- I actually picked this generator up today, 31 Aug. 2024. (P.E.) = Power Equipment. Production of these little generators began in March of 1943. All of the "early" gens. have cast iron cooling systems. "Later" models were built with sheet metal cooling shrouds to cut weight and save on War Materials.
I will be able to find the exact month of manufacture for this unit when I pull the flywheel to service the points.
Score!
Outstanding N.O.S. tools and parts!
Survivor genny. Jonesy. It belonged to the young mans granddad and just needed it gone. It has been in storage for a long, long time. Great compression, NO SPARK THOUGH.
That looks like a really good find.
Thanks. I have a soft spot in my heart for military air compressors and generators.
Mmmmm...
I can smell that air cleaner oil from here!
Tasty!
Colonge for REAL MEN, like US!!
Nice find Dave! 👀 Even have the original wrenches! 🔧
Thanks Zane. I had a few more videos on my SD card, but the became corrupted and just went away. I'll have to remake them and get them on line.
You were in my neighborhood and did not stop by?
Time is running out to get out to the Chicken Ranch to go scrounging!
First, I didn't know that you were in that area. Second it's not far for a return trip. Third, find my email address on my home page here and drop me a line how to get in touch with you Mister. LASTLY, I'm sorry my friend for NOT stopping by. 🙂
