This was awesome!!I take African drumming lessons from the bassist Mother.I can't remember what she said the type of music it was going to be,but i wasn't expecting this.Exceded my expectations. Thanks!
@@BaggaRhum nikki, the bassist have been in the band barely since quarantine, and NIck (current and the one on this show) is like the 4th frankie and the witch fingers drummer and data doom is his first album on the band so dunno dude, it always have been different and thats cool, also is not one of these bands who have all the composition work on 1 or 2 members everyone contributes to the band
I just realized the drummer for this band played with mike watts band. If he was doing that as a side gig he has my upmost respect he’s going to be big.
These guys are so good. Massively underrated on all accounts!!! "Work" is one of the coolest songs ever. Its hard as shit to play music like this and actually sound good. Amazing.
I think you gotta realize that people can have inspirations, and the music itself here is super good and original I don't think someone having a high guitar strap and playing and moving the way they want to should take away from the music itself. I've seen them live and yes he's a lot like john dwyer, but in my opinion I think being anything remotely like him would be the highest compliment in the world.
Obviously the band takes inspiration from them, but to watch a 7 minute clip of the band and call him a John Dwyer cosplayer is cringe. I love the Oh Sees but man some of the fan base is awful
@@Aaaaaaaaaaa22211 Lol... He dresses like Dwyer. He moves like Dwyer. He sings like Dwyer. His songs are heavily derivative of Oh Sees. I mean... We are all influenced by something but to copy someone's style verbatim is cringe my dude. I think it's a cool band he just needs to be himself. Even if your music is heavily influenced by a band it's weird to then copy every aesthetic of that band. If this was an OCS cover band it would make perfect sense. But their not. It's a bit cringe. Sorry your feelings are hurt.
@@BA-vv4jy lmao Dwyer doesn't own any certain fashion sense or movement my guy... anyways they've done shows together so if Dwyer really had a problem about it he would've told him.

Killer band, the new album is just amazing ❤
Absolutely agreed ❤

My brain is melting and dripping out of my skull 🧠🥰
Give that drummer extra money!
Nick Aguilar is my new favorite drummer.

I always hear a lot of afrobeat in their music, especially on the verses of this very song !

he used to play in a band with the son of Bradley from Sublime...I think the name of the band was LAW
@@tillzillz that’s sick I’m going to have to listen to that. Nice to know his son is keeping his music and soul alive.

i love riffs
ah cool, i've practiced inside of there a handful of times in the early 2000s and an old roommate (tachyons+) did the visuals here, cool.
All these bands are the same. Hey I got a fuzz pedal, let’s do that cookie cutter stoner stuff.
Cool group but the singer is obviously cosplaying as John Dwyer. Kinda cringy if I'm being honest.

cool band!
The Oh Sees is an obvious inspiration of them
dunno, seems like Oh Sees could stand to bite more Witch Fingers riffs if they want any juice
@@chrismathewsjr the algo gave me these guys when listening to osees radio, and the osees have been on the shelf ever since.
