I just installed these, thanks for helping with the wire layout! You can use each switch for different areas in your place though. I have one for my patio and the other for the kitchen. For those asking questions, you have to have a neutral wire, no way around it. The main switch (it will have the neutral wire bundle) is where you put this switch. If you don't have the neutral wire bundle and just one neutral wire then that's the satellite switch and this will NOT work for it, you need a dumb switch. You may also have two main switches that are connected so you could use a two pack for one light.
Thanks for the video. If the other dummy 3-way switch in the circuit is used to turn the controlled light on or off, does the HS210 status light and the app accurately show the on/off condition?
Yes. Just tested it. If you have a regular analog switch on one end and a Kasa smart switch on the other, you can control the light from both ends and Kasa will know when it's on or off.
@@billgriffin9946 You likely swapped one of the travelers with the line/load wire. Swap one and see if it fixes it. If not, then swap it back and try with the other traveler. One of them will fix it.
Love the simple explanation of this procedure. :)
Thank you

@@---GOD---I've been having an issue with the switch turning off if I trigger the other switch.

@---GOD--- I'll try that. Thanks for the heads up.
if I have neutral wires in both boxes, would replacing only one of the two dummy switches with a smart switch still work?
What if I don't have neutral wire?
Same here
You can buy no neutral 3-way wifi switch
Why can't you use the other switch elsewhere?
You are able to. I’m not sure why 2 are included in the package. You only need to replace one of the 3 way switches.
Have 2 black wires, my lights are just stay on
then its not a 3-way switch
