I’m guessing you won’t be reacting to iKON again until this series is over, but if you do I’d 100% recommend “Goodbye Road” and “I’m OK.” Probably some of the best written songs in K-POP.

Killing me is really my favorite 😭 It's been years but ikon's breakup series (love scenario, killing me, goodbye road) and then later their "i'm okay" cb offers some of the most heartbreaking and sad lyricism, so thank you for being one of the youtubers that actually reads the lyrics and talks about them 💗
Caitlin being invested in the Airplane mv story then ended with a cliffhanger is so funny to me hahaha yall don't have to do that to our girl like that 😂😭

Super excited for you and other bubbles to get to know ikon. As caitlin said, they moved to another label and apparently will be having a comeback in april (finally!!). After everything they've been through they deserve a lot support and love!!
One of those groups who have top tier discography and B.I who oversees that aspect is even more insane to me. Theyre just soooo talented as individuals and as a group.

YG Artists are all Swag and Cool but they are actually the goofiest. IKON are chaotic like really chaotic. Before Treasure, IKON was the only group in YG that has synchronized and more choreographed. All of the members are Great Dancers and BI use to do their choreo. BI is really a Great Dancer.
Fun Fact: IKON was taken from the word ICON, but YG said make it "K" since they're from Korea and gonna be ICONs.
You almost get their names right only you always interchange SONG and CHAN. But I don't blame you bcoz they have really great resemblance. They are actually called the TWIN MONSTER.
CHAN/CHANU does not give a Maknae Vibe but he is actually a SAVAGE MAKNAE. His Hyungs are afraid of him. He says what he wants to say and always gets away. He's not the cute baby type of Maknae.

Hanbin truly did amazing work! He is the best producer and lyricist of his generation. there is no close second. He loves Jun-e's voice. I hope both can work together someday. fans are spot on about the combo that is double-b. those two are electric together. Bobby and Hanbin must get together someday. manifest!

I missed Ikon so much 😭 and it's still hurts like its just like yesterday that Hanbin is still with them but... I hope their new label treat them right cause yg did not.

They actually looks so happy with their new agency, they're shining, and their schedule is packed. We will have a tour, bobby tour, jinhwan solo. They're physically 6 in our eyes, but always 7 in our heart. They will never be complete again but at least, we have the assurance that their friendship will last until their last breath like what Hanbin said before.
YGE has had a lot of creative people under them, this series will definitely introduce you to some gems. 'What's wrong' & 'I'm Okay' are my favorites by iKon, highly recommend them for the future because of the alternative sound & the sad yet beautiful lyrics. Even if it's far into the future, they're top tier songs worth checking out~
I love IKON as a collective so much but I was always so drawn to Bobby, this man is a ray of portable sunshine, I am weak!
I really love "GoodBye Road".. All YG Artist have their own unique sound and Style tho they all have that YG trademark too. you will enjoy this journey as much as i do.

Yay!! I discovered iKon from Kingdom as well. Their vibe is different then other groups. iKon be having hype party anthems. On the other hand, the breakup songs hit me. I like longer videos and timestamps help for those that don't have time to watch all of it. Also, did you see they are announcing their tour dates soon 👀

Personally , ikon is my top two coolest kpop groups! Their discography is definitely my taste. I’ve been listening to kpop since forever and ikon’s songs ended up in my top playlists. Can’t wait to see them live in September!

I really appreciated u taking some time looking up to iKON music. They’re music is very deep also swaggie and they have underrated vocals. If ever u had any time i highly recommended their bsides and live concert stuff and u will appreciate the vocals more. Even the rappers sing well ❤

ikon's live vocals best in the industry at this time. there is no close competition. each and every member vocals are top notch. they are all main vocals, main dancers bar none. they can all rap too. this skill-set is hard earned. one can trace this back to 'win who is next' where B.I really made each of them train and practice dance and vocals. he built an all-rounder group where every member excelled in everything. Hanbin is a very giving leader in that he created other leaders. every ikon member is a leader today. i cannot think of any other idol group leader that can be credited with this type of dedication to their members. not even big bang.
Ikon is another boy group that deserved better, i won’t say i’m their fan but i listen to their music a lot since the survival show and i’m really liked their genre. Their music bring me back to my high school and i missed that time so much.

oh my goodness the nostalgic feelings i have rn is too much 🥲 ikon is one of my favorites when i was in highschool, i have this one song from them that is so special for me and its apology, i remember playing that song nonstop when i was camping in highschool with my one and only friend that also enjoy kpop, we wonder why is that song so frickin beautiful esp june's part lol and that time it was raining/gloomy all day so yeah it matches the song well! i cant never forget the vibes anyways thank you for the wholesome reaction as always

YG boy groups are the only ones who perfectly pull off the party YG ending and it’s not awkward with random words.. I don’t know about BigBang but treasure and ikon do it so perfectly that it never throws off the song! So glad you did ikon! I’m only at the bling bling dance practice so I’ll finish the video now 😂! Bling bling and killin’ me I have for ringtones - bling bling was my first introduction to ikon. They never disappoint either. Can’t wait for more music from them some day!

Nah this is a good series. Companies will especially have their artists collab together too (YG for example has had many collabs between their artists) so it's good to know who is 'together' under one label. There's also this idea that the artists under one label are a 'family' which is part of K-Pop culture as well. Brother/Sister groups, etc. It's also a good way to see how the styles of K-Pop have evolved over the generations, since companies with lots of artists are typically the ones with roots all the way back to 1st and 2nd gen and have set trends within the industry.
I HOPE YOU check their discography like in a different video cuz its definitely WORTH IT. THEIR SONGS aside from the songs that go hard are just as amazing. Well of course if you have time Caitlin. Sending lots of love ❣️

If yall have watched WIN, I think we could all agree just how much they represent YG image back then. Swag, stage presence, rap heavy but also unique vocals and great dance choreos.
Watching this makes me realize that B.I really makes the greatest songs out there. All these songs are written, composed and produced by him and remembering how young he was during their rookie days and already was able to make bops is just so so amazing. And omg the way B.I wrote the lyrics of KILLING ME is just so beautiful 😭

I forgot how much Jay attacks me in Bling Bling dfvgbhujhtgrf I'm so glad you like him too. I'm so hyped for this new series and definetly would love for it to continue!!! Especially since you mentioned getting to know the absolute legends that are BigBang, form who a LOT of kpop trends come from (also you'll see that og yg group blueprint in them) :D. Groups that come from YG have a style thing that I like to call the sad party duality (lol) - they have the side of vibey, sadder songs, and their very hype party side, you can see that in ikon, winner, bigbang, 2ne1 and even blackpink to some extent! IKON in general is probably one of my favourite 3rd gen groups honestly (I'm OK being their crown jewel imo), and they'll be having a world tour soon and I hope they it wont sell out immediately. About their goofiness - they ARE very goofy, including their music videos (looking at Dumb&Dumber here lol)! :D Also I think the kprofile thing is good! at least for just getting to know the names, not learning them necessarily :)
My first look at Ikon was actually a dance practice for Rhythm Ta because I was watching BTS dance practices so it showed up as a suggestion. I swear I loved it so much I had to binge watch everything else I could find 😆

and if you're watching more Kdramas this year, watch WIN and MIX And MATCH. That's like the iconic, ult kdrama of idol survival shows. Almost all 3rd & 4th gen male idols saw that, balled their eyes out, and got traumatized. You'll see why iKon was that respected in Kingdom.

Just wanted to correct you since they actually had 3 survival shows before Kingdom. They participated in a Chinese survival show(they actually won a lot of the episodes beating out Chinese artists(the 1st group out of SK to do so) but had to stop when tensions got heated between China and SK ,but in the end they won over a lot of Chinese fans. Psy was their mentor. It is so worth a look. They did some amazing things in the series.

Not a company stan but eversince I started being a K-pop fan back in 2009 I always tend to gravitate towards YG artists music, given they're only a few of them at the time. Anyway, glad your starting this series, cause you can definitely discover how talented other groups or artists are. iKON will always have a soft spot in my heart cause I watched WIN and Mix and Match, I know they have been through a lot and they're all talented. But yeah, really enjoyed it. Also you could definitely still do the K-pop profile thing just to give you an idea of who the members are but don't put too much pressure on remembering who's who cause it definitely takes time. Thanks again for doing this.
