Simple but effective! Just what I'm looking for. Love your tutorials. Keep up the good work. My only comment is that I wish you would teach (slowly) the strumming patterns.
Just like Mark, I've waiting for you to teach a tutorial to this song also. The first way was easy, but with capo so much easier!!! I enjoy all of your beatles tutorials, I am a beginner guitar player and I love The Beatles!!! You are a great guitar teacher!!!
@TheWalrusWasDanny It's a delicate balance Danny. You don't wanna make it too complex to both play and sing at the same time. I prefer in the tutorials to give people the basics and then anyone can add their own embellishments as they see fit. You'd know doubt find that if John played the song solo on an acoustic it would be doubtlessly different to the multi-track studio version. If the embellishments don't detract from the strum or rhythm too much, then I'll generally point them out.
I am THAT MARC and my hat is well and truly off to you Peter, and yes i am very proud! thanks again Peter! THE BEST TUTOR ON YOU TUBE! (FACT) ps I'll e-mail you, cheers!
Also the "I'm in love for the first time" bit has and on an off Eb note during the E chord..pinky on and off the 4th fret of the B string..it's a stretch but It makes it more authentic. Danny
REALLY enjoy your Beatles lessons! You get right to the lesson (unlike many) and your love for The Beatles and playing guitar really shines through (always a pleasant thing for the person watching). Keep up the great playing and instructing! Much respect! -Dan
Awesome Tutorial Pete! I was confused because others on comment that there should be a F#m/b and an F#m7/b in there. But thanks brother for the tutorial! :)
Great tutorials, really simply to follow & your approach & attitude is great (some people are right pompous so & so's) They've been a big help to me. Ta (& by the way you should check out paul wellers version of this tune)
Marc should be very proud...i would, if i heard my name out of your mouth ;-) A dedicated lesson personal to him, lovely! ;-) Peter, do you know the song "Where do you go to my lovely" by Peter Sarstedt?
EEk Pete pete pete the riff the riff...FWIW If I'm playing it in E..I'd go E Esus(Hammer on and off) plucking the open B for the next note.then E6 plucking the C#note on the B string...then pinky over to the F#note and Esus to E..also the F#m sounds nice with an open E string (it's not what the fabs do but it sounds quite nice) Danny
It's a lot easier in G to Am (No Capon). The twidly bit is then easy to work out in the G shape and you probably won't sound like a stuck pig when you sing it. Play G down then an upstroke with still in G but with your finger in the 2nd string 2nd fret, down again in G taking the finger off the second fret, then to Am. In Am as you strum the chord alternatly take fingers of strings and back in Am to a shape of the rythm. Then twidly bit is then 4th string open - 4th string 2nd fret - 4th open - 5th open -5th 3rd fret - G chord

Mr 16 your the most clever guitar player of all time. Many are concern about proper chords but if it sound good. Then it's good

Peter, do you know the song "Where do you go to my lovely" by Peter Sarstedt?
Try Inversion E major on 9th fret followed by F#minor (also 9th fret) with embellishments.
Toby Gentry awesome
Actually I watch Marty also I toss between the too. Marty can be more on correct chords especially if your not a beginner.
Mahalo is another site that great specially the girl with Spike hair. I love her.
Actually, I found it accidentally while messing around with some Hendrix style riffs, then I saw Marty do the same thing.
Great lesson.
whats the strumming pattern though
enjoy your vids
