I saw this kind of leaves with Buddha image printed on it when i was a small boy in India. We kids used to say Buddha print appeared naturally. But the leave is of bodhi tree or peepal tree.
I just wanna ask, I followed your video but unfortunately the leaves didn't turn out like yours. I've soaked it for also 24 hours but I can't brush its skin off so I decided to soak it again for like another 24 hours and there's no progress. It's still not soft enough to brush off. Hope someone can help, I need to pass this (cause it's our project) on Thursday and I'm worried it might not go well. My classmate suggested that I should let it dry under the sun but I'm having a second thought. I really hope someone can help asap
Use Sodium hydroxide instead of baking soda, it only takes 6 hours to make it soft. I've tried it with both and get the same result as yours when using baking soda.
Yes you are right.I soaked in plain normal water for 15days.Changed the water alternative days.peepal leaf is a better option. Some leafs are broken.I tried this way. The results are not so bad.

@@pradeepkumarkn For processing, it is better to choose tougher leaves with a strong frame. Leaves of walnut, ficus, poplar and others are suitable for these purposes.
The hot wet method involves the use of a strong soda solution (at least 7-8 tablespoons per 1 litre), which must be boiled, and then lowered the leaves there and reduce the heat. Future skeletons should be cooked in a solution for about 2-3 hours (maple and birch leaves are cooked for about 2-2.5 hours, oak leaves - all 3 ). After cooking, they need to be removed, rinsed under a thin stream of water and peeled off the pulp with a toothbrush or a stiff brush. Clean carefully so as not to damage the veins of the leaf.
I like the video which does not waste time and shows the process immediately in an understandable way! Thanks for the idea!❤

All other videos say way more than 24 h. So I’m a little suspicious. I’ll try it with bay leaves and see.
