I just got accepted into my program and I’m super excited im very confident surgical tech is the next step from Spd and I’m ready this is about to be dope 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾
Great video! Love the tip on utilizing as many practice tests as you can. You are also correct about going to SPD to learn. I learned my instruments and different sterilizing methods while working in spd. Keep up the good work.
I went to school back in 2011 and graduated and could not pass my certification so a couple years later I got blessed to get a job in spd and I’ve been there for 5 years I heard the test got a little easier and I want to try to retake my test again I passed my sterile processing certification
@@smartgirl1891 I did a lot of online test like propofs and gotestprep and i only studied one book. It’s the Surgical Technologist Certifying Exam Study Guide.
I been clawin my way up in the hospital starting from environmental services to CSR now I’m in SPD. Im trying to get upstairs but I’m like “HOW SWAY!” I’m much more of a hands on learner and I don’t wanna take all the other classes that comes with school like English and math and they said I gotta take all that to get my CST. Can I just study these books and take the test on my own somehow
No because you would have to have a degree through an accredited school. At least that’s how it is for Florida my school told me idk about any other place.
Hey thank you for tuning in, just like Tiesha said yes you will definitely have to go to the program In order to be 33 minute. BTW I am so sorry I have now just seeing this comment

Yes there is an entrance exam for Surgical Tech Program
Depends on where you go. There was no entrance exam at my school. Just make sure you finish all of your pre reqs
