Don’t to step on any toes but you don’t need a tune for headers. Maf is already dialed for factory cold air and injector data. Will be flowing more air. But the maf will see that and be able to “adjust” for more airflow. Trying to save ya some money. If you don’t want to tune it. Save tuning for when you go boost
I'm personally not an X-Pipe fan (raspy/cracky) but I installed Steeda's H-Pipe almost immediately after purchasing my wife's 2019 GT in 2019. We still love it, even after recently pairing it with a Ford Performance axle-back. Getting rid of that Resonator is a must 🍻
The stock Mach 1 exhaust sounds incredible, but definitely needs an X/H-Pipe to enhance the sound. Personally, I prefer the H-Pipe, but either one is 👌. Also, FYI those mufflers are from the GT500, so I’ll never replace them. It gives the M1 a unique sound. Ford engineers just killed it with this car. 🔥
the mufflers aren't from the gt500(gt500 has 5 inch tips vs 4.5 on the mach1). I ended up welding a corsa double H pipe to the gt500 borla atak to get 5 inch tips to fill out the rear valence better lol

This mufflers were retrofitted for the M1, and they added perforated tips to give it the unique sound, as well as making it as loud as possible while keeping it street legal. Ford Performance did something similar with the GT350s...the GT350R has different had a 2.75" exhaust versus the GT350 which has 2.50" exhaust. Think of it as the 10R80 in the M1, it has more aggressive tuning than a GT 10R80. There are other unique parts added to the M1 HP that Ford doesn't advertise, and it was Ford engineers just having a blast in making the best N/A 5.0L possible. Everything they learned with the S550s was applied to the M1. It's already a modern classic, and won't be plagued with reliability issues like the GT350s.

Definitely gives the exhaust the extra volume it needs and changes the tone just enough that it has a pretty unique sounds between 3-4k rpm. It ALMOST has a GT350ish tone around that rpm range. Unfortunately mine just got rear ended today (just paid the first car note yesterday and was on the way to get the first oil change). For the time being I’ll be enjoying your Mach 1 content! I have two buddys with 18+ and one has h pipe, one has x both with factory active exhaust. This video does no justice. They are so loud in person for being stock mufflers and still have cats. This coming from someone who’s almost straight piped 😂both sounded amazing tho

Man you can do longtubes. I did a gen 1 in a gravel driveway on jack stands, alone. If you can do a blower install headers should be no problem. Also it doesn’t need a re tune for them but why not tune it for the other benefits of a tune lol

To colehoney ,Is she actually misfiring or are you throwing codes for misfires on specific cylinders along with random misfires? If so try a neutrual misfire relearn. Sometimes when work is done on the car this procedure is needed to be done. My GT 350 was throwing misfire codes and had a flashing check engine light and that neutral misfire relearn worked perfectly. Good luck bro.
👍It's better to weld them. The Steeda clamps are trash (no offense to the sponsors). Unless you get the heavy-duty ones for $80. Even then, a leak or sagging can develop over time.

I run my gt on a stock tune with headers, x pipe, and Roush mufflers. I would confirm with a tuner though!
Steeda is the only company that uses the 304 gauge steel. Their H-Pipe was the first mod I did.
