I was thinking on this idea 15 years ago and finally installed one at my 22 marla home in islamabad 2 years ago.but ist not that much easy what you explained rather its a measures of complex measurement with high accuracy.After many failed attempts finally i made it perfect and now its working perfectly and i do not needs to on my AC durning the summers.i used copper pipe instead of galvanised iron and its just super.now im enjoying 25 degree Celsius inside my home during the summer with just a 12 volt battery power.

It's very good that you have thought of geothermal energy for medium and small scale. I will like to add that using G.I pipe will is not a fesible idea as it will increase the cost to a large scale. Also to bend those pipes will creat the problem of cracks in the bend. There will be lots of issues in the begining but can be solved. you can use alluminum pipes which are more flexible and rust free also.
GI coated w/zinc provides increased resistance but is not going to be corrosion proof over a considerable period of time. The way our properties are structured, majority of installation will have something on the ground level (above the pipes - mostly landscaped gardens etc. Ppl will be vary of investing or become party to such a venture if there is even an iota of a chance that the GI structure may fail and that the whole thing may have to be uprooted. This may lead to a lot of destruction of say landscaped gardens etc. Chance of coolant leaking into the ground may just put off many normal right minded people. GI systems (especially joints) are not a particularly attractive option when it comes to their pressure handling capabilities. At some level a no leak guarantee will not be a landmine that can be sidestepped. This is where a PEX installation will prove invaluable. 0 leaks underground can be guaranteed if the the installer is even moderately trained. GI will require above par (=₹₹₹) installers. I can understand the bit about reduced load transfer capability of PEX but that has to be properly quantified and then compared to the challenges that a GI system will pose.

hi, have you setup a real small house or building system yet in India? Geothermal air conditioning has good potential if you have a good working model for say 100-500 sq yard plot in India, with a 3-4 floor building, residential or commercial. Good market scope. thanks

The Traditional 1Ton ac has a capacity of 18000 BTU but when it geothermal the capacity would depend upon various variables like underground pipe length + Radiator Size etc, but we would try and simplify the calculation based on amount of coolant which would be used in the system for which we actually need to built the system

Har room me coolent vala Pani pressure se pahuchana hoga . Or room me DX units lagana hoga Humdidity bhi calculte karni hogi . Costing bhaut ho jaygi or accuracy nahi milegi .
simple example , in hot weather we get cold ground water because of latent heat transfer, in cold weather we get hot ground water. next time please check temp difference, thanks
Yes it works, I have tried in the bore well pipe. I inserted the GI pipe in bore well passed the radiator cooling for heat transfer media,but problem comes immediately as the minerals get solidify at outer surface of GI pipe and becomes useless,or take out the pipe and clean and then insert in the bore well.Results were not encouraging.

This system cannot beat high humidly levels but in that case a dehumidifier can be used, we have not tested it yet but I hope that running this system with a dehumidifier might consume less power
you may need a small tank at least a height 2 times higher than the suction head of the pump filled with coolant or water connected to this cooing line/pump to remove any airlock or loss of liquid over long-term operation.
Commenting for better cooling input, 1. Fan direction as it is used as suction or pusher kind off 2. The coolant ratio as for premix 3. Necessity of coolant as for indian climate needs 4. Radiator type lowered fin downfall kind to be 5. Action in reverse to make modular system as for blower or heater 6. Placement and geographical assessment for system installation You can take it as input or if require support let's connect
Sir it is a good concept,Saw this in some youtube video long ago,but this is going to create lot of maintenance issues depending on the coil material quality, installation process and manpower expertise. it is not as simple as "fit and forget" type. better is wind energy. but no Bharatiya entrepreneurs.
Try to deploy machine learning algorithms in the software of this proposed prototype so that efficiency of the overall system could be increased and cost issue will be resolved as well
Brother , I installed few geothermal systems in India and they are working fine. This is not how a geo system installed. The pipes are HDPE and they exchange heat via GSHP. There is no coolant , normally water with glycol goes as antifreeze.

Simply burying the pipes in soil will cause ground water contamination with heavy metals, you should incorporate a mechanism of water percolation ( specifically rain water), in soil bypassing these pipes
Use copper tube for underground line with one small steel water tank, both are should be fixed underground. Standby water pump shall be run on required comfortable air.
I am from kashmir. Here its too cold during winters and also electricity is not much available during winters and using even if its available then the monthly bills costs go up as heaters consume a lot of power. But if such a thing can brought to kashmir, i believe everyone would install it.
I think ground water system is more efficient need two bore one for incomming and second for outgoing ground system work only for few hours after that soil will heat and efficiency go down

The cost of these huge length of underground GI pipes (which will eventually rust anyway and need replacing) makes this type of cooling impractical in India (this system more useful in colder country). Better in our climate to use simple cooling tower with water on the roof, it will be circulated to a normal aircon that has water cooled radiator! Or if you have nearby pond you can use its water instead. Small pump won't consume much power overall you would save power on AC

Instead of underground earth, I think under ground water tank can also solve the same purpose. Many of us already build an house and no extra land available to dig down these pipe. May be it's not efficient as Earth and something is better than nothing.

Instead of using 90° bands. Try using banded pipes for batter flow if it is possible.

This system cannot beat high humidly levels but in that case a dehumidifier can be used, we have not tested it yet but I hope that running this system with a dehumidifier might consume less power

you may need a small tank at least a height 2 times higher than the suction head of the pump filled with coolant or water connected to this cooing line/pump to remove any airlock or loss of liquid over long-term operation.

Sir it is a good concept,Saw this in some youtube video long ago,but this is going to create lot of maintenance issues depending on the coil material quality, installation process and manpower expertise. it is not as simple as "fit and forget" type. better is wind energy. but no Bharatiya entrepreneurs.

Brother , I installed few geothermal systems in India and they are working fine. This is not how a geo system installed. The pipes are HDPE and they exchange heat via GSHP. There is no coolant , normally water with glycol goes as antifreeze.
Mòter or reditor jho chalaga woh bi toh electrcity lega.. ushe solar penal seh connect karo ..taki free elecrcity mil sake.. ishe loop ko chalane ke liye

Simply burying the pipes in soil will cause ground water contamination with heavy metals, you should incorporate a mechanism of water percolation ( specifically rain water), in soil bypassing these pipes

Use copper tube for underground line with one small steel water tank, both are should be fixed underground. Standby water pump shall be run on required comfortable air.

Copper is conductor of heat so using it will give best results in heat load.Material used otherwise should be comparable to condictivity of copper.

I am from kashmir. Here its too cold during winters and also electricity is not much available during winters and using even if its available then the monthly bills costs go up as heaters consume a lot of power. But if such a thing can brought to kashmir, i believe everyone would install it.
I think ground water system is more efficient need two bore one for incomming and second for outgoing ground system work only for few hours after that soil will heat and efficiency go down

The cost of these huge length of underground GI pipes (which will eventually rust anyway and need replacing) makes this type of cooling impractical in India (this system more useful in colder country). Better in our climate to use simple cooling tower with water on the roof, it will be circulated to a normal aircon that has water cooled radiator! Or if you have nearby pond you can use its water instead. Small pump won't consume much power overall you would save power on AC

Instead of underground earth, I think under ground water tank can also solve the same purpose.

GI coated w/zinc provides increased resistance but is not going to be corrosion proof over a considerable period of time.
The way our properties are structured, majority of installation will have something on the ground level (above the pipes - mostly landscaped gardens etc.
Ppl will be vary of investing or become party to such a venture if there is even an iota of a chance that the GI structure may fail and that the whole thing may have to be uprooted. This may lead to a lot of destruction of say landscaped gardens etc.
Chance of coolant leaking into the ground may just put off many normal right minded people.
GI systems (especially joints) are not a particularly attractive option when it comes to their pressure handling capabilities.
At some level a no leak guarantee will not be a landmine that can be sidestepped. This is where a PEX installation will prove invaluable. 0 leaks underground can be guaranteed if the the installer is even moderately trained.
GI will require above par (=₹₹₹) installers.
I can understand the bit about reduced load transfer capability of PEX but that has to be properly quantified and then compared to the challenges that a GI system will pose.
