How to remember which 'T' bone is where: -Triquetrum is the third bone, (in the SLTPHCTT mneumonic), so TRI-quetrum. -Trapizeum boarders the thumb, so TrapeziUM and ThUMB. (Trapezi-thumb). -Trapizoid is the one left over. Hope this helps :)
First thing is the mistakes you made and you corrected them yourself and told us too so that we can clearly understand. I appreciate your honesty and the content you described was totally amazing . Second thing is I am watching your video's since high school ...your way of explanation is totally amazing from others and this is what makes you different. 👍👍💯
You can't imagine how helpful this was! You make it seem so easy - in our school we have to study Anatomy all by ourself without any lessions by our teachers - you see, I'm really happy there is someone who can explain it to me!
It was sheer luck that I came through your video recently while surfing on youtube. Its awesome. You are a blessing to many.Greatly helps in Revision and the Images are so clear and detailed.Everything is so good. Thanks for sharing your time and talent.
If you take a=1 b=2....z=26 then H =8 and there are 8 carpal bones. A=1 for 1 thumb. D =4 for 4 fingers. 1+4 =5 for 5 metacarpals. N =14 for the 14 phalanges. So the word HAND contains the anatomy of the hand. HAND = 8+1+14+4=27 for the 27 bones of the hand. CHIN = 34 = JAW. Find out more on English Gematria for wow discoveries.
I beleve the mnemonic he told ie. So long to pinky here comes the thumb Actually give you a idea by word pinky and thimb its related to hand So in future if you try to remeber it will help you in understanding its for carpal bones While problem with the she looks so preety mnemonic is ultimately when you will study head or abdomen you may get confused what was that mnemonic for
A great way to remember the initials of the carpal bones: "Some Lovers Try Positions That They Can´t Handle". Scapoideum, Lunatum, Triquetrum, Pisiform, Trapezium, Trapezoid and Hamate.
8:51 INTO THE VIDEO THE DIAGRAM SHOULD BE LABELED METACARPAL, NOT METATARSAL. THE ART WORK AND PENMANSHIP IS AMAZING AND VERY HELPFUL! THE EXCELLENT KNOWLEDGE OF WRIST ANATOMY IS PROFOUND!
0:35 As you mention later in the video, that bone is called the h. PISIFORMIS. Pisiformis means “shaped like a pea”. Piriformis, on the other hand, means “shaped like a pear”, which that bone is not. 4:07 That tendon you drew belongs to the m. Flexor Digitorum Profundos, as it is the only forearm muscle that goes to the distal phalanges of the fingers ii-v. Also, the m. Palmaris Longus inserts itself in the flexor retinaculum. Lastly, that muscle in particular is a pretty crappy anatomical reference, since about 1/6 of people don’t have it (and none of us really need it). 8:39 As you are saying, that bone is NOT a metatarsal, is a metacarpal.
Very nice video, you inspired me to open my own channel on Anatomy, guess what, even my video on anatomy hand with 3 D animation has come good.... Thanks man you rock

Nice video! One correction, I think the ulnar nerve (both motor and sensory branches) passes ulnarly by hook of hamate, and ulnar artery passes hm radially.
I learned the carpal bones phrase: “So long the pinky, here comes the thumb”. I like that one because the pisiform in on the pinky side and the trapezium is on the thumb side.

Sir I will be very thankful to you if u make a video lecture on superficial and deep fascia of palm of hand ....as early as possible......I am much confused in it
Hi Armando! Love the videos! I was wondering if you could make a video specifically on nitroglycerin and its affects in conditions such as angina, chf, acute pulmonary edema, etc. Thanks!
If you speak spanish, la mejor nemotecnia que he escuchado para los huesos del carpo es Esa Señora Pidió Pizza Trae Trozos Grandes y Ganchosos (Escafoides, Semilunar, Piramidal, Pisiforme, Trapecio, Trapezoide, Grande, Ganchoso)
Actually, I think your drawings of sections by a horizontal plane should be all inverted. I think that because of the anatomical position and "a rule" that wants the horizontal sections to be viewed (and depicted) from bottom to top (as in MRI)
Hi, first of all, i commend you for making such a fantastic video and presentation. However, I have a query; I believe you mismatched the order in which the upper finger bones are aligned. You mentioned in the video that the "Trapezoid which ends with a (d) comes first before the Trapezium, which ends with an (m)." I may be wrong but having looked at all the anatomy and physiology diagrams available online on the finger bones. The Trapezium comes before the Trapezoid. Kindly advise
Video talks about hands: Me: My name is Yoshikage Kira. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.

it did thanks
5 years later, but that helps so much
Born to be instructor, teacher, guide. You’re simply fabulous, fantastic!!!!
Yes, "So Long To Pinky"...as you move towards the pinky. And "Here Comes The Thumb" ...as you move towards the thumb. That makes perfect sense.
'straight line to pinky' works better

Armando... Let me know if you ever do a clinical anatomy on the elbow or the shoulder! Your videos are amazing!
Be careful!! He has some mistakes, at least in this video
Legend is back to save many lives..
0:37 This is the Pisiform Bone, not the Piriformis Bone. Piriformis is located in the posterior hip.
He wrote pisiform later on tho. So syntax error i guess?
NICE LECTURE.
that was a very long video ( yeah i'm on an Anatomy marathon). but super worth it

Great video, really helpful. Thanks for sharing. Bless you!
I learned the carpal bones phrase: “So long the pinky, here comes the thumb”. I like that one because the pisiform in on the pinky side and the trapezium is on the thumb side.

Need more video like that , specially in hand.

Pisiform bone...not Piriformis Bone. Piriformis is a muscle in the gluteal region.
Excellent demonstration.. helped me alot... much appreciated. :)
Excellent demonstration,. I'm here sending back my support thank you and stay safe
“She looks too pretty, try to catch her”
Proximal row
She: scaphiod
Looks: lunate
Too: triquetrum
Pretty: pisiform
Distal row
Try: trapezium
To: trapezoid
Catch: capitate
Her: hamate
Oh, by the way.. I enjoy the animation drawing. Really cool
Me gustaria suscribirme a esta pagina porque soy Ortopedico y me gusta la Anatomia humana y poder desarrollar mucho mejor mi profecion
we learned the carpal bones differently in school, it was Some Lovers Try Positions, That They Can't Handle :)

I know, so funny that he said metacarpal but spelled metatarsal. It's like almost synesthesia between phonetics and muscle-memory.
My problem is top palm crease. With ring finger tendon huge pain with this tendon in palm been getting worst . it's been like 12 - 15 years
