The emotions of real time gameplay can't be replace, but i like to see the other perspectives of the other player as well. As you already know the ending, you can create a nice build up as a narrator. Love what you are doing man!

I like live commentary when it's not you playing, and replay commentary when it is you playing, for many reasons. In most cases, live commentary is best because it's in the moment and it preserves the surprise elements. But there are niche benefits to having replay commentary when you (Shanks) are the player - first of all, you're not distracted by the need to comment, so you can focus better on gameplay and give us a better master class. Second, you can record it any time off-stream, so you won't have notifications happening in the video - you can still plug your Twitch channel, no worries there, just it would happen when you want it to happen. Third, you're already aware of the important things that happened in the game so you can move your camera to focus those events and explain what made them so impactful -- for example, think of last video, where Ranjel's Saruman fireballed both of your Eagle summons at once; if you were microing elsewhere on the map, we could have potentially missed that moment. In a replay cast, there's almost 100% chance of seeing it on screen. Yeah, it's fun to watch live games, but there's something to be said about making sure the content in the video is the best it can be, and it encourages people who want the live experience of your matches to come to Twitch for it. That's my opinion.
Agreed. Only thing I'd add is sometimes people spoil their own games (or hint at the outcome) which at least for me takes out a part of the enjoyment. Knowing who wins early on isn't great imo.

@@Bulldogg6404 A thumbnail and title doesn't spoil how the game ends necessarily. Showing a gandalf in the thumbnail and titling it Electric trolls hints at gandalf hitting some lightning swords, not that Gondor wins the game.

Kind of a Zerg situation. In order to balance that out you probably need some kind of stabilizer (in the case of sc that would be tanks, I'm not to sure about bfme, only play it casually) and then some kind of insanely good trader (ghosts) Wich allows you to force him to disengage and then just sit on range and shoot him.
I prefer you casting your own games, because I think that live commentary slightly (only slightly!) decreases your concentration, and I want to see how hard you HIT LIKE A TRUCK! :)
What about commentating over your pov after to allow you to focus and we get to see and hear your decisions and reasons when you are blind to the opponent
I slightly prefer you commentate over a replay. That way you are able to fight with 100% focus and commentate with 100% focus. Both ways are great though
Commandpoints were always the boring and limiting factor in this game. Im glad i had finalbig and just edited it so i had thousands of command points for fights and the campagne xd

Your commentary of replays is imo better in general, but since this is a WCS, live streams are always the best xD. Hope u feel better!

I think laser tower win is pretty sad, there is no real answer to it when catas now give so much power points, some nerf to dps would be nice

I slightly prefer you commentate over a replay. That way you are able to fight with 100% focus and commentate with 100% focus. Both ways are great though
