In their documentary, Teddy and the girls shared that they were hesitant to release WHISTLE because it was different and had a lot of elements that were considered "new" during that time. But all of them really loved it and how its not the typical sound so they released it. Contrary to their worries, a lot of people did love it and to this day is still very popular 💗

They don't have the coachella live album, but they have the In Your Area Tour live album on streaming platforms and for the tour they used the same band, it's pretty sick
The band they have coachella is the band they always had in their concerts. Their live performances, majority of it, have a live band and it makes their song 10x better.
Since this was the Coachella upload, they cut down on the crowd noise. I watched it happen on YT and it was insane.

When they did their coachella stage, JISOO was really sick then and she talked about it in their documentary but nobody can tell. They slayed their performance, they were the talk of the town! Jennie and Lisa with their charisma and stage presence while Jisoo and Rosé were so stable then despite the very windy weather situation. Not to mention the pressure too. Theyre coming back this year as headliners which is exciting. Queens!!! 🔥👑

Yeah, I'm a fan and would of course come to their defense if they're wrongly hated on, but any decent person would come to their defense. Because decent people would understand that you just don't go around spouting hateful things like that about people you don't know. I'd never do such a thing to other people's faves...words can really hurt and it's sad to see that these people haven't learned and are just repeating history again.

as a blink since debut I really appreciate your words at the end. lately the slut shaming, body shaming and many other very detailed and disgusting tweets are even more present with a lot of likes, so it's hard to be a blink on twitter and not get upset and question what these 4 women did to them all.
I once said, and stand by it, that other kpop fandoms will appreciate and give credit to blackpink only after they disband, because then they will see all the records objectively and not as their biggest competitor.

The last bit was so real. The hate was always insane but now it has evolved into literal sexism and misogyny. It is very disheartening because I just wish people went back to calling them flops or that they have no stage presence or something, like that's how vile it has gotten. Thanks for always being honest and just enjoying what you like. Blackpink really worked hard and still do with a literal world tour and headlining major music festivals. Somewhere in the 400+ comments in here someone has probably mentioned this....but just in case bc i think bands who perform with artists don't get enough recognition....but the band that was live at Coachella with Black Pink has been touring with different YG artists for years and i mean at least since Big Bang was still promoting because I saw Big Bang live in concert and the Band Six was with them. That band is freaking fire they always bring just so much energy to concerts.

Alot of people including celebrities were hyping their performance up even before they arrived. they had no idea exactly how excited people were for this. Yeah, they're the headliners for this year's Coachella ✨ They're also headliners for BST Hyde Park in Europe.
you are so real for notifying the fact that blackpink receive an insane hate train every time they breathe. These girls have been in the industry for a long time and have accomplished so much, I feel like they will never do well enough when they are the biggest girl group in the world. People will always find an excuse to put them down even when they don't do anything just because they are successful women and move away from the traditional kpop group but I love them unconditionally they are the first kpop group that i discovered and i am so proud of them even if i even though I knew them when they were already famous. They will be back to perform at Coachella as headliners next month, they are the only non-white women along with Beyoncé to headline this festival i'm really proud of them and i hope they will continue to go far.
Playing with fire is still my favorite song of theirs. Everything about it is just so good
For covers recommendation I will definitely go with sure thing cover it's uploaded in their channel I think it's safe to react to and there's also so hot cover they have a performance for it and a studio version I'm not sure if the stage performance is the safe but the the audio is definitely okay, those 2 covers are SO GOOD and everyone loves them I'm sure you will too!

Official videos of live performances will tune down the audience in order to hear the performers better. Watch fancams to get the real feel of the live performances. Their charity performance in France recently was night and day different between official video and fancams.

Whistle has an acoustic version. Also, Rosé performed this acoustic version in an Inkigayo showcase, together with Twice’s Jihyo, Exo’s Chanyeol, and rapper 10cm. Rosé sang Jennie’s rap part too!
For the longest time, the girls considered Whistle’s choreo as one of their hardest since it’s like dancing to an a capella song. Choreographers agreed with this since there is kust one underlying steady beat and it’s difficult to dance to basically nothing and still keep in step.
The Show and the Tokyo Dome concert albums have the live band. This is their touring band-Band Six. They have been with YG since the days of Big Bang (they toured with 2NE1 as well). I think they cannot release a Coachella album because of Coachella itself.
Seeing your meltdown on the JenLisa rap part in Kill This Love, I think you’d faint if you see how they did it in this year’s Coachella 😊

I love whistle, top 5 easy, I don't usually like empty choruses, but it subverts what your expecting and throws the man whistling at girls back in their face, and is so smooth, and I love early Jennie rap, remember this is their debut so all those references come from this era
