Another great practical video Tim. Love these videos which help the novice become a little less of a novice. Keep up the great work it is very helpful.
Thanks Tim, I am glad I stopped to turn off the computer and saw your post. Great video, I have not had this issue but I must have at least 5 PTO shafts, but I now know what to do, Cheers
Depends on soil. No specific answer. But typically go 125mm or larger and 900 in at least if by hand. Most people these days would go a 2.7 or 3.0 and drive it.
Stupid is a polite way to say, about not fitting pto guards. A quick you tube search will soon convince you. 100 % right about the guard being stationery, there are some out there that say the guard should turn with the shaft, they have their reasoning, but completely wrong.
I’m new to tractors and PTO set ups; this was very informative and straightforward. Thanks mate ! Cheers! from Bath, NC, Good Ol’ US of A
Just did this a week ago. Only took me three tries. hahaha. This video would have been great!

Your T20 is missing a PTO guard. Why the long shaft on the tractor?
Adapter. Old school shaft size.

Even more concerning are the people who think it's okay to hook up or disconnect the shaft with the engine running.
10 mins on the tools? more like 2 hours.
Alright... twelve minutes and change....
