- The Dreame D10s Plus is very similar to the Z10 Pro I reviewed all the way back in 2021. Dreame made several changes to improve the robot over the older model, but they also snuck in a few downgrades which I highlight in the video.

I thank you for your support!
Excellent review, thanks! I have the Z10 Pro, so was quite intrigued.
The improved obstacle avoid is a big deal for me, but very surprised by the lack of side wall detectors and that is close to a deal breaker for me.
Intrigued by the rubber brush on the Z10 Pro, but not sure if I would want to file down the interior hair scrapers.
Do you think the Docks can be swapped between models? If I could get the D10s without dock, that would be a cheap upgrade.
I know the robots are paired with the dock because I tried to use my Z10 Pro on the D10s dock and it would not auto empty. The D10s is also only sold with a dock.
Great vid! Does the D10s pro also have the camera and remote control capabilities?
Yes and a better mop too!
Hi Jamie, thanks for the comparison. Do you think the new D10s plus is better than the old Z10 pro? I should choose one of these and I wonder about the lack of a sensor on that side, should I choose the older model? Regards from a very snowy Finland.
I would go with the newer model as it performs better on hard floor surfaces.
You can turn off the camera announcements in the app.
First thing i figured out on the L20u.
Great review! Have you tried the voice commands? Can you ask it to clean a specific room per google or alexa?
Yes and it works pretty well, but it is limited too.
Nice. All i want is to come back from work and ask it to do just the kitchen where all the cat litter is spread. Its a pitty that it doesnt have carpet recognition and wall sensors. Do you know any other devices on that price range that include also these features?
@@SoundPrecision That is the exact thing I use voice commands for.
Nothing really in this price range without putting out more money.
Thank you for the **excellent** comparison, it's rare to find a video that goes this deep! Just a quick question, if you still have both models: can you try to place the main brush *and* brush cover of the D10s Plus onto the Z10 Pro and see if they fit perfectly? Thanks a lot!
Edit: to be clear, I see in the video you swap the brushes only, but what if you also swap the brush covers? Does the D10s Pro one fit on the Z10 Pro? (So that you don't have to "mod" the original brush cover of Z10 Pro and can just use the D10s Plus one - except obviously removing the "fins" inside the brush assembly that are no longer present in D10s Plus)
Same question also for the water tank: I see the two mop pads attach to the water tank in different ways, but can the water tanks be swapped?
Thank you very much!
Thanks for the compliment. When I tested the Z10 Pro I used the cover from the D10s or those metal bars would cut into the rubber brush roller. It produced a weird noise and that is when I figured out about those plastic fins. I could not find a cover for sale for the D10s on Amazon, but if one pops up you can just buy that or clip those metal bars.
As for the water tank yes you should be able to swap them, but I am not sure I would. I almost talked about the new way the pad attaches, but left it out of the video since I already bashed the design enough. It is different and might actually be worse than the slide on design of the Z10 Pro. Some might find it better, but it is not imo. Equal or maybe worse.

Is the D10S the new bot that you wrote in May or June that Dreametech was supposed to make available soon ? Or is there a new bot better that the L10S Ultra that is supposed to get out during the summer ?
There is a better bot coming soon. The D10s was not it.
@@jamie.andrews thank you. I really hope it will be soon and better than the L10S ultra…
I have the L10 pro and I like it but I am considering the eufy X9 pro its obsticle avoidence and mopping look very good from what I have seen.
Hearing good things about Ecovacs T20 recently! It would be great if you do a review, or better yet, a comparison with recent Roborocks (S7, S8, Q Revo) of it!
I am testing the T20 right now and will have the full review out in August. Thanks for the suggestion.
How's the object avoidance in the dark, since it's camera based? My Z10 Pro broke unfortunately.
Not perfect in dark.
How does the D10 Plus do better with mopping over the D10s Plus when they are using the same mopping system?
They are roughly the same as they have the exact same setup for mopping. I did a review on the D10 Plus here th-cam.com/video/1pyEayYj4QE/w-d-xo.html
The D10s Pro will do better, but it sacrafices the auto empty dock.
@@jamie.andrews Yep and that’s why I’m confused lol. The review showed the D10 Plus removing the stain on your floor after 2 sessions meanwhile the Z10 Pro and D10s Plus struggles. But they all use the same mopping system. Why is that?
Ahh OK I see. The D10 appears to have a much tighter mopping pattern with deep mopping as it makes more passes over the stains than the D10s Plus. I don't really know why either. The mop pad and water tank size are the same which are the real issue with it not being such a good mop.
@@jamie.andrews Interesting, just to clarify, do you dampen the mop pads before use? Thanks for the info!
Yes unless the dock does it for me.
Great comparison. How come the d10s plus is not listed on dreame tech website?
It is

@@jamie.andrewsThat’s not the D10s Plus.
@Davis_Schwartz it's not on US website
@@alexleon8406 it's under their Prime Day tab
Are you going to review eufy x9 pro?
I likely will, but it will be a bit since I have a bunch of content already lined up atm.
Hello, can you help me please? I have a dreame l10 pro and can I install the new generation d10s plus brush into the l10 pro?
I don't know what the brush roller looks like in the L10 pro as I don't have one. If it looks like the one in the Z10 Pro you can follow my advice in this video to swap it out.
I'm been looking for a robot vacuum. That has a dust bag with Self-Emptying. That is also LESS than 2.90" high. So I can have it go under living room furniture. I also would like to have the technology that it will recognize little things on the floor. Like cords, pet poop, ect. As far as suction goes. At least 4,000 PA. Im just guessing on the 4,000 PA. I need it to have a good suction.
What would be a good PA suction?
Is there any robot vacuum that has all those features?
I have 3" of space underneath my couch.
Thank you for any advice you can give me.
I don't chart robot's height measurements so you will have to look at the manufacturer's specs for those, but most are listed right on their website.
Most all mid tier to top tier robot have 4000pa of suction today.
One thing left out of you question is your budget. Robots with auto empty bins range from about $400 to over $1000.
You also did not mention mopping, which the feature alone sets many robots apart. Do you have needs or wants?
Thanks for replying. Mopping is not a necessity. My price range would be $500 or less. When I find a vacuum less than three inches high. It doesn't come with a self emptying bin. I see some vacuums have 2700PA and as much as 5000PA.
Most important is that it can go under the couch. And that it doesn't run over cords or pet poop. That it has a very good suction.
I also have very bad allergies. That why it has to have a bag. When you empty a bagless vacuum. Dust goes everywhere. And I end up breathing it in. I would even go without the self emptying. As long as I could put a sandwich baggie or something inside the dust bin to contain the dust.
Thanks again for responding.
@@A1A1591 You may want to look at Yeedi. They don't have top mounted lidar so they can go under couches.

I have just bought the d10s plus but it does not have a camera but i Also live in Sweden ? Side note i am super happy with it it works like a charm
All D10s Plus models have a front facing camera on them. Here is a link to the product on their global website. global.dreametech.com/products/dreamebot-d10s-plus
Are you using the Dreame Home App?
How about dreame d10s pro. Does it have better obstacle avoidance? Is it simular to L10 pro?
th-cam.com/video/WIK9uMXuo2s/w-d-xo.html
@@jamie.andrews so z10 pro is the same as d10 pro? Any difference than label?
Is this d10s plus better or old model d10 ultra ? As I have this 2 in my budget
D10s ultra is out of budget
I am not familiar with the D10 Ultra.
Sorry I mean L10 ultra
Between L10 ultra and D10s plus i wanted to know
@@AnishShanbhag The L10 is better due to having a dock that can wash the mopping pads.
I have suspicion that Roborock is discontinuing the S7 MaxV Ultra and replacing it with the S7 Max Ultra with the inferior Obstacle Avoidance.
Man I sure hope not. As you can see in this video the old Z10 Pro does better than the S7 Max. Sad.
@@jamie.andrews yeah :( I thought Roborock was good at making decisions but clearly not. Hopefully they make a comeback
The privacy concern is real with the microphone and camera! I don’t want the Chinese gov to monitor my home 24/7
D10s plus for $424 vs Q Revo for $649- $3600 SQ ft home with wood and carpet. Which one is better?
The Q Revo has a way better mop system that is also self washing and self drying. It also has the ability to refill the on board water tank. The only thing better on the D10s Plus is the object avoidance system and it has a slightly bigger bag in the dock. So it comes down to your needs and wants with these main differences and weigh in the price. Hope that helps some.
