This shows you how spiritual Kanye takes music. It’s not just about making a dope beat and recording dope verses. It’s deeper than that. You have to live the music you’re making.
As a massive Kanye fan this video was a lot of fun to make. To see how he’s always known exactly where he would be and what he would do is inspirational. Glad you guys are enjoying. Who should we cover next?
Nicki’s verse on Monster is hands down the greatest female rap performance I’ve ever heard. She absolutely killed it and shocked me when I first heard it. She wiped the floor with everyone else on the track
Lauryn Hill on Ready Or Not is the best female verse I've ever heard and Nicki isn't even close. Her and Ye did have the best verses on that track though for sure.
And just think that was early in her career. Nicki Minaj has men excited about many different verses of hers.. To grab a male artist or men in general, especially in Rap... she's Mos Def the QUEEN!!
I think he's one of the greatest musical minds of the 21st century. His process, vision, and just overall way of how he thinks is just fascinating. I absolutely hate that people are now using his controversies and disliked public persona to try and discredit his musical genius, because if there's one thing that should never be questioned, it's his musical prowess imo.
He's just somebody that's unwell and it's in the public eye. I love him for everything he's given us and nothing can change that. I just want him healthy. Body and mind.
Great job putting this together. I’ve seen all of these videos in different places, but it’s even more valuable as one piece. Your effort will go mostly unnoticed, but I see you guys!
@@Svetz17 I realized after leaving my comment that you were the one that put your blood, sweat, and tears into this product. Thank you for the hours of effort, bro! Keep pouring your heart out through your work! You deserve a raise!
it's crazy hearing Chris Rock describe the room like that, bc every time I listen to that album I really feel like an executive/successful/wealthy. it's absolutely beautiful how well Kanye's vision and his studio sessions translate to the listener experience. I felt the same with Donda, the whole album was so deeply moving for me. I started praying more and more and started to find more value in the simple things after that album. Donda has had such an amazing influence on me these past few months. I haven't listened to it all the way through too many times, but just the energy and the vocals about family, God, and love are so powerful.
It took me 2 months to get through Donda, before all the additions. I spent about a week each on Off The Grid, Hurricane, and like 4 on Remote Control. This will only be appreciated by people who appreciates it. Thats all I can say, but I loved the album in its first release.
All i can say is Kanye is a genius. And Don Jazzy is a Nigerian and one of the biggest producers in Africa who owns a record label called Mavins. Now i see why he left good music. It must have been werid for him, because he was one of the biggest celebrities in Africa but kanye treated him like he was nobody by locking him up in one small room to make beats for him.
I agree. When you listen to the words in the verse you can really get that he was a douchebag and asshole in the relationship. The verse really came off as heartless. Really well written.
The whole 'Making them do a verse multiple times' or 'Songs not coming out' is very reminiscent of what people have said about Dr Dre. The bar to perfection and brilliance is so high, that a great producer knows when something is and isn't a hit.
Made everyone rewrite their verses, must've been hard given thier star power.... But man, Nicki, Push and Ross must forever feel grateful for it, because they really delivered...
Damn as a Kanye fan this was so beautiful to watch. The master of manifestation. He manifested everything he spoke on into existence. Kanye is genius. I would have loved to see the Graduation sessions. Kanye is the G.O.A.T. let's give him his flowers while he's still with us.
fun fact, he ended up not using the drum sounds timbo gave him for the final mix of stronger. The song's production process was arduous, with West and his team mixing the track reportedly over 75 times, including after its release as a single.
There will never be another Michael Jackson, Prince, Frank Sinatra, Elvis and with that being said there will never be another Ye. He is and will go down as the greatest Creative of his generation.
Ye brought back that FEEL to Hip Hop. Things got technical in the late 90s in the mainstream, and Ye switched up the vibe by bringing the FEEL (Soul) back in the music.

Sometimes, in the music we make, the best part isn’t our verse. Some of my favorite Kanye songs, aren’t my favorite because of Kanye’s part. Like on “Bound 2” we all sing along to “I know… you’re tired… of lovin…. Of lovin, with nobody to love” and then we all follow along to the “UH-HUH HONEY- waaaaaaaaaa”.. Kanye knows this and considers it when choosing his samples, sounds, or features. He uses techniques that translate his ideas into hip-hop
