I never understood why those early 2000s Cavaliers drumlines always played with such a delicate, feathery touch. PLAY THROUGH THE DRUMS LIKE THE GROWN MEN YOU ARE. THEY’RE DRUMS. THEY WANT TO BE HIT.
This has to be my favorite cavs show. Frameworks was obviously amazing and high scoring, but something about this show just resonated with me. I love the concept. Oh yeah... the snare line too :)
My favorite of the Cavaliers "Trifecta" shows. Frameworks gets most of the hype but it was my least favorite. Niagara Falls comes in a close second to Four Corners.
Back beat at :54 is the best part of that show... such a simple but solid groove and fits perfect with the ensemble.... definition of less is more drumming...
What, do they think that all together they're better than Gene Krupa??? Why would choose to mount cymbals on snares and play hi-hat parts in an original show??? J/K, this is simply awesome!
The Crop that got me into corp.....
Thanks for your positive contribution to the future of 🥁🎺 corps.
That roll though....booom!

DEAR GOD THAT SHOT 0:09
have seen this video so many times over the years, and it still makes me go "damn!"
Dude had to have just pulled out a pistol and popped off for that one
So this was part of the hidden show (under-rated) behind the 3-peat ;)
Btw this book is just soooo freaking groovy..!
Does anyone know where the first part of the video was taken?
the years that McIntosh was on staff writing most of the battery were the best....
That groove is sick

Video Quality sure looks like 20 years old... but more like the 70s 😉
sweetest tenor visuals ever.
Highest quad tuning I've ever heard in my life
I love the tuning of Drumlines in the late 90s and early 00s. Nowadays you have turn my ear to acting hear the drums, lol.

Cadets - 01, 02, 03, 05
SCV - 04
Phantom Regiment - 06
cavies swept every caption in 02 i know that for sure....but i thought they won drums in 01 as well
Michael Spooner they didn’t win percussion in 2002.
Cadets had that run of 3 straight drum titles from 01-03
The shot at 4:26 is piss clean.
