Nice. You should think about screwing the workbench to the wall with some tapcons. It'd be a really quick fix for the shaking. Either that, or put some diagonal bracing between the legs.
how much costs in uk this pto?
hey daggerwin. we just got a ford 5610 and the break lights keep blowing the fuse, any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
Did you cut it 16cm or more? Or did you lift the mower when you messured the length. Ps. Sorry for bad english im from finland
I like this video, Daggerwin! You could have made it a bit more educational by explaining what a topper is used for. Maybe just even a little peak underneath the hood would have been fine. Anyway, I did learn something today about PTO shafts :-)
Personally I would have taken 2 inches more of because well you lift the machine the pto will shorten and if it can't shorten anymore you I'll do damage to the pto shaft on the tractor or mower I found this out well I broke a pto form wear and lucky had a the male part but to long by about 4 inches and tried to not take to much off so it fits the other machine and bent the thing when I lifted the topper luckily i could still use it when taken off a couple inches it's about 1 inch out of line for the bend but still dose its job

What kind of drive shaft is that called ? I think they call it 2 lobed spot shaft?? I need same thing for my kubota snowblower . Wasn’t sure if there’s a name to search for it. They never show the insides of the protective plastic. All the ones I’ve seen are trilobed . Thank you

oh my god the PTO is the same that me have! Is it made in poland because we also got that little booklet hanged with those white things (dont know how its called in english) . we use it on t30a80 tractor, google it if you want, it has 35 hp, and 148 hours :D im very proud of my farm in Lithuania

No. This things is 4ft a push mower is 1ft

the back tires for the massey look like they are low because they are wobbly on the contents camera

We do this all the time we don't measure it tho we also just use a grinder
If you're putting anything other than metal in a metal-faced vice, I would recommend using some wooden blocks. That way you avoid damaging the thing you're clamping against. Bet your neighbours love you driving that thing around though.

real quick tip I've always been told cut pto shafts shorter than needed to reduce stress

A PTO transmits power from the tractor to an implement. Power Take Off is the full name for it....or Please Turn Over if things are going badly wrong lol

Johnny 4 As for PTO shafts the length dose not really matter once when it's at it's operating length the 2 shafts are roughly 50/50 inside each other. Like it's only driving a set of blades not a mower so it don't really matter if it's cut too short like fuck all stress is put on it
