Another excellent video, I mounted an extra larger heat sink with thermal paste on top of my relay as well for added extra cooling. It's a cool red anodized one that no one will ever see, LOL. If you fiddle with computers, you have stuff just filling up boxes hoping to be used one day.
Lol! Thank you! Yeah man, I have about 100 XBOX 360 heat sinks. Leftovers of Tinkering before the TH-cam channel. I found em when I was looking for my thermal paste ! Haha
nice video, bro ! This confirms my experience with after market parts - I therefore keep the OEM parts installed until those fail - usually the original parts do have better quality.
Hey bud, always enjoy your vids. Question do you know the diameter of the fan? Trying to convert my ZJ to e-fan and think size might fit being the rad size and style is not that far off from the ZJ. Thanks in advanced.
You can use a Lincoln Mark VIII fan with very minimal shroud trimming, on the zj! you could also find the original 5.9 e-fan but those are almost nonexistent
Another great video Dan! As a Phillies fan, cant say the same for the hat though 😂 jk man I tried the "add a mechanical fan, its better" years ago, as recommended by Jeep forum members and guess what? When the e fan totally crapped out...the mechanical did absolutely nothing, it overheated! Was a real pain getting that crap off... in the garbage it went 😂
After replacing 5 fans in a span of 4 years, I finally replaced the thermostat with a new 195 degree one, and low and behold, the fan only kicks on 1/10th of the time. I suspect my fans were lasting about an oil change interval, because it was coming on too often to cool the truck, which used to run at 210.
I always do just the opposite, I gave my WJs mechanical fan away years ago. Even My BMW E39 I got rid of the mechanical fan. But, if we were all the same, we'd all be chasing the same girl...

Damn I have to come thru with my jeep. You can make a whole other series with what I have to do with my Xj.
lol!
No kidding bro. Found out today all my brake bleeder valves are frozen hahah

What year jeep is that?
2003 Grand Cherokee Laredo
Me watching this video knowing I have a short to ground on my wj causing me to have no o2 sensors and no fan solenoid control lol
Oh man!!! Sorry brother. Wires suck!
Bro you could of just loosen the bolts from the shroud and it will come right out . Dont have to take off front end.
Did it for filming so people can see in there
Didn't have to remove the bumper or the grill
Не понятно, зачем пол морды разобрал. Я менял вентилятор не разбирая морду. Просто открутил 4 болта крепления и установил другой.
The bumper was off for painting and I wanted more room to take the fan out without disconnecting the radiator lines
Install a Mechanical fan and forget all that....
Nah. Mech fans steal power!

@@ProjectDanHAgreed, but won't get stuck when the Efan craps out and she overheats..
Truth!
@@r.weaver3769I canned my mech fan for an E fan back in the day on my foxbody mustang
Rat He Ate Her...LOL!!!!

JEEP MY LIFE! Ha haaa!
