Yeah, no, the Mercy community isn't complaining about everything. We were frustrated because they removed the new Guardian Angel and increased the cooldown, making it literally unfun to play the character. We suggested bringing back the old one if they wanted to change it, but what did the devs do? They set the cooldown at 3 seconds, and even after Guardian Angel is finished, the cooldown doesn't start. It's interesting how streamers like you, who barely play the character, feel the need to talk about it. You could watch most mercy streamers and they all said the same thing. They've taken the fun out of Mercy's Guardian Angel, and Mercy players are suffering, just like everyone else. So, chill out.
Yeah Kenzo is an egotistical asshole who thinks he knows everything about the game. He plays support like a dps, on the most dps focused support hero, gets gm5 and decides support is easy. He knows nothing about mercy or any other hero that doesn’t focus on damage
@@rellultra3607Pretty unreasonable response. They made a character less fun to play as, and the commenter isn't complaining but instead just explaining the issue. The one thing that most Mercy players enjoy the most is movement, of course they'll be upset if they nerf it.
It doesn't really feel fair to say the Support role is broken when you mostly played Kiriko, Illari and Bap as far as I've seen who are already considered top picks. That just means it's those three who are absurdly strong or too efficient at what they do. Is Lucio broken? Is Moira broken? Brig? Outside of Discord Orb and Anti-nade being too strong against one Tank, are Zen and Ana really broken or too good? It doesn't feel that way.
support is broken, by "support broken" people mostly refers to illari/kiriko/bap/ana. these are the most powerful and most played support. adding to that, brig is not really broken alone but played with a descent broken supp, she can be very frustrating. Lucio is for sure not broken, he's actually the most balanced support and maybe one of the most balanced hero in the game. sadly he sees little playrate by most players due to, you know, not being stupid op, so no point playing him if u are not in full squad. moira is right now pretty bad due to only dealing damage or heal, no real utility beside that. any supp can do what she does and sometimes better than her. zen as u said is strong by discord orb, so he's good. once again, "support op" refers to overused and overpowered hero pool. hope I was not too confusing
it really doesn't matter when you have two or more characters that excel at everything AND you can choose both of them for your team, not only is it bad game design (it almost always forces players to always choose a set of characters, meaning no one will play a different character unless the whole comp changes or they get buffed, which rarely ever happens) , its just bad overall(if you were to play with the broken supports then you would feel amazing, but if you play against it, you feel like your fighting a souls borne boss that have three stages before you can actually kill it.). At higher levels, unless you have a dedicated team comp that works, if you aren't running bap , illari, kiriko , ana, you are throwing. i mean, while moria's garbage at higher ranks without a team to play with her it doesn't even matter since if the other team has any of the other fore mentioned supports, they will dominate your whole team without trying that hard, they just have that big of a advantage because they're kit is too strong in comparison to all the other hero's that if you don't have them your at a disadvantage. all in all, its less about the whole support roster, but rather the fact there's character within that roster that makes the whole game unfun OR too easy, if it were a dps or tank we would say the same thing as long as the power balance is severely focused in one area.
I dont see how playing against people at a lower skill rating and picking only meta supports proves supports are broken. Everyone says supports are all broken but you never see anyone do an unranked to gm on lucio.
Damn I love watching people talk crap about Mercy and then play her only to be the absolutely awful. If she’s that bad and that easy then everyone should be able to play her right? Funny that you proved that isn’t the case with that piss poor gameplay.
Match 4 is usually the case for me. Granted, I'm in silver, peaked gold and play rather casually. A solid 80% of my games I'll end up with either most elims (Yes I know they're not picks but shhh) or most damage. My team never ends up playing like a team unless we're steam rolling our opponents. It's hard to even keep someone up when they're half a mile away, pushed up too far or are just getting attacked by 5 people. If nobody gets the picks I can't get around to do my job, and Sombra players.. nobody seems to ever deal with Sombra so I'm always stuck in a 1v1 😂
@@destructo3457 not really, i only play rank for fun and i haven't been past diamond 2, thats why seeing kenzo do something like that is impressive for me
It was a fresh account, so he was able to go up in ranks easier and much faster. If you create a new account, win most or preferably all of your QP games before unlocking comp and then go 5-0 up to 5-2 for your first two cards, you should be in mid Masters by then. A lot of people just cheese the system that way to get the titles and shit, for bragging rights, I suppose. It's especially easy if you duo with someone of a slightly lower rank than your new account when you do your initial placements and following card. Probably half of the accounts in GM are alts for this reason. But in GM, there's also a ton of people that just buy GM accounts outright when they're actually like plat or diamond, or are accounts with hacks. Edit - think about it this way; if the system has 3 seasons worth of data that point toward you being a gold/plat player, you're going to have to play more games after you begin improving to show the system you deserve diamond. But if the system only has your QP MMR with something like an 80-90% winrate, and then you go 5-0 in your comp games, it has no contradictory data to assume it's just some fluke or set of edge cases where you went on a streak, so you don't have to "work against the system" to prove you're a masters player, by default according to the system, you just are.
The begging of the this video was stressing me out. Why is he so stuck on how much damage he is doing when he’s being out healed by his other support and the other teams support?
I dont understand the argument of when you res, damage boost, heal and how to stay with your team on mercy you have to manage cooldowns on all charaters. Honestly they could solve all this issues of making all these crazy changes for next season by just bringing back the second tank in tank role as they’re trying to balance a game that wasn’t made to be 5v5 in the first place, but that’s my critique, because honestly they could keep the reworks how they are and the tanks would still play well together if we had 2 tanks again (but probably get rid of zaryas second bubble). @@chauwon Basically this is the problem with OW2, even more than the matchmaking. Wins/Losses regulate your MMR after every loss and every win, but the highest your MMR can go up is x5, and the lowest it can go is x15. That in itself is a problem when the rank only updates every 5 wins and 15 losses because if you go on a loss streak it will be extremely hard to balance your MMR again and the system expects you to get a nearly 100% wr and a 5-0 for the next 3 or 4 rank updates, the player will always demote 1 or 2 divisions after 8 or 9 losses, but if the player then goes 5-0, 5-0, his rank will stay the same because the MMR will still be very low from the 9 loses. So here we would have someone with a WR of over 50% but that has only seen his losses make an impact and not his wins. Overwatch is the only game I know of where a player can have a ridiculously high winrate at the end of the season and still end up in a lower rank than previous seasons, just because of the MMR. If you are P3 and you lose 15 games in a row and win 15 games in a row, you'll first drop to G5, then recieve no update for the first 5 wins, then go up 1 rank for the next 5 wins, then go up 2 ranks for the final 5 wins, and your final rank will be G2. Even though your WR is 50%. If you are P5 and you lose 5 games, then win 5 games, then lose 5 games, then win 5 games, then lose 5 games, then win 5 games, you'll just stay in P5 with 50% WR.
