If I have to choose between Jay and Ye as artist, my vote will always go to Ye ! Maybe Kanye is not the best rapper, the best beatmaker, he uses co-writers and ghostwriters, co-producers... BUT he's a rapper AND a beatmaker AND producer ! So he has all the knowledge to work on all aspects with or without people. Because of that, he has his own sound, nobody sound like him, and he became his own captain to reach his own vision. If Jay has influenced rappers, Ye has influenced the music industry. A talented guy... with some issues !
