Hi Rorlin, making great progress. In case you hadn't heard of this item Adafruit makes a slip ring that allows wires to turn 360. They make a couple of different styles and number of wires.

I did not think about using the slip ring until after I had printed out the parts and saw that I was going to have a problem with lighting the periscope having the stepper motor centered under it where the slip ring would have to go. Hind sight is 20/20. Thank you for the idea. Every little idea helps.

Thanks for sharing these. I have printed my dome and want to add these to it.

Thanks for all your videos... I'm just printing my dome at the moment (well I'm down to the rings now actually). Your videos are very helpful for filling in some blanks as to what goes where. I'm still trying to figure out if I need to print the pie panel that goes above the periscope though.
Also... if you want to skip a step when exporting files in Fusion 360, you can tick that little box that says "send to 3D print facility" and then it should give you the option to simply save as .stl that's what I tend to do and it seems to work.

    Hello,
Great job I started to print but I don't have the space to put it in the dome because of the lights, where do you place the periscope in the dome?

I have a Prusa Mk2S and Love it, Super quality prints, saw some of your blue parts last vid, quality really seemed low, question are you using PLA or ABS ? PLA has low Melt point will even melt in a car

Building in PLA for the most part. Do not need high quality for most parts because I'm finishing them. The sanding will take care low quality of the parts.

cool, just ordered couple rolls of ABS to try it out, its bit Stronger and Less chance of melting, Just have to be careful of warping, heat gun can fix most easy warps though.

What do you use for the hinge pivot points? The holes are pretty small, not sure what you would use in them. Also, in thingiverse, the links for the servo motors are the same as the links for the stepper motors. Can you update this?

I have fixed the links to the servos on Thingiverse. Thank you for pointing that out. I'm going to use a 2mm RC airplane push rod that I got from hobby king years back. So any Push Rod that is 2mm should work ( amzn.to/2f3kb1t ).
