The Street Fighter V cinematic story expansion is divided into five acts and takes place between Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter III, bridging the events that happen in between the two stories. “A Shadow Falls,” depicts the ultimate battle between the evil Shadaloo organization and the heroic World Warriors who rise up against them. As the story unfolds, players will enter battles using each of the core 16 characters, in addition to the 6 (released and unreleased) 2016 DLC characters, each with their own unique contribution to the epic clash. “A Shadow Falls” is free downloadable content available to all players and it marks the first time in franchise history that consumers will be able to play through this type of cinematic experience in a Street Fighter game. Damn, this story mode is soooo good. Finally a fighting game story mode that doesn't kill off a large portion of the cast and lets everyone try every character out. Love how even the dolls have their own moves :)

Thanks. I also wish Ryu would've been more then a less important character. He was shown less in the campaign mode. But I don't get is if he knew Gen was the one who taught Gouken the power of nothingness, why Ken and Chun-Li haven't. That was the only thing that bothers me.
I wish Ryu had a larger role in the game, and so does a few like Chun-Li. At least the story is good if not for some dialogues that are a bit cheesy. But this part 12:06 was good one. Capcom needs to consider to make a more complex story were there's a connections within the characters and solve some mysteries that fans been asking, such as Rose's connection to M.Bison, Chun-Li's relationship with Ryu & Ken, Cammy's backstory and Guile's internal struggle with the lost of Charlie Nash.

Actually, Ryu doesn't even have a THEORETICAL chance of beating Akuma EVER. His only remote chance of doing so was to rely and unleash the power of the Satsui No Hado (even then, most likely he would still not win), but now since he COMPLETELY threw it away, you literally can't beat Akuma with the power of nothingness and if something beyond miracle ever happens (which 99% won't), then there is always Oni. So, canonically speaking, Akuma is basically unbeatable.
@@arcticwolf6402 The only being Akuma was able to go par to par with was Asura who was a literal demi god. They fought so hard that they were pushed to their limits and the fighting went on for 500 years (technically)

Now, with that being said, although Akuma is literally unbeatable, he will never kill Ryu, because in Ryu he sees the only opponent that might be able to defeat/kill him, but since Ryu will never be able to do that, Akuma has the moral code of not killing anyone who is weaker than him, so what will happen is, Akuma will meet Ryu again, defeat him (like in SFV), then let him go to give him time/chance to get stronger (as in the past) and then repeat, cycle goes on (it wouldn't also make sense to kill off the main character). Plus, while Ryu is getting stronger, don't forget everyone, that Akuma is getting EVEN stronger from one game/story to another. Learning new techniques like Sekya Kuretsuha, which has the power to destroy an entire forest with one punch, also transformation techniques (ONI), etc. With Satsui No Hado sky is the limit for him, while the Power of nothingness (Ryu and Gouken posses it) is nowhere near that power level and has its limits, because it is NOT the power used for destruction.

What Ryu said to Bison about the Power of Nothingness/Mu no Ken makes me think of what he said to Seth in the Street Fighter 4 tie-in movie, "The Ties That Bind" during their first encounter, and how the power he seeks is the power that humans possess, and that he fights to rid the world of powers like the Satsui no Hado and to press forward, and to show what true strength is. Hell, Seth even told Ryu "Power is power!" just as Bison had, and while Ryu didn't destroy Seth like he did with Bison's physical form, he still did a number when he used the Power of Nothingness on Seth by infusing it into his Metsu Hadoken while temporarily using the Satsui no Hado.

I really dislike the way capcom portrayed Chun-Li in the story. She's supposed to be the flagship strong female character but they didn't let her do anything....
-Bison bodies her.
-Rashid bodies her.
-She failed to stop the operation the first time due to a back up program.
-She didn't use her Interpol status to stop Peter and help Cammy.
-She didn't interact with one of her biggest rivals, Juri.
-She defeats FANG but the dude was already beat up/exhausted.
- And just to put the nail in the coffin Ryu has to save her from the collapsing base.
In Third Strike Urien is Chun-Li's mid boss and mentions he wants to fight her because he heard that her legendary legs/kicks destroyed "that" organization, hinting at shadowloo. Well that's all down the drain now. I don't think there is any recovering from this. Capcom pretty much gave Karin the powerful female role and it's not right.
They've tarnished her image, the only highlight she had in that story was smothering a little girls face with her breasts. As a Chun-Li fan, this really sucks.
Sorta like what happened to several characters in Subspace Emissary, with Dedede and Kirby getting all the best shots.

Street Fighter has never really had a failed installment. Other than SF: The Movie (PS1 game) SF stayed true and improved over time. I can't say the same for it's competition like Mortal Kombat or Killer Instinct.

As a SF3 fan, Urien's line of her bringing down Shadaloo would've been perfect if she was the one to face Bison at the end.
I wish there was a scene back at Karin's place where everyone had a chance to say & do stuff at the end.

It did have some great parts (like decrape and cammy story or the serious part of rashid) but it was mainly too childish and not so good as I expected it to be, nash and necalli were not that important for the hype that they created..

It wasn't a Hado-ken , he charged the energy with "Haaaa" , and released it with "HOAH" , it was not a Hado-ken

The REAL reason why that was possible is because after Ryu managed to defeat Necalli, Ryu had since been able to fully tap into the Power of Nothingness, which only Gouken has achieved before. Through the Power of Nothingness, he was able to channel the purest ki from within him, enabling him to fire a fully focused projectile without harming the target, but instead protecting them, like a magic shell.

It's weird,I downloaded the Street Fighter 5 Fitgirl repack and there was no story like this in it.The only story was the character stories,and they were like two fights.Some had two chapters,others had two and I think one had four.
I honestly don't think that this is the last of Charlie. Literally if psycho power bullshit can bring Bison back from being Shun Goku Satsu, then Capcom will find a way to bring Charlie back as something entirely new.

Hopefully we'll see the three of them team up rather then the rest of the World Warriors. But I am more curious of Chun-Li's connection to Ryu and Ken Masters.

The ending would be alot more appropriate if Akuma comes out from now where and does the legendary "Sekia" move that splits both Ryu and Ken apart just by the power of the True Master of the Fist.They then both attempt to get back at Akuma each with their Hadoken but to no avail but instead Akuma disappears to M Bison and raging demons him once and for all.

Yeah, Bison's death would make a lot of sense, if Street Fighter 3 didn't exist. He's still alive during that game to be killed by Akuma if I remember correctly. He inhabits Rose's body to survive during Third Strike and leaves at the end because they've made a new body for him or something like that. Either way, Bison isn't dead. Or if he is, brave move Capcom to give a middle finger to SF3 and potentially enrage you're sensitive fanbase. Either way, I do feel sorry for Nash. Killed off AGAIN. As much as people hate him dying, it had to happen. He was on borrowed time anyway.
Cammy Rose and Abel were meant as host for Bison
I realize that this was written eight months ago, but just to clarify: SF5 takes place between SF4 and SF3, so Bison dying here makes sense since he doesn't return in SF3 (and Shadaloo as an organization no longer exists).
Bison inhabited Rose's body in between SFA3 and SF2, until a replacement one was made for him.
This body died in SSF2:T. Whether it was Akuma that did it or someone else, doesn't matter. He needed another replacement body made. This is why he's alive in SF4.
Bison still lives, only his body host is destroyed. He tried to possess Ed, but failed, and Ed reformed the Shadaloo organization.
Bison needs to die so the story can move on. Its really not a huge loss Gill was a great boss character. SF no longer needs Bison.

Yes, I hope that's true. It's time for a new villain already. So although Bison is still alive, he might die later, maybe Necalli will absorb his soul. Otherwise Bison will make it to SF6 and/or possibly SF7.
