My memory of this game from when I played as the Starks some years ago was that the Greyjoys were kind of weak. The only reason I didn't single-handedly kill them was every time I tried the Lannisters stopped me by attacking.
@@alekssavic1154 maybe the person playing Greyjoy just wasn’t very good? From my experience they are definitely the most powerful, only Baratheon really comes close, and Lannisters are by far the weakest
Greyjoy is the most powerful house. The numbers pretty much bare it out. The only real way to combat it is to ally with stark publicly and let greyjoy know that if he is aggressive at RR that stark will get aggressive on him in the north and his army with have to spread. Greyjoy's best move is yo be aggressive so you really have to convince him/her that it would be less beneficial for him to do so.
This really is a beautifully made game. My friends and I play the physical boardgame a lot. Nobody but me seemed to want to make the switch to digital, though. Makes me sad.
EE, I feel like you've given up on TH-cam. Which is understandable, given what it is these days, the shit that rains down from on high. Still, on a whim, I checked out your Twitch account and found Hades. It's a little late now, but still relevant, could work. Seems like you were playing it before most streamers, and it would've made a great series here. I'm listening to you talk about D&D on your Twitch stream, though, and you clearly have a passion for it. You are an awesome, amazing GM. I would love to see more of that. Man, I get the generalized TH-cam admin depression (they are terrible in all ways), IRL pressures and so forth. I've never done much tabletop, but I'll play if it will help; it would be a privilege. I think the GM stuff is your gift. Hope life is treating you well, whether or not you continue casting. Cheers :)
Great video! Just a tip: play starred orders when you have the ability to, unless you want to save it when you have the raven to swap it in where you need. Saw couple of times you played march 0 and -1 when you could have used the +1 in your order inventory ;)
This streamer does not really stand a strong chance against other players. So many weak comments about tactics, and winning against the AI on pure luck, that Greyjoy BOT is an idiot.
Stopped caring at 10:30. I'm sorry to be so harsh, but if the AI spends 2 PT to change from Aeron to Victarion in that situation, it basically conceded it's game in first turn of the game. Free win from there. Love this game, but if the AI is less capable than random generator (it was far worse move than just pick a random card), then it's pointless. Sorry.
Have you (or anyone reading) played Vassal? I’m trying to do like a play and pass with friends at home but seems like it won’t allow you to play multiple houses at once?? Vassal was only option I found that seems to let you control them too, however I only got 2 turns I think of being able to issue orders in planning phase, an then they were skipped for several turns after that, however the AI took over an was gettin a lot of ship (Vassal is Lannister in this scenario) an mustering land units too. I picked Greyjoy as my house, an idk it was very confusing an not sure how the controlling of the Vassal works with planning an actions an when you get to control that…an is there actually no way to do pass an play to play with friends???
I don't know, if anyone reads that; but I have a question. In the case, that you want to muster, a ship for example, but you don't have any anymore, are you allowed to dissolve another one on the map to get a new one? Or better: Can you dissolve a unit somehow without getting it killed in combat?
I wouldn't say the Lannisters have the worst starting scenario. They are in a very political situation and engaged quickly, which is probably a bit more difficult playing against CPU. You have the most resource rich starting area and adjacent territories. They are also extremely close to all of the castles needed to win. Both Martell and Tyrell are in much worse situations to win. They need to move half the board to capture 7 castles and start much slower than anyone further north (except Stark).
Any way of making this more difficult agains AI? Alliances are OP, bidding rounds lacks strategies from AI. If me as a player has reached 5-6 castles/strongholds, they should unite against me, yet my allies doesn't, they just seem to give me the victory, no idea why?
Why did you get +3 power in the initial battle, when the starks accepted your alliance? Is that a feature in the game? Because I can't see any supporting stark units around there.
He actually got +4 support: +3 from the ships in The Golden Sound (2 from the ships and 1 from the stared support order) and +1 from the foot man in Stoney Sept.
Hey what ever happened to chickenkeeper? Its been 4 years since his last video. An by the way you seem more legit now, more confident an well good for making videos :) awesome bro.
The greyjoys are so easy to eliminate. All you need to do is win a naval battle to cut the off from their island. The reason they are difficult to attack on the mainland is because they use their ships to support their castles.
"Unlike the books, the Lannisters have a terrible starting position". To be fair, before Tywin the Lannisters were a literal laughing stock. So, it's not too far fetched to say that their start (pre-Mad King) was pretty awful there as well.
This is a good opening only becuse you play with ai, as long for real players you must concoldate power in stony for the coming clash, no real gj player will contest in rr just to lose. do you have vid playing with reall players?
We're not going to upgrade to siege engine for a very good reason, and that is because we're going to upgrade to siege engine... I had to laugh It would have been a bit harder if greyjoy hadn't misplayed their first two combats so badly (tossed victarion, missed an easy balon win) and then didn't drop ships as soon as mustering card happened... Honestly, Lannister only has a bad start because greyjoy should be nigh invincible in the first 3-4 turns and...you have to have riverrun lol Once stark builds up and they lose the valyrian blade, greyjoy calms down and Lannister is ok. If Lannister isn't a greyjoy vassal by that point...
Exactly my point as well, Greyjoy gave away Riverrun and so many other mistakes. Well its not really a hard diffulculty at all. The hard setting is more like a real person being mediocre.
AI are not good at all. FUN to play, but not good. 100% predictable at all 3 levels. Try the game for yourself with Skirmish and realise how stupid the AI really is. At Easy level they attack everything or nothing and bid randomly. One medium level they attack ONLY if they are sure to win, sometimes [seldom] they charge crazily at the entire game, and they bid randomly but normally not more than 50% of their tokens at each stage. (aiming to get the valeryan blade and nothing else). On hard level they only attack when sure win is an option, but the actual choice of general to fight with is 100% random. They never bid all their token, random bidding but going for the valeryan blade.
Please more of this. We need to make this game more popular
EE: "Greyjoys are so scary! They're so powerful!"
Also EE: "I now control Pyke and have exterminated all the Greyjoys."

@@coqui9879 i'd say baratheon is stronger, it is almost impossible to take their coastline and they can attack almost anywhere they want
Baratheon has the weakest deck by far. Lannister deck is actually pretty good, but unforgiving to play.
40:13 - actually when your enemy has only 1 house card on their hand, Tyrion can cancel it entirely and deny other cards being returned
40:12
Greyjoy: has only 1 card in hand
EnterElysium: "Tyrion doesn't do anything"
:(
Please upload more content about this game. I would love to see tips and tricks, or series type walkthroughs of each faction

Im not through the whole video yet but on turn 2 and 3 March+1 was disabled from Put to the Sword
Nice, another video of this. Looking forward to seeing how this one goes.
Maybe you can play this in multiplayer? It seems like the AI is not much of a challenge for you as is.

My favourite vid so far. Keep up the great work!

Martell has the worst starting position, then Lannister.
Is there a way to remove the limit to end game turn. I want to conquer all the continent..

The bots are not developed to be smart enough.
I always liked the music in this game.

Would you think of doing some kind of full let's play of planetfall you recently did a look on and show the new stuff on it?
FYI this game is free on Epic Game store right now. June 23 to I think the 25th or something in 2022.
Way to hit em in the hurty spots and good job not dying!
why does house tully not exist here?
love these videos!
Played it since 2012 with friends. Do you plan to make tournaments with your community? :D
Don’t the Lannister only start with one ship in the base game?
Official rule change, Lannister starts with an extra ship now.
Casually turns the Greyjoys into the Arryns
it's a good day for rain in Castamere
Heard From the Depths is exiting early access, curious if you're planning on going back to it?

you should do another from the depths series with aavak
