Portuguese players lose it nearing the end of a Round of 16 loss to Chile at the U-20 World Cup. At one point a player steals the referees red card, only to get shown it himself seconds later.
I love the commentators laughter when they show the replay. Very contagious :))) It's funny when you see 2 of chiles players walking really close to the guy lying down, almost stepping on him...just enough to avoid a card, but to provoke the opponent to do something worse in return. And then remain calm. Perfect provokers! :)
Can't believe the side judge didn't see any of the incidents before the push. Fair Reds but its one of the things I find most frustrating about the sport is how the guys basically roughed up a guy with 3 players then flopped hard after a shove and the side ref managed to miss it all. Especially after signaling for the original foul.
@DJBillHype ok i'm getting a little annoyed. so just tell me, how do you see pushing another player in the face as defensive? especially when the ball isnt in play.
@bunkbail His name Subkhiddin Mohd Salleh...He is the only referee in Malaysia to be a AFC Elite Referee...he was the first referee in the country to be selected to represent WC 2010...unfortunately during WC 2010 he was assigned as the fourth referee for the first game between RSA and MEX....he supposedly assigned as the first ref if i'm not mistaken, but who care...Malaysian referee now has been recognized...hehe
Excellent officiating! The truth is he should have thrown out 5 players. Those two, the two that made physical contact and one other. Disgraceful! Players acting like animals.
Go Zequinha! He´s just a kid and he knows that now his team will have to play without two players. Guys, you have to be cold as stone and play with your head and not with your heart!
11 and 19 should have been sent off too for man-handling the referee before he could ever show the card. Do these guys not learn when they're 10 that you never put your hands on a referee?
Proper behavior by these players, I don't condone the conduct against the other team, however stealing the ref card is something that needs to be done. These arrogant referees need to be taught a lesson.
Player: Give Me That Red Card Referee: *Red Card* Player. You Dumb Ass Referee Player From Behind: *Snatches The Red Card. Referee: Give Me My Damn Red Card! . Bye!!! Player: *Cries*
i guess he thought if he would take the card away, he wont issue it to him. the cards are a formality, a ref can send you off without them. they are just a way of notifying a caution or sendoff without using language. Here we have a perfect example: Portuguese, Spanish, and the ref is Malaysian.
Haha I thought that was Ronaldo at first who stole the red card.
i would have wished it was him
BlackLight awwwww to bad it wasn't him you messhit fans

notice how out of all those players we just saw, fabio coentrao was the only one who made it to the big time.
I like it how he acts all hard... Then brakes down into tears
You're a snowflake
Fabio Coentrão was laughing in 1:43
Best thing on the video
I love how Coentrao cracks up when the card is snatched
concentrao
hahahaa it's so hilarious how the ref is holding onto the red card really tightly just incase anyone else tries to take it again
0:27 I like the way the referee hides that card behind him so that they don't snatch it again.
"He's in tears, for snatching the referee's card". Says all you need to know about that madness!!
0:56 i like how he puts his hands up like "what did i do?"
Loool he actually took the refs card haha what a bloody muppet
"So what'd you get sent off for? Arguing with the refs?" "Yeah, something like that."
He should have sent off Coentrao too for grabbing his arm while trying to red card the other guy
"Oh, you don't do that"......duh!
Lol
That video encapsulates the sport of soccer so well... I'll never get tired of watching it.
Congrats man that was genius... He must b crying from laughter, he can't be sad about that!!!!
This is fucking hilarious!!! lololol
Whining baby. Lol. Well deserved red card.
I guess he cried out of surprise because he always got away disrespecting his parents.

Watching and Commenting🙍 after 16 years 😂😂
:( the player didnt red card the ref
Hahaha it would be awesome if he did that
No. Kinda surprised he didn’t have the giblets.
@DJBillHype ok i'm getting a little annoyed. so just tell me, how do you see pushing another player in the face as defensive? especially when the ball isnt in play.
damn that no 9 wants the red card so badly that he cried!! XD
Are u alive bro, just checking
Absolutely embarassing to lose control like that.
1:32 Coentrao is absolute a legend!
rofl
"oh shit, red card for me too?" cryyyy
love the crowd as the players go off !!!!!
That is pretty embarrassing for the Portuguese fa. To have a whole team behaving like that is disgusting.
That laugh from the commentator at the end, he sounds like my dad 😂😂
Pure Portuguese and proud!!! :D
Referee displayed admirable sang-froid during the incident
what a real man. first steal the referee the red card and than he starts to CRY?! wtf ?!
Respect is the best word. Then you will become the best stars to respect.
thats what you call real mates :) backing each other up regardless of the red card lol
that ref is from Malaysia..and I'm proud of him...great subkhidin
Cries like ronaldo
chile u-20 team came to my town and played once against clemson. they are awesome
I was at that game! Edmonton Alberta, Canada.
the coach looks like he's having fun
lol i was thinking that too.
Would be cool to watch one of these youth teams now knowing one of those players could be a star.
where can i find the rest of this game?
This. Made. My. Day.
Thats true brotherhood
those mathematical skills.. amazing...

@aneeko is wayne rooney black?
@JorgeCosta14 I want you to read what you wrote and try your hardest to think; how does that make sense?
cikgu sub hebat ! respect from ultras malaya.
respect never seen that in my life
Good times, I was at this game. Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Canada
lol at the commentator in the replay of the red card incident
Chile's goalie did an awesome job of getting his players away from the ref.
I agree man, cant believe chile guy didnt get booked at the minimum
THAT GUY HAS GOT SOME GUTS!!!
I like how Coentrao laughs at 1:33 when the player takes the refs card. LMFAO
Imagine if he didn't give the card back to the referee, he wouldn't have been shown the red card
refs have always another pair of cards in one of their pocket
thats a BIG football arena
dumb question but who won the game in the end?
I remember watching this, but I thought Coentrao was the one being sent off.
It all starts with Fabio Coentrao
and they say it's just a game!
Smart goalkeeper bring the chili players away avoiding any cards for chili
the referee looked like a barbarian
Cuz he loves the game...
@unseensword no this is the U-20 Portugal team, C.Ronaldo is in the "normal" Portugal team
@IAmMichaelMyers
Rolando's couson?
It's great to see that the coaches had to restrain the white guy and not the black one. This world really is progressing.
dive of the century by that chilean
Tears looked the same
LIKE A BOSS!!!!!!!!!!
Best part of red cards: being sent olf.
Lol, the regs vace in slow motion was like wtf did he just do
oh man, thats a reff from malaysia. better not mess with him. he`s cool on pitch, badass in real life.
@Vanessax0x27 On the other side though, Sanchez is in Barcelona, Vidal on Juventus, Medel on Sevilla, Isla on Udinese...
you don't ever aggressively touch the ref, ever.
The ref just couldn't handel this match
Funny how Coentrao hasn't changed the slights in almost 7 years...
Coentrao! Definitely the most good-looking in the world!
he should have ran away with the red card so that the referee couldn't send him off
what was the score like @ the end of the match O.o .
great performance from the refree... 5STAR!!! YEAHH!!
in the beggining, the guy in the red shirt grabbed the guy and pulled him down
I saw this match live, it was hillarious.
My theory is that he cries for being stupid "WHYYYY AM I STUPIIID ;___;"
Woah, it's Coentrao before he played for Real Madrid.
11 and 19 should have been sent off too for man-handling the referee before he could ever show the card. Do these guys not learn when they're 10 that you never put your hands on a referee?
0:01
The Portuguese dude on the ground got kicked in the face before his teammate came in lol
who won this game in the end?
were with you Portugal!!!
we all know you are WAAAY better than chile in every single way
yeah it was his debut, + he never got any playing time actually i feel pretty sad for him...
Proper behavior by these players, I don't condone the conduct against the other team, however stealing the ref card is something that needs to be done. These arrogant referees need to be taught a lesson.
Likelihood that these players will ever get the chance to move on from this?
The player is a fucking dope, what did he expect?
@litosiki
Like a bajillion other things. The awesomeness is beyond belief.
That would be an instant red card
Player: Give Me That Red Card
Referee: *Red Card*
Player. You Dumb Ass Referee
Player From Behind: *Snatches The Red Card.
Referee: Give Me My Damn Red Card! . Bye!!!
Player: *Cries*
LOL this guy must have been watching the movie 'Shaolin Soccer' before the game
@krtma18 No , he is now 22 years old in 2007 he was 19 years old
