      @@nick1500 does it look like the paint on this Miata at 10:54 ? God damn that's a lot of orange peel. I don't know if you priced it out yet but these top tier detail guys cost a ton of money. There's a reason our boy here drives a Lamborghini and has a Porsche track car

    • @Laz_Arus
      @Laz_Arus ปีที่แล้ว

      @@easley421 A little late to answer this, but that texture on the lower sections of the sides below the crease line is how they came from the factory. It was intentional. I believe the thoughts were that because the car was so low, the areas down there would be subjected to road debris and would be harder to maintain a mirror shine, so to circumvent that to some degree, they made it wrinkly. I haven't measured the paint thickness in those areas on mine. Perhaps I should just to appease my curiosity.

    I get that the owner/family wanted to be meticulous about it and that’s awesome, but why the insistence that the top never come down? That’s exactly what it was designed to do and it’s not going to do any damage or devalue it at all. Heck, as part of the inspection process at the factory they probably put the top through the full range of motion anyway.
    I would think irreversibly removing some paint through a correction would be a bigger deal to them than putting the top down and back up which is something nobody could ever notice.

    Larry, great job on the Mazda, your attention to detail is above par. Just amazing how you do that voodoo that you do so well! I learn a lot from your channel. I will say this I purchased your Tire cleaning set and its the bomb! The tire wash, Purple Plum and Tire Mud is awesome, and unlike other products lasts. Keep up the great job!

    Oh how I want this Miata. You won't go fast at all, but man will you love those turns. I've only had experience with the NA and since I grew up always seeing these as a kid, it's so good to see it the condition I remember them.

    Larry - another great video of a great little car, thank you. I recall you've had some back trouble, what about getting a small stainless table to set your wheel stand on so it's at a level where you won't have to kneel/bend/stoop to clean the wheels/tires? (try looking at a restaurant/kitchen supply store) - just a thought that might save your back...hope you had fun at the RageAgainst show!

    Such a good car! It’s always really interesting what each new story is being told about every week and is so satisfying to see what some washing can do to a car to make it look like new again! Such great work Larry! Keep it up!

    I too recently detailed a red 1990 Mita Convertible - same wheels and black top. It is garaged in the northeast winter and run Spring through Autumn.
    Not quite in the shape as this 1500-mile beauty but not bad for a 30+year old car. Yes...verrry thin paint - I needed to be REALLY deft and patient during machine polishing with the single stage paint - took what I could/left what I should! Once done - coat of sealant and topped with a coat of Carnuba. Gorgeous.
    This vid just puts the cherry on top of this fabulous survivor.
    Sweet!👌🏼
