Welcome to The Build Series Season 3, Beginner Bike edition! In this series, I take one of the best beginner motorcycles, the Yamaha R3, and build an awesome custom bike! In this video (Part 13), it's back to knocking out the list that just keeps getting shorter. First, unboxing the Streetfighter kit that BlkLabMotorcycles sent out, the defining feature of this bike. So stoked on this and I think y'all will be as well when we get this thing put together. Had to make some modifications to the mud guard and tail light pieces for the kit, so I got that done and ready to go, as well as installing the new brake lines, battery, putting the ECU back in, connecting and tidying up more of the wiring harness in the tail, and installing the new kill switch. SO CLOSE to being done. Can't wait to ride this!

Do the big bore 1200cc kit
Use the cable from old start button/ killswitch-assembly, that will get a rid of wrong/ missing connector problem. Wires are either screwed or soldered so it is not an impossible task. Greetings from Finland!
Erputin666 I had to do that very same thing to get my custom headlights to work on my R1. I was just happy that I kept the stock headlights in order to do so!
Gonna be a badass bike when you finish man. And it’s amazing how much weight those lithium batteries save. Such an easy way to save some lbs. 👏👍

I just looked up that streetfighter kit and holy crap, it looks awesome.

Take the connector off the stock starter/kill switch. Then take the new switch connector off. You can repin it using both oem connectors.

So appareantly the R3 is made in Indonesia then exported to US. Convinced by Indonesian language (Bahasa) on the battery 😜

can you change between minimum, medium and high beam on the light led bar you have on the crf? need some legal stuff for my bike :D

There's a module that will let you control the brightness of the led light bar.
I wish I could tell you where to go exactly but I can't remenber where I saw it.

James Magahey I’m pretty sure the R1’s don’t come with abs. Usually it’s lower cc bikes. I have a 06 R1 doesn’t have abs.
