I had this done for my plantar fasciitis, I was told my ankles needed mobilization, after this I was in pain, the next day my ankles felt compromised, I went to emergency room but no breaks. I later had MRI no tendon damage. One year later my life as I knew it is over, the pain is unreal, every day I feel like I'm walking on broken ankles. I have seen every doctor finally found the pain is nerve damage, I wish I knew what went wrong in my mobilization treatment.

It wouldn't surprise me if your plantar fascia pain was neuropathic in nature to begin with which was aggravated by mobilization. Have you had investigations into your back? Nerves might also be getting 'caught' in several other places.

Hello....Very much helpful and excellent explanation. Can you please help me with my problem? - I have had severe fracture to my left ankle (diagnosed with HAWKINS'S TYPE III FRACTURE OF TALUS WITH SUBTALAR JOINT DISLOCATION - ORIF OF LEFT TALUS done on 28.03.2015). Herbert's screws are used to facilitate the fixation. I have been on complete bed rest for 4 months. After one year, nearly 40% of the ankle movement is lost and I couldn't walk on plain surfaces inclined upwards. The range of motion in the upward direction is very limited and. So, after one year of my surgery, is it possible to regain the actual movement of my ankle by doing these mobility exercises. I am unable to run and perform most of the daily activities due to this blocked movement. I am very scared that I have to be like this for my entire life. Please help me with your valuable suggestion.

resting for a long time is the worst thing after a fracture. Try streghtening, some liberal movements, isometrics.

+Wee yong Wong This is an Australian technique (developed by Geoff Maitland), taught by an Irishman in a DPT program in the USA.

Don't do the physiological movements so haphazardly please, this is more like what someone would do to manipulate.
