Hey Paul, been following you for a while now since I saw your breakdowns on Trench. As an aspiring songwriter/producer, it's super inspiring to see your process and listen to your stories about the songs. It means so much that you are willing to share this stuff and help display the process in a less daunting light. Thanks again man
These sneak peaks into your guys genius are simply sensational, thank you Paul Meany! In my humble opinion, Clancy is the Best Twenty One Pilots Album and is the Album of the Year to me.
Love how the original version had "fall away" instead of "I'll try again"! Maybe it was too distracting, unlike the other callbacks in Clancy that reference the old lines rather than repeat them (e.g. "tribute to zombies, of which I've become")
Very cool insight. Thanks, Paul. You're the man. I was lucky enough to catch four shows by MUTEMATH when you all visited Lawrence, KS and Kansas City years ago. I can honestly say they were some of the greatest shows I've ever been to. I especially remember one at The Beaumont that was epic on so many levels. Thanks again for everything you've done for music.
Right after “tight on time” dropping to just piano and drums was absolutely the right call. Impactful. I don’t even know exactly what it is about it that gets to me, but it does, every time, even after the many many times I’ve heard it already.
My music writing and producing skills just kept growing and growing since I've started listening to tøp and watch your videos Paul, I'm really thankful for that
My absolute favorite song on the record. Love these bts videos you've been doing. I wish my brain worked like yours does. I've been playing gyutar for 20+ years and still don't have a single song recorded.
Not related to the video (which i absolutely love all these behind-the-scenes videos btw), but I am so flippin excited for your new album Paul, you have no idea! No Such Thing is already likely to end up on my Spotify wrapped this year based on how much I've listened to it these past couple weeks since it came out. So pumped to hear what's next!
@@rabremakes sadly i think you are right. But logic pro x used to share project like Ocean Eyes by Billie Eilish or Montero by Lil Nas X so why not Twenty One Pilots?
Thank you Paul!
That original B section gives major Ben Folds vibes. I really like it
Yes! Thank you, I couldn't place it and it was really bugging me. 😆
i'm pretty sure tyler said in an interview once that Ben Folds was one of his favorite artists as a kid so that would make sense
Is no one gonna talk about the part where the caption said "this is probably the start of a new song"👀🤔 0:55
FRFR AND IT SOUNDS SO GOOD I CANT WAIT
He just keeps giving us hints
I absolutely love the sound of that
Paul knows exactly how much these things mean to us. We love you!
Please do more of these Paul these are amazing

Ok that original B section sounded pretty dope tho
It’d be great to pull that out for another song later.
IT DID

Thankful for you and twenty one pilots
Always enjoy breakdowns. Thanks Paul!
The original B section sounds early Twenty One Pilots

This really satiated the craving!
Love these breakdowns - and also the In-N-Out shirt!

A great song! This is some fun behind the scenes type of stuff. Thanks for sharing! 😊🙏

B section sounds like something they would've done for the Takeover Tour

Thank you for doing these, they're so cool
This is so inspiring thank you
Low key my favorite producer
your shirt is fire 🔥🔥🔥
the tambour of even his speaking voice is so good
I can’t lie, I like the unreleased stuff more than this actual song. That B side sounds way more interesting
These are so good!
So amazing! This is so difficult to do and you make it look so easy!
Love this videos

THE ORIGINAL B SECTION IS LITERALLY VESSEL.
Is no one gonna talk about the fact that Paul might have leaked a new song!?!?!?
Such great insight. You're the dude!
Oh snap! That was brilliant!

ok im glad to know the other song now
“You can be so cold, I’ll fall away”
“I don’t wanna fall, fall away”
The 🐐 ❤
that b section if it went through the trench treatment would've been platinum
DUDE THIS IS SO COOL
Oh man. Would love to see Paul do a breakdown on Beato’s channel sometime. Would be neat.
I would very much like an album made entirely of all the versions of midwest indigo please
