  • Geothermal Cooling and heating systems are available in the market from a long time but their Installation, and size of operations and complete cost of Installation is so huge that it stays out of the reach for small home owners but what if there is a way in which we could self install a geothermal cooling and heating system for our home on small scale, In this Video we would understand the working principle behind the geothermal cooling and heating system and understand how we could make a mini model which we would install in our homes and there is a major benefit in installing these system which is we can save 50% on our electricity cost than an traditional air conditioner.
    So how can we install these systems in our homes easily and quickly with items which are easily available on a local hardware store.
    How Geothermal Heating and Cooling Works?
    Geo thermal uses the fixed temperatures inside the earth crust which remain constant, and does not effect much by the atmosphere temperature, so in extreme summer Just few foot below the surface we could get much colder temperatures and in winters that same temperature feels warmer so if we could harness that constant temperature and use that to cool or heat our house we could save a lot on our electricity consumption as most of the electricity in a regular home goes into the heating and cooling needs.
    How To Setup your own Geothermal cooling and heating system?
    We have given various details in the Video but just for reference you would need the following things to get started
    1) GI (Galvanized Iron) Pipes
    2) Small Water Pump
    3) Radiator
    4) Coolant Liquid
    5) Fan Unit to go behind Radiator
    Once you have all the things you can just watch the Video and start Building your own Geo thermal System for your Home or office

    It's very good that you have thought of geothermal energy for medium and small scale. I will like to add that using G.I pipe will is not a fesible idea as it will increase the cost to a large scale. Also to bend those pipes will creat the problem of cracks in the bend. There will be lots of issues in the begining but can be solved. you can use alluminum pipes which are more flexible and rust free also.

      GI coated w/zinc provides increased resistance but is not going to be corrosion proof over a considerable period of time.
      The way our properties are structured, majority of installation will have something on the ground level (above the pipes - mostly landscaped gardens etc.
      Ppl will be vary of investing or become party to such a venture if there is even an iota of a chance that the GI structure may fail and that the whole thing may have to be uprooted. This may lead to a lot of destruction of say landscaped gardens etc.
      Chance of coolant leaking into the ground may just put off many normal right minded people.
      GI systems (especially joints) are not a particularly attractive option when it comes to their pressure handling capabilities.
      At some level a no leak guarantee will not be a landmine that can be sidestepped. This is where a PEX installation will prove invaluable. 0 leaks underground can be guaranteed if the the installer is even moderately trained.
      GI will require above par (=₹₹₹) installers.
      I can understand the bit about reduced load transfer capability of PEX but that has to be properly quantified and then compared to the challenges that a GI system will pose.

    And what is the price and electricity difference between this and a split ac..??

    • @lumencity
      @lumencity  8 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      The Traditional 1Ton ac has a capacity of 18000 BTU but when it geothermal the capacity would depend upon various variables like underground pipe length + Radiator Size etc, but we would try and simplify the calculation based on amount of coolant which would be used in the system for which we actually need to built the system

    @FactsCosmos 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

    I will explain it in simple manner
    To achieve 10 Ton of cooling capacity which is more than enough for a 200sq yard house you have to
    Use a 6x10 ft hole with a depth of 15 ft [Better if it's below the water tank], Use copper pipes but GI pipes can also be used
    You will have to use multiple radiators as a single large fan and radiator will look bad and also the noise will be super high for a home
    There are some more things that can be done for a better system but I think you'll find them in your research.

    Bhai mjhe ye idea future proof bilkul bhi nhi laga aur isse repair krna bhi next to impossible h. Kuki agr koi bhi isko small scale me banane ka sochega vo ye hi krega piping ke upr building khadi kr lega aur ghr kl ko pipe leak krti h to vo unko kabhi change nhi kr sakta vo ye tabhi kr payega jab vo pipe wale sare area ko open chode uske upr build garden kuch naa banaye total wastage of land.
    Ye system bilkul esa h jese kisi car ka cooling and AC system kam krta h. Pr iske andr AC gas and compressor bhi hota h, chlo compressor ka kaam hamari earth kr rhibh aur chlo AC gas ka kaam coolant kr rha h isme bhi issues h, ek issue coolant kabhi bhi us level ka chilled nhi ho sakta aur dusra ek coolant ki bhi apni life hoti h, usko bar bar change krna bohot expensive padega.
    Ye system bolne me aur dikhne me simple h but ye complex to maintain h koi bhi normal admi to pagal hi ho jayega.
