i mean i’ve always thought dean knew cas the best and always would do anything for him. i don’t see how you think he treated cas horribly at all, like in season 6 (i think) when cas teamed up with Crowley, dean was the one who was giving him the benefit of the doubt and thinking there had to be another explanation. he was always heartbroken when cas would suddenly disappear for long periods of time. and he was the first one to know that something was up with cas in season 8 (after purgatory and with Naomi) i’m not trying to hate on sastiel at all (because i also ship that a tiny bit) i just wanted to give my opinions on destiel 😅

Well in the show we always had more scenes of this kind between Sam and Cass than between Dean and Cass. They make Dean say a sentence every now and then like "Cass is family " but then they don't have this great friendship. I ship wincest but I see how much Sam and Cass care for each other. They demonstrated it in words AND actions.

I'm a Destiel shipper and I always loved Sastiel as a brotp. Like, Sam is always been there for Castiel, same goes with Cas. I know Destiel's relationship is almost toxic, despite Castiel's latest "I love you" and I also know that Sammy is always been kind, sweet, loyal and respectful with Cas. Destiel gets a lot of attention, and the Sastiel is not as appreciated as that ship, although it deserves all the interest and love of the world.
