  • Mechanical skill is very important if you want to reach Immortal in Valorant. In order to develop good mechanical skills you need to train. The only question is, where do you start? In this video I teach you three training exercises I have my students perform. Try these exercises out and let me know how they’ve helped down below in the comments.

I hit plat 1 last act for the first time, I'm gonna try this for 30 days, I'm going to update this comment every 1-2 days. if I don't somebody spam reply me in the comments. *2023*
Day 1: Today I did a "warm up" it lasted about 40 minutes. I added in a bit of aimlabs microflick hopefully I preform well in ranked. (I played a couple deathmatches did decent played 1 comp did pretty good
Day 2: Today I did some training ranked and deathmatch started off bad but now its going good. I guess it paid off! (Also did some more aimlabs Gridshot microflick 3x3 girdshot and tracking)
Day 3: I wasnt feeling well today so I just spent 1 hour training added in some aimlabs and then got off. hopefully when I play again I do good.
Day 4: Woke up feeling alot better did some more training and actually had fun playing aimlabs, then played comp and got match MVP with Neon 26/13/2 (EDIT I forgot to update this but we hit plat 1 again!!! WWW!!)
Day 5: Did a little bit of training today. I wasnt feeling very well today, I lowkey have no idea whats going on. pretty sure i'll be fine by tomorrow. I played some deathmatch and aimlabs I did good I just had trouble staring at the screen without fetting a headache.
Day 6: Today I played well in ranked I'm half way to plat 2 now. things are going pretty well. I also used a tool that aimlabs provided that finds you're perfect sens it worked perfectly. I used to play on .8 400 dpi now I play on .6 400 dpi I switched on day 4 I just forgot to add it here.
Day 7: Today I decided to celebrate the first week and take a small break, I played a new game called the finals. had some fun, but before doing that I made sure to train in the range and also do some aimlabs.
Day 8: didnt get to play any comp today was gone all day, I still managed to get some training in tho. hyped for tomorrow
Day 9: Today didnt really go so well, it started off good. did training and won 2 deathmatches, played comp won 2 games, then I lost 1 but I did good during that game, lost another I did okay that game, I lost another one I didnt do very well. 5/15 I didn't really feel like playing after that. I hate being inconsistent I wanna try and find a way to fix it. even with all this training I still do horrible in games and I wanna fix that.
Day 10: Today wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be, I did some training won a deathmatch played 1 comp game won did pretty good on Jett as sonodo told me to stop playing neon,
then played another game did alright. but we lost, it was 3/9 after the first half we almost brought it back tho. its fine that we lost tho because I wasnt worried about winning i wanted to focus on improving.
Day 11: Didnt get much time to play today but I did do a little bit of training maybe 10 minutes worth. ima try my hardest to put some work in on day 12 👀
Day 12: Holy crap today was wild, I woke up and didnt really feel like playing valorant, later during the day my friend said we should play comp. I trained a little bit aimlabs and a deathmatch and some of the tracking training. played comp and went beast mode, I dropped 27/17/7 and then 25/16/10 I'm hoping I get more games like these
(I forgot to say this but I was hitting all 1 taps with the sheriff too, I later played swiftplay and dropped 20 kills in there too!)
Day 13: Didnt have much time to play a comp but I did train and play a dm and I did pretty well.
Day 14: today went good, I learned something. I need to work on my movement, not my aim, I'll continue to do this practice tho (Because I want TenZ like aim) I played 2 comp games and went
9/12 and 17/20 I'm gonna try and record a vod of my gameplay and have sondo review it so he can see the mistakes I make.
Day 15: Recorded a vod and saw SO MANY FLAWS, i'm working on fixing all of them but I need to focus on movement, because my counter strafing isnt go good. but apart from that today was good I'm half way to plat 2.
Day 16: Something insane happened today, I got to play with sondo, and we 5 stacked, and I fought ascendants, not only that but I did good! it was like I belonged in those lobbies, it was like a average comp game for me, and then later that day sondo helped me find a duo and we played plat and it was so easy, I hit plat 2!!! I'm 80 rr away from plat 3. I have a feeling I can hit diamond if I keep this up!
Day 17: Half way to plat 3 me and my duo have really been winning games, but at the game time I havent been playing much, today ima go for atleast 5 games, i'm feeling confident today!
Day 18: Forgot to update it, but I almost feel back down to p1, I'm still fighting for my life in plat elo LOL but i'm kinda up right now. it turns out that the problem isnt my aim at all, its my movement and crosshair placement, so i'm going to continue working on that. I'm still doing this aim routine daily tho.
Day 19: Alright, im at that point where I barely need to do aim training anymore. I can just hop on the game and play, I dropped 35 kills in plat elo. the game ended in a draw, not only that i dropped another 25 in the second game, it was also a draw. I wanna try and play more lately i've been barely playing.
Day 20: I'm doing good in games but I keep losing, I think its because of my mental because of something that happened recently, I wont go into detail here. but im going to continue focusing on my aim movement crosshair placement and mental. also im sorry for not updating as much as I have, its been well over 30 days and I can confirm this aim routine works, my aim has improved in valorant.
Day 21: We hit plat 3! with 9 days in the act. I consistently drop atleast 15-25 kills in each plat game! I still have to work on a few things.
Day 22: havent been updating this recently but the act is over and I almost deranked but tried really hard and dropped 30/15 so im in p3 with 10 rr 😅gonna try playing more soon.
Day 23: I'm almost at diamond 1! 7 rr away. I'm gonna try playing comp later today to see if I can hit diamond. this new act is bouta be lit
Day 24: I'm going to start adding dates so people don't keep on replying 💀alright April 30th: I played 2 comp games as I said before I was 7 rr away. I got mvp that game 23/13 and lost 19 rr it was truly unfortunate. but me and my friend decided to duo queue and we won a game 14/12 and I got 14 rr back so now im 12 rr away from diamond. I'm hoping to hit it this week if I try hard enough
Day 25: May 3rd, i'm 10 rr away from diamond, i keep wining and loosing the thing is i keep getting match MVP (No joke) I'm constantly dropped 20-30 kills in plat-diamond lobbies. I'm gonna keep working on my aim and my crosshair placement and game sense (Update, I lost 24 rr 😭)
Day 26: May 4th Finally hit diamond, i'm so happy I aced to close the game out too, I was 10 rr in and played with my friends but we lost, so im back at 0 rr 💀hopefully i can hit diamond 2 before the battlepass ends (may the 4th be with you 🌟)
Day 27: May 6th I mvp'd in diamond lobbies 💀I'm pretty sure this is ment to be, ima keep working on my game and crosshair placement because im still struggling with it
Day 28: May 8-16th I deranked from diamond twice now but I keep getting it back, I keep mvping in those lobbies and I face ex ascendants I'm not doing bad tho, I think i'm losing because either i'm not playing with my team enough or my team isnt good enough (yes sometimes I blame my team) I also think my mental is bad and I need to work on that, I've also noticed everytime I come back into diamond I go further, last time I was 58 rr in diamond 1 next time, i'll go further.. (I'ma try to update thsi more)
Day 29: May 21-30 I got 92 rr into diamond, I havent had a game where I've had a negative kd in so long.. I have a 821/1000 tracker score, it says i'm improving fast. again I apologize not not updating this sometimes I just don't have time, i'll continue you to update this if I can, and again this warm up works, my aim is actually really good. the guy is to just take it slow to build muscle memory, and I'd just like to say thank you to everyone for reading this and asking for updates.
Day 30: June 2nd [THE FINAL UPDATE (maybe?)] Today is the final day of me updating this comment, its been fun my aim is pretty much cracked now someone in the replies said I should make a video out of this so I might, but i'd like to say thank you to everyone who supported me and asked for updates daily, I'd also like to say i'm satisfied and got the results I was hoping for, I learned many things along the way, and I still have much more to improve on, I'm hoping I can reach asc by the next episode but i'd just like to say that, Having good aim is great, however there are some things it can't really do, You need game sense good movement and good positioning to actually win games Before trying to get good on aim i'd recommend learning all those other things, again Thank you to sondo301 for coaching me, thank you to kyop for being a reliable duo and everyone who kept motivating me, GLHF everyone. - rayy

After trying for 3 days of training, This training routine is working like a charm, now my aim is more calm and not shooting like an idiot
    Update:
Reach gold 3 Today, the first 3 days I'm having a major improvement.
After 1 week, not really have changed my aim is inconsistent and I don't feel any improvement anymore. I'm adding 2 death match after doing the training routine and yep another major improvement, hopefully I can make my aim more consistent.
UPDATE may 31: Reach Plat today, aim getting better, get some Head and for my first time Get a 30 Kill in a single match okay then that's for now
    Update:June 10
Having a Super bad aim 2 days ago, and then I'm like giving myself some rest after nonstop Aim training for like a week, and then I'm playing again today and feeling fresh and yep got my aim back, Remember to give yourself some Rest guys it's good for u

This is so freaking helpful, thank you so much!! Didn't realize how important it is to relax on the grip of the mouse aside from the forearm placement. The rest of the video is an icing to the cake
    Previous 3 games: negative KDA
    Next 3 games:
    1. 9/9/14
    2. 25/11/8
    3. 15/13/7
    :D
I might be adding this training as part of my routine, since I just play straight compe. Using The Range like the way you taught me showed me a different perspective, since I mostly just go 30 bots medium then try to 1 tap. Now I'm becoming a bit more patient when engaging fights.

Question about "forearm not being rested on the table"-are you saying to be positioned like the guys shown in the video at that time, or NOT to be like them? Should we be lifting our arm up so the forearm doesn't touch the desk at all, or should it just lightly be on the desk as long as we aren't leaning our weight onto it? (I feel like what you meant must have been the latter)

I have been watching and practice with your video recently. I have tried the training routine in this clip for 5 times until now and it did help my aim has a huge improvement. Usually before i was very nervous and freaking in any gun fight, it cause me botfrag every single game i win, and i also lose in every game im topfrag ( cause my team are new in game, not because i play well in that game). But everything has change since i training with Sondo301's routine. I feel more confident, being calm at more shot (i play guardian only so no spray, no crouch ever happen), i start to jiggling like a habit while killing the enemy who also jiggling, first time doing that make me feel like a pro 😂😂. In total, that just 5 hours of training 1 of his video, and i already play a lot better (most game i will be top frag or 2nd), there still a chance that i was lucky in my recent game but i dont feel that way and i cant really wait to share it with you guys.

to be clear you can position your arm however as long as your comfortable and its not hindering you too much, my forearm sits on my table but is very rarely planted is the difference; majority of the time you never wanna plant your arm on your desk. tracking is what im best at and i the way i play does not hinder me at all and even helps, Val is a more horizontal focused game than say Overwatch; you shouldnt be planting most the time but you wont need as much vertical movement for a TacFPS so try and keep that in mind if you're wondering how you should position you arm based on the games you main.

For people who are asking if these tutorials/ tips work or not, I have started playing Valorant as my first tactical shooter in 2020, but I couldn't do much since I have never played any shooter before, so I was placed in Iron 1, and after trying several months, I reached Bronze, and left playing the game out of disappointment. Then, in late 2023 I started playing it again. I researched some youtube tutorials, and this popped in my screen, after doing it for a long time, I was able to reach gold for the first time. Then I improvised my tutorial with Sondo301's other tips, I reached plat 3. So, my two cents would be, find the tutorials which suit you best and do them on a regular basis, then improvise a little to your comfort zone. I think you will be able to rank up, as for ranking higher, you gotta grind hard, use game sense more, and remain patient (calm in game). Thanks Sondo301, and everyone else.

Yo, Sondo! First, thanks for all your helpful videos. I have a question, if you don't mind me asking. For the hour of training, should I do the exercises one followed by the other, right? For example, exercise 1 for 3 minutes, then exercise 2 for 5 minutes, then bots on easy, medium, and back to exercise 1.

    • @izipigi2588
      @izipigi2588 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

I think it doesn't matter that much bro. I personally prefer to do one exercise for extended time and after that I move to another.
But I think that you should just find out what works best for you. If you can focus better when you move from one exercise to another in shorter period of time, then it's probably your way to go.

Hey this is a really great guide. I’m currently trying exercise 1 and I wrist aim on a high sens so it’s hard to track the head. I’m just wondering - do you arm aim or wrist sim? Or if you do a combination of both, when you’re tracking the head in exercise 1 are you using your arm or wrist to track? And lastly what is your sensitivity? Thanks so much!

@@TheNeek000 Here is my take on sens, (as someone who struggled for ages to decide which one i should stick to)
      1. Sens don't matter that much, if you record your gameplay you'll see that most of the time when you lose your duels it's not really because you overflicked or underflicked but more likely that you crosshair placement was not good, you were still moving and other variables like this. (sometimes the opponent is just better as well)
      2. A good sens is simply a sens that is both comfortable and controllable, in my case i started playing at 0.475 (800dpi) and my god it feels amazing while still being controllable, i do need to practice my tracking and flickshots now but i feel so much more confident than when i used lower sens like 0.3 or bellow
      3. I would recommend the PSA Method to find your sens if you really do struggle with it. It's a simple calculator that you can find online where you input a base sens (360° sens) and then test both low and high sens and see which one you prefer. at the end it gives you a sens based on your preferences

i just recently hit silver 3 which is my peak (yay!) and i'm trying to do the first exercise and i'm....horribly, horribly bad at it. like, it's borderline impossible for me unless i'm super close to the bots. do you think this is just because i'm still lowelo and haven't practiced this specific movement much (or at all?) or is my sens too high? i'm on 1600 dpi and .32 in game sens

    • @nitinchandranath3851
      @nitinchandranath3851 ปีที่แล้ว

0.32 1600 is a bit high but if u feel comfortable on it then I think it’s fine. You just need to keep practicing. My sens rn is 0.4 800 which is a good bit lower than yours but don’t worry too much. If u do feel like changing ur sens don’t change it a lot. Maybe lower it to 0.25 ish and then just stick to it

To be fair, training for one hour may be a little too long since we will eventually feel burnt out and our aim won't be improving due to fatigue. I think the most ethical solution is to just train until you get comfortable with your aim then stop. After all, the purpose of aim training is to get comfortable rather than just stressing yourself and waste lots of time in the process. Sure, it may helped but keep in mind that your life don't have much "one hour" for you to just train.

2)spawn default practice bots, choose side right or left. Switch from bot to bot, aim for precision not speed. For 5 min long.
    3) following woohoojin,
Easy mode bots, stand still until bot spawns, move when it spawns and until crosshair is on the head then stop(release movement key) and shoot

I am not putting any pressure but it still hurts 😅. Keeping control of the crosshair is hard. I lasted around 35 min for the training.
Btw I am still unranked , my ranked isn't even open yet.

Thank you for the video! What if I can't train for an hour a day? How many times a week is it desirable to exercise at least?Or can I cut my workout down to 30 minutes? 30 minutes sounds like a lot to me)

Don’t train before you play ranked. I say how long to do everything in the video. Train for an hour but only warmup for 20-30 minutes

@@sondo301_ why no training before ranked? Do you suggest training at the end of the day?
