Definitely the Arena Games: Take away flying mounts, cornering, and more technical/speedy transition skills (and add in hotel quarantine and inability to train to full capacity) and you get an incredible glimpse into LCB's short course potential. No doubt Lucy can easily hone these skills with more experience so this race left me extremely excited for what's to come.... And in pure Lucy style, she did not disappoint!! Most exciting race of 2021 for me.

My favourite, in a weird way, was Miami. That race and the penalties etc, can LITERALLY make-or-break a season. You can either let frustration and anger set in, or you can accept it and come back stronger which you most definitely did. With all the youth out there watching you, too, that day was a perfect example of being a true professional.
    Well done, Lucy! 👏

My favourite was the Collins Cup.
I know she worked so hard for her team and it was great to see them win! Lucy had the best split for the swim (obviously lol) and she looked amazing on her bike. I know she had some problems on the bike and run legs but I couldn't tell watching from home. That's how well she was able to cope under pressure and under the weather. (quite literally for this rainy race)
She won her race, gaining points for her team and it was so fun to watch with the point system as well!
It motivated me a lot to compete for myself as well as for other people on my team. :)

Lucy's 1500m Olympic Trials was my favorite race to see! As a swimmer, I know how hard it is to revert back to pool swimming from open water swimming and her accomplishment was very impressive! It also set her up to have an amazing season!

The best race was the 70.3 World Championship at St. George! In my opinion, that race was perfectly executed from start to finish and your competitors could not get anywhere near you. Wishing you all the best for your races in 2022! Go Lucy! 💪🏊‍♀🚴‍♀🏃‍♀

I don’t wanna be cliche but the 70.3 world championship was the most legendary one!!! It just change my mentality to an a competition level when Lucy said that she only brought a red dress to the final day press… A dress that only the winner could wear it! This is what Lucy and this Chanel teach us every video!!! That is the mentality we should have.

I think for me it’s a close call between the arena games and the Olympic trials. To see Lucy test herself against dedicated swimmers and gone a great account for herself and ability was incredible. The arena games were just such a fun format to spectate and is a great new dynamic set up for the sport.
Thanks for taking us on your journey Lucy and keep the great vids coming.

The most enjoyable race of Lucy's to watch this year, or perhaps any year was 100% the 70.3 World Championship. I have been following Lucy since she burst onto the scene in 2017 and to see her be so dominate across all 3 disciplines and to finally be crowned World Champion was truly incredible and a sporting moment that I will remember for a long time and I am looking forward to seeing what you have in store in 2022.

It’s hard to put something above the dominant performance at St George, but as a swimmer, I have to say watching you sprint to the touch at the 1500m trials had me on the absolute edge of my seat. Super impressive to put in a few weeks of dedicated swim work and be so close against full-time swimmers while contending with hotel quarantine.

My absolute favourite was the Ironman 70.3 World Championships at St. George. I watched via the TH-cam channel. You didn't put a foot wrong the entire day. My over-riding thoughts were: 1. "Now Lucy has all 3 engines (swim, bike & run) precisely where they need to be". And 2. "Holy C#+p! What would the gap be to second place if this was a full Ironman?" HUUUUUGE congratulations!

St George of course, because it’s everything you worked for. But also challenge Miami- from your flying dismount 😂to getting a penalty and showing true sportsmanship and not pouting about it. That’s what shows a true athlete. You will always be my favorite Lucy! You inspire me everyday!

I think i enjoyed your 1500m Olympic trials swimming race the most . LOVED watching her compete and win the iron man world championship. Firstly because I have been following her for years and seen how much hard work she has put into winning it, it must have meant everything when she crossed that finishing line. Also she was so dominant throughout the whole race that it just showed what a amazing athlete she is. Mainly it has inspired me to never give up, keep working on my goals until I get them. For me it has to be the 70.3 World Champs. I remember watching from start to finish the race and to see the culmination of all your hard work finally realised. It not only meant a British woman being on the top of the podium but as someone that is proud to be British, it brought emotion and tears as you ran down the final 100m. It was truly inspirational and motivational at a time of uncertainty in our lives, to the extent that at the age of 57 I want to do my first 70.3 and to look to help others to realise their potential whatever that may be and at whatever age.

I would say the WTS in Abu Dhabi. You have demonstrated all your real capabilities. Perfect swim, racing with front group saving some energies… you could have led that group very easy… executed a perfect transition from swim to bike… despite you lost the front after few km you managed to ride solo for more than 15km keeping the chasing group away… that’s absolutely amazing… run was perfect too considering overall race and climate conditions (hot and humid). I am sure that you will get your best carrier satisfactions in the short distances (Olympics in Paris 2024)… long courses you do not have rival… it is just needed a normal day without problems or penalties, which took away the WC title last year. Go Lucy we are all with you!!! Giuseppe

The Arena Games were so much fun to watch because it was so different. But the 70.3 WC was such an amazing race! Congratulations on a great year!

Easily St. George 70.3. Coming out with a win against the top competition on such a demanding course is crazy impressive! Had a blast following along.

100% the 70.3 World Championship. I've been following you for so many years now and I always knew you were capable of becoming a World Champion, which you finally have and it was just so amazing to see. I was so happy for you and just amazed by how you were the fastest in each discipline. It made a statement that you are the ONE to beat and that Kona is gonna be the race of 2022 for you!

Definitely 70.3 World to see an athlete have the fastest swim, bike and run is something we rarely see. Truly dominant a true world champion!
