What a project!! That is a lot of work and its one of those jobs that take forever but don't look like you did much when done. You know just filled the cracks ; ) That bottom layer looks like linoleum in my Grandma's house that looked old in the mid 1950's. Mostly people could afford to buy fancy stuff like linoleum in the early 30's and I don't think it was available in the WWII years. She also had a kitchen counter that was gray linoleum with multicolor dots with silver trim around the edge.
I was a painter for many many years there's a process that you have to go through when chipping paint on a lead painted house don't let the city see you doing it they will penalize you very hard.
Now I want a house like this. 100+ years old is amazing
