Right now I’m actually feeling like Bill Muray’s character here. My life isn’t going according to plan and I’m thinking that the army could be a way out.
0:27 Now this right here was a classic moment. Too bad this movie was too good to be true & didn’t even receive any nominations. 1:36 Here’s a replay button. You’re welcome. 3:22 This moment was so beautifully sad yet hopeful & then Mr. Murray here just had to ruin it. If only they didn’t take the Animal House + Meatballs route.
Notice how many times the money changes on Bill Murray's chest. Continuity was clearly a priority when they made this movie. Still it's just a funny as when I saw it when it debuted in 1981.
That personally Bill Murray has from this movie reminds me how I first met him I feel like the first time I've met him in Osmosis Jones and couple years later Ghostbusters
0:55 He mentioned quitting his job, we saw his car get repossessed and we saw his girlfriend walk out on him. How could he lose his apartment when the eviction notice wasn’t mentioned?
1:22 🏀🪟 😂😂😂😂 I lost it the first time i seen this scene!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 2:19 I lost my job 🚕 My apartment 🏢 My car🚗 and my girlfriend👱♀️ Don't forget all of that plus his pizza got ruined 🍕🍕🍕🍕 His best friend would've drank his last beer 🍺 entirely if he wouldn't have offered to split it with him 🍻🍻 The second apartment window gets smashed out but accidentally 🪟🪟 The only good thing That came out of that was him doing 5 pushups and winning a few 💸 💸 And being convinced to enlist in the Army!! 🇺🇲🪖🪖🇺🇲
Ramis had the 70's look, glasses, afro, and clothing goibg perfectly. He was 37 here and of the previous generation before Bill's. R.I.P.
Stunner, man. Stunner! ❤🔥
Egon had no intention on splitting that beer.
😅😅
For the first time in my life I did 20 pushups. I immediately has to watch this scene 😂
I can’t believe Bill Murray was only 30 here
Yep he was. Harold Ramis was older than him at 36! This was by his own admission 😂 today not uncommon but for the 1980’s yeah…
@@timothyq.5070 then 3 years later they were in the greatest cinematic comedy/SCI-fi entertainment movie of that era, “Ghostbusters!”
Back in those days young people looks 2x times older than their actual age.
@@quietday9991 Drinking, Smoking and Drug use was way more common back then.
City miles
The fact that harold was 36 but he looked younger
He was 37?! He looks much younger in Ghostbusters 2
As for Harold Ramis this is the second movie I've watched him as not a Ghostbusters that's how I met him love that guy
Lucky man!
The cracking noises his knees make sound very familiar.
This movie help me to lighten up! Thank you Sgt. Hulka!
Francis?
"So much for the monastery!"
Those commercials were great…that’s what got me to enlist

I admire Bill Murray's ball throwing skills as well as the person who threw it back in 😁

CLASSIC SCENE THANKS FOR POSTING
Not Marine Push Ups. LOL (smile) Semper-Fi.
Even though he couldn't do Marine Corps push-ups for Chesty Puller, Uncle Sam is still proud of him for being able to to 5 standard push-ups
I remember doing pushups for pretty much the first time after I enlisted. I still don't like doing them.
He's gonna be a lean mean fightin machine.
Ghostbustin machine

Seeing Harold Ramis without his Egon Nerd-Pompadour hairdo makes me conflicted.
My husband said he looked like...HOWARD STERN!

He mentioned quitting his job, we saw his car get repossessed and we saw his girlfriend walk out on him.
How could he lose his apartment when the eviction notice wasn’t mentioned?
His girlfriend probably was the main person on the lease and since she left and he had no money he lost it.

How did he lose his apartment?
Couldn't pay his rent.
He looks 54 years old and hes in his 20s?
I'm 15 and look 60. We're all different.

I lived hard in my 20’s but god damn I didn’t look like Bill. Those dudes burned the candle at both ends, and in the middle.
