album but have you heard nespithe - demilich?
It always be peak tech death in my mind, the echo (replacement) is such an excellent song
Free iPhone 4 giveaway by Big Chef. Its so over the top that it always brings a smile to my face. There's like an hour long into but the rest of the album is comedy gold.
Graveyard classics by Six Foot under, that's pretty self explanatory
Cuntree by Shat, I have no words for this lmao
“First Come, First Served” by Dr. Dooom (Kool Keith) makes me chuckle almost every time, whether it would be because of the lyrics or the album art. starting an album with “what the fuck was in your mind when you rapped on that track? who possessed you to do that?” is so funny to me.
Colin Langenus - The American Dream: Living with the Rock
It feels like someone’s personal compilation of random songs they made that you found at a local salvation army for $2, and the album cover looks just about the same.
Pink season would be my pick.i remember obsessing over it with my friends back in highschool
The unseen war - break the sword
no Lil B? we need to talk about Lil B's six kiss, phenomenal work
Bitch Mob tha Album is my favorite so bad it’s good album ever. It’s incredibly hard to make an album that shit.
70's Thai Funk can be incredibly funny in the vocal department especially Thai men doing their best James Brown impression.
I’ll add to my previous suggestions, Lugubrum - Bruyne Kroon as the first example of brown scatologic metal
Frank Zappa and the mothers of invention - billy the mountain.
A 25 minute song about a mountain causing destruction.
dude that tougher than nails actually slaps. the berzerker meets portal
Wyatt singing was not something I expected.
Great idea for a video.
Cows - Effete and Impudent Snobs.
Any other takers?
Or any Cheech and Chong... I dunno.
the album Mani und Seine fruende by Guru Guru is pretty funny to me honestly. chicken rock is about like comparing your soul to chickens when you take LSD but not in like a very serious poetic way, just a very funny and direct way, if that even is what the song is about I could be wrong. and then the like random piano concert bit near the end is just random but it still combines well with the album. and woody woodpeckers dream is well, I wouldn't say very humourous as a song, but it is in concept, like it's a normal average dream song with nature sounds and ambient noise and a speaking section, but it's just funny in concept cause it's woody the woodpecker, guru guru also has a song about Scrooge McDuck in another album. guru guru is a funny band who loves LSD and making good music and funny music as well, also this song isnt on the Mani album but the first song of Globetrotter is funny lyrically too
The self titled Tenacious D album with the song Fuck Her Gently is my funniest album and song.
Infectious Jelqing and Arseny - Slam Shawtys
Easily one of the best slam death albums of all time and a breath of fresh air for the otherwise repetitive genre.
A masterpiece of irreverent comedy
Also some of The Dead Milkmen is great punk comedy. Specifically Big Lizard In My Backyard
And who can forget Three Little Pigs by Green Jelly for something metal-oriented
Green Jelly is... a band
Wild Man Fischer - An Evening with Wild Man Fischer
Grant McDonald is beautiful
He also thought his nephew was beautiful enough to pimp out
The Dead Milkmen and The Cramps make me laugh consistently throughout their albums.
Weird al self titled album. And even worse are pretty damn funny and spinal tap soundtrack..... cups and cakes makes me chuckle
Gotta show my love to Mindless Self indulgence with their Frankenstein Girls Will seem strangely sexy. So over the top you just gotta love it
Off the top of my head I’d say either “Soul Discharge” or “WOW2” by Boredoms.
Big Lizard In My Backyard by the Dead Milkmen, some good laughs.
The funniest album that I know would probably be Pink Season by Pink Guy
Great pix, I'd add GG allin, one of my fav bands, and the mentors/ el duse, always funny
Any chance for Zappa, Wild Man Fischer, Flo and Eddie for part 2?
I think Negativland deserves a mention! They are a plunderphonics band. I really like their true/false album, I found it darkly amusing.
