    Concerning the military tech we have in the US, there’s a saying I’ve heard: “If we’re showing it to the world, it’s already obsolete.”

    • @plazmaflare5199
      @plazmaflare5199 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      There was also something along the lines of saying that something is a UFO by aliens, it's usually and more than likely a classified aircraft the US has.

    • @joegonzalez6241

      I've also heard that. Not sure if he was just messing with me, but 15 or so years ago, a cousin of mine who worked for NASA (and by extension Lockheed-Martin) basically told me nukes were primitive caveman weapons compared to some of the classified stuff he'd seen. He went on to say the military never shows off it's new toys, and if your seeing something, it's because they want you to.

      Only when the CCP falls we'll see the collapse of the kim dynasty, the only evil there are the ones in power and the first generation that knew of life before north korea yet chose to be silent and fall in line like sheep. With so much time passed they've managed to control thought as they do not know the word freedom. We'll most likely never see a united Korea in our life time even when the north koreans are free as the south koreans are racist towards them. But I do believe we'll see them be free soon within I'd say 30 years since communism has never lasted more than a 100 years in one nation. All it takes is one generation to lose all their freedoms willingly and three generations to solidify an orwellian society.

    Its not mentioned that often but before we dropped the atomic bombs, like days before, we dropped leaflets saying that we were gonna destroy the city and that you should leave with food and water. This warning was dropped on 5 different cities before the 2 atomic bombs were dropped. However the Japanese military made it a point that anybody that read those would be shot. Something else that also isn't mentioned a lot is that the Japanese military was so weakened by the US Military prior that when the United States dropped the bombs, the bombers went without escorts. For there was no threat of retaliation. That's kinda where Godzilla came from. A force so powerful, so strong, that even the Japanese military couldn't prevent the destruction of entire Japanese cities.

    • @need4sddhyt

      Not discrediting you, and its absolutely true that the americans dropped leaflets and citizens were forbiden from reading them, to prevent hightened security around hiroshima and nagasaki, the leaflets mentioned close to 20 different major cities.

    • @redrick8900
      @redrick8900 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      That isn't true. The Bombers didn't have escorts because they weren't bombing from a normal bombing range. The Enola Gay Flew about 10,000 feet above where Japanese fighter's reliably functioned and it was dressed to look like an observation plane. If they flew it with an escort it would have to be lower and invite conflict, rather than looking like a harmless out of range observation plane.
      The Japanese were still fully capable of shooting down bombers.

    You should have them react to our botched withdrawal from Afghanistan. There are all these videos about how powerful we are "which is true and it would be next to impossible to invade us" but when we are outside of our country we tend to lose now more often than not. Example is the middle east and now afghanistan but i guess a good moral of this story is dont try to save countries that dont want it. I went to military shows a few times when I was a kid living near Aberdeen, Md and saw some amazing things. More recently there was a crash of a stealth fighter at an airshow at Martin Marietta about 30 yrs ago demonstrating their so called latest tech and after a few weeks of FAA investigation it was declared as fatigue failure because that particular plane had been in service since Vietnam. So much for being latest tech, Vietnam ended 25 yrs before the airshow. In the beginning of the video they should have listed the fire rate in rounds per minute to see their reaction. I remember as a kid seeing a civil war era gatling gun verses a 70's version. Civil war gun filled a shed on a trailer full of holes after 5 minutes, the modern one turned the shed into saw dust in less than a minute.

    • @Barefoot433
      @Barefoot433 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Your latter comment is on point, definitely. Your former comment is irrelevant, we do not use old aircraft at airshows to demonstrate our capability. we use them to demonstrate historical advantage. New craft exist, and they do not, or very rarely, fail at an airshow. More like almost never. Fatigue would not be an issue in such a modern demonstration.

You can take out a radar worth millions of dollars with 1 Excalibur artillery shell ($100,000) or you could send hundreds if not thousands of dumb artillery shells ($2,000-$3,000) a piece. And then half the time they didn’t even hit their intended target and burned up artillery gun barrels in the process. Work smarter not harder.

Some see American efforts to reduce casualties as a weakness, but this shows it's really a strength.
