As a Chinese, I think it's a great thing that G2 Beat RNG. It shows them the importance of being humble and respectful, it shows their flaws, a great lesson for them for sure. But same goes with Fnatic. It also helps IG to get a confidence boost and easier semi finals. If it were IG vs RNG, that might exhaust them which might cost us the Finals. To Chinese people G2 did us a favor by taking down RNG lmao. IG were just happy that they got into the worlds and did better than last year. They played respectfully towards Fnatic in the early games and it paid off in the end. I hope they can continue to stay humble and respectful towards other teams coz the gap is closing rapiddly and the meta is changing like crazy every month. I don't know about EU, but next year, I believe Korea will fight very hard to take back the cup since LPL won everything this year.

Hell most people expected a clean 3-0 for RNG like it happened with IG-G2, so ofcourse when the underdog a team that wasn't even expected to make it to worlds let alone get out of groups beats one of the best teams in the world. It is just hype when something like htis happens.
@Lizzy allen But that isn't the case, actually. Perkz is not the best ADC in EU and Mikyx can be debated as the best support too. Also, LCK has a super team with SKT, getting all the stars they wanted and building a team around Faker, including Khan. They've also historically had KT, which was a superteam built to defeat SKT and yet, they constantly failed to beat them. All in all, superteams usually don't work and getting the best individually mechanical players in one team doesn't guarantee having good synergy or the best team in the region.
The most unexpected, hyped and the best game is SSG vs SKT game 3 2016 finals.
The only thing west can do to win worlds is to put Micheal Jordan, Lebron James, Steph Cur, John Cena, Rambo, Silverster Stalone, Keanu Reeves, Obama Care, Crooked Hillary, Johnny Bravo, John Cena again, James Harden, Obama Care again and Perkz in one team to be honest😂😂😂😂😂😂

Not that they always lose solo lanes. I do think they can actually win solo lanes if they actually tried to. But they wanted to play around Uzi so they picked safe and passive laners (mostly tanks) to peel and protect Uzi so he can carry. Letme and Xiaohu had shown in the past how good they are at other champions beside tanks.
They lose solo lanes because mid gives up waves to roam bot to get uzi ahead, jungle gives up solo laners to get uzi ahead and top uses tp to get uzi ahead. Then uzi ints his ass off over and over and they lose. He actually looked so incredibly bad and he was given all the resources his team could give him, it was uzi that lost them this series, there's no other way about it.
They lost lanes because of the chams. This is the worst banpick of their whole year performance.

Pretty much all 5 members of IG, regardless of race, stepped up and outclassed FNC in the finals. The Chinese definitely didn't carry IG on their own, the solo laners played just as well. EU definitely can't say the Koreans carried either with how phenomenally the Chinese players played.
